The brontosaurus level gave me fucking PTSD as a kid, the tension and suspense as well the abject terror of both dodging the brontos and avoiding the raptors is so well done. The ending where everything goes silent and even the raptor start running because the Giant Trex is on its way. Brilliant game design.

even back in 2005, this was a game that felt truly "next-gen" to me; good graphics, follows many aspects of a movie I loved, included a bunch of the original actors, and not having a hud was completely new to me at the time very impressive and ahead of it's time for a nearly two decade old game

The way the voice acting and the atmosphere come together is awesome. Creeping alone through a dark cave with the only audible noise being water droplets hitting the cave floor and Jack’s ragged, terrified breathing. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Couldn’t agree more, 9.999999/10 times video game of the movie games suck ass & are usually unplayable, the voice actors usually completely phone in their performance especially if it’s the original actor from the movie but King Kong was amazing in terms of gameplay, graphics, replay factor & voice acting.

@@xJakeeyy yes me too, I had so much fun with this game growing up to the point my mum bought it for me on like 3 separate consoles without even realising 😂 I played the fuck out of it on original Xbox, nothing was quite as fun and rewarding as a kid playing these games that had shit tons of unlocks, secrets, the museum you could visit, secret endings that had another secret ending within it, honestly had so much to offer, it’s like the Spider-Man 1 game, they made an entire secondary story with the green goblin unlock & a different fighting system too for a Damn secret, mid to early 2000’s games had the best secrets Easter eggs and cheats honestly, was really disappointed with the cheats in gta 5 when it came out

I’m 28 now and had this when it first came out on ps2 and I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing it. The mechanics this game had back then we’re mind blowing at the time and the different play styles mixed with the voice acting and setting brought everything together perfectly. I’d cash out for a modern remaster for sure. I also loved the cheat cods KKTGun with god mode was cool to use while taking on the vrex’s

There is not a single shooter that I've played in my life that left as strong of an impression on me as this game, the jungle setting feels dangerous just from the weather and scenerio's you're put through. Animations are absolutely solid from the gunplay to spearing enemies, atmosphere could switch from peak action to horror setting on a dime. This deserves a remaster of some kind, I feel like a full on remake would ruin it since modern devs don't get it anymore

Played this game so many times, and opted for the alt ending when I could. The journey is scary, claustrophobic at times, and the survival aspect often left us pulling desperate moves to get out of hairy situations. Still looks incredible.

Two things I really liked about the game. Firstly, the game doesn't tell you how much ammo you have. Jack has to check and tell the player. More realistic and it could cost you dearly if you didn't check for a while or forgot. Secondly, is the aspect of the food chain. Few games implement it as well as it is done here.

9 year old me played this when it first released. I was obsessed with the movie, game, and had comics with all the Skull Island lore. This was one of my fave games as a kid. Freaking awesome.

This game was AMAZING. Terrifyingly atmospheric and one of the best examples of how good video game movies used to be back in the day when you had the actors do the voice acting.

This is still one of my favorite games of all time. There is no other game like it and by now its surprising that no kind of Jurassic Park game was made in the same vein. The film-like presentation, survival mechanics, the way the game makes you feel helpless and small against these giant creatures. Even the insects are terrifying. Its just so well made.

I’m so happy that you uploaded this gameplay. Peter Jackson’s King Kong is my favorite version of King Kong. They seriously need to remaster this game for PlayStation 5. Then maybe a year after that, they can completely remake this game from the ground up and make it even better than before just like they did with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series.

Legit one of my favorite dinosaur games of all time. The ambience of the world, the bleak atmosphere, the creatures. That part where the V-Rex suddenly appears for the first time and you have to avoid him. Thank you for this video. Gonna play again now!

NGL, when I played this game on PS2 when I was younger, I think it looked even scarier because of the lower screen resolution of my old tv, and that the old av colors made the game appear darker and grittier. This is the game I keep forgetting how incredible it was, and still holds up today.

First time to this channel, First time I've stumbled across someone playing this absolute GEM of a game. I played this so much as a kid it bring such a smile to my face to see this game again. As far as Underrated games go, I think this is as underrated as they can get. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
