King Kong 2005 All Deleted Scenes 

I don't know why they cut that out. It would've made the entire Voyage scene worthwhile.

I strongly disagree. Here's why: I've seen King Kong dozens of times and the way they have used the short snippet of this dance scene with the ominous strings soundtrack is SUPERB! I recommend watching it again in flow. It occurs when the film is building up tension, the ship is going off route into unknown waters, the people/crew are blissfully unaware of things to come. So in the film this song/dance with a chilling soundtrack conveys a tone of unease, and supercharges the scene with dramatic irony - we the audience know things are about to change soon for the whole ship and seeing them perform like this makes it all even more chilling for us. The deleted happy go lucky song and dance routine - fun though it may be - would have really changed the tone of the film/scene and the tension would have fizzled out. Watch the scene again from the point where Denham/Preston are accosted in the room by Lumpy/Mr. Hayes! (And also look out for this bit of AMAZING Sound Design: just before this song/dance, a water glass in scared-shitless Preston's room falls to the ground and shatters - that sound stupendously morphs into crashing waves against the ship's bow in the next cut) Geez I love this film and the soundtrack by James Newton Howard (composed in less than a month)! Enjoy :)

What Preston was saying that to Carl it’s what I’ve been saying about Denham for YEARS. Threw all of his friends lives for a paycheck down the hole and when that didn’t work he tore an ape from his home… greed is the worst for villains, they’ll keep pushing through everything.

@@umbramaex It's just hilarious in every scene whenever something crucial is happening he is always filming not even helping or anything and not to mention he caused the wreckage of a city and the death of an innocent animal.

If Peter Jackson can make the Extended Edition of the Return of the King's runtime over 4 hours, I wouldn't mind him doing the same here.

I agree, wanting to maintain a runtime of 90 to 150 minutes is fine, but sometimes that's a disadvantage because it forces you to pick and choose what you wanna leave in and it leaves you limited to how much of a story you're able to tell. It's like writing an essay that's due in 3 days, where the expectation is up there. And yes, the CGI still looks (MmmMWAH!!) beautifully done. Even the deleted scenes look well done, even if some of them are blue and green screen which is quite funny to be honest.

same!! i felt the same thing everytime i saw this movie, especialy when ther first time back then 2005... i saw twice at theatre, one with my boyfriend next day with my friends, the excited, the wonder, the trill, the heartbreak, everything great with this film

They this movie very accurate to the time setting and they made the animals so realistic by not making them some invincible colorful aliens but instead making them animals that look like they have adapted from their environment and have them be killable to add even more realism like they went to great lengths of world building

Yah me too and later on in the movie he gets dragged down by a few surviving venatosaurus from the stampede and they maul him to death and while also feasting on his corpse. Yah this poor soul had the worst luck. I used to watch this movie a lot as a child and herbs death used to terrify me the most that and the centipede that ann encounters in the log.

The first time I watch the movie I don't feel anything when the crew all dies but after these scenes and if they show us all of them have their own personality and fun. It will give more impact to the viewers when they died imo

I'd imagine because there would be no clear bad guy in that scene to root against - the soldiers are just doing their job to defend their homeland, and Kong doesn't know any better. It's kind of a lose-lose. Cool scene though.

As someone whom absolutely cherishes this movie, I respectfully disagree. There was already a TON of great content when we return to New York. Even more so in the Extended Version. Having this scene be cut let us have a nice break to catch our breath for the big epic plane finale.

I feel as though , it would be harder for the audience to like Kong after he just slaughtered a bunch of American Troops . The same for Ann , why would Ann still want to be with Kong after seeing something like that . Because before all that , Kong wasn’t debilitating killing anyone. And Ann didn’t witness any of the destruction until maybe catching up to when jack gets caught.

It would've been cool if the extended edition featured more creatures

@@joshuagonzalez3099 If you have played the King Kong game that came out for Xbox and PC, they say in an interview that the creatures in the game would have been in the movie if they found a suitable place for them, but they didn't. Many creatures ended up in the game instead.

You're right, this scene showed that the team went to save Ann not just out of generosity, but that she became their good friend. Also in this scene, the moment with Hayes pushing Jimmy to dance with Ann is indicative, where we understand that Hayes is like a foster father for Jimmy.

@@user-df5od6xx2r The Father and Son bond with Jimmy and Hayes always makes me breakdown in tears and when I the saw the Spider Pit scene when Jack is embracing Jimmy and comforting him it just shows us that how much Hayes meant to Jimmy he lost the only father figure and family he had left

i found that cool man. He was still able to put out his 1911 Pistol and give the Raptor 2 shots in the head. Pretty impressive. Only to be then picked up by tje next raptor. Wished they would kept it in. Some of those sailors were badasses.

It would be not realistic that Hayes corpse was intact on the insect pit at that point.
