nnana I think the reason he uses the word a lot Is he’s associated the colour with a person - baby blue - a former lover or would be lover. Baby blue is the song singing about his relationship with her and how he should’ve expressed his love for her when he had the chance, out getting ribs baby blue is mentioned at the end of the song in the line ‘but blue I need to rest’ again, representing this girl he has feelings for. Last example is lonely blue, the track exploring archy’s wave of emotions and aftermat of the break up between him and ‘baby blue’. P.S I know this comment over a year old but I only just watched this video and saw the comment aha. Enjoy your day. :)

I fucking fell in love with this dude, I can't get enough of this album, it's bubbling over with talent and great, capturing, emotional, beautiful, sad moments. I feel like a strong 8 on it. One of my favorite albums of the decade really. It could be a little bit more consistent with a few tracks being more forgettable than the others, but it never kills the mood, but rather feels like you have some nice interludes between the 'bangers'. Borderline is hands down one of the most beautiful tracks of the decade and I'm completely addicted to it

I'd give it a heavy 8 to light 9, sorry, but light 7 is injustified. His songs weren't streched to 5 minutes or whatever. King krule just wanted to make kind of a crescendo (from calm to wild) and it works very well for me. Good constructive review anyway.

I've been listening to this record as of late, thinking it was quite decent, pretty good! I think it's one of those "growers" (for me, anyway). I did however feel horribly inadequate when I learned this dude is actually something like a week younger than I am, and has full record out. Wow man.

have to disagree with the point you made about the songs being stretched out because i think that's something king krule wanted in his songs, for them to be stretched out adds to the vibe to most of the songs. The album really revolves around vintage english sub culture and his life growing up. Favourite songs would be easy easy, out getting ribs, ceiling and borderline

I think this album is a perfect one, that's one of the few singer that can make you feel many emotions at a time. His music really come from his guts. He doesn't give a shit about what people think and when you think that he is only 19 , come on you must be indulgent and expect something for the future. I mean, I listened to all tracks at least 20 times and i'm really not bored of it and I never will.

You gotta give this album another chance. For me, King Krule's songs usually require a second or third listen, but after that, I'm hooked. It happens with all his songs. Do it man, you won't regret it. Shit's tight.

This isn't his statement but it is for sure the best album to have dropped in a long, long time for me. Nothing else has got me so hooked, it just keeps growing on me. I think I've listened to it nearly every day since it has come out and I'm still not bored. He has one of the most exciting sounds I've come across, in my opinion he is going to be the voice of our generation. Looking forward to more x

I really enjoyed the album myself, I think I can say for the most part I agree with your take on the album. I will say that some of the tracks you denounced may have been taken the wrong way. Foreign 2 for example in my opinion helps to keep the mood of the album going. With that said, I am very pleased to see that you enjoy this album.

My interpretation of archeys vocal melodies are his influnces of jazz as jazz is a very intelectual abstract genre that floats a lot with untangible format in songs when compared to many present cultured music. It's a very obtuse and ablivilance music he takes a lot of thought into for the effect. Its a music appreciation like as you mentioned for the sound of his voice itself.

Such a shame Octopus was not in the tracklist of this album too, wonderful piece of music! I believe your review was really solid, it isn't easy not to get carried away by this guys amazing talent, you dug deep in the album and spoke in sobriety. I hope reviews like these help king krule get to the top of his game, which he surely can.

the only thing that i didn't like about 6 Feet is the lack of new songs. I love what he did with his old tracks, but i waited so long to hear new stuff...pretty much since that EP was released in 2011 i wanted to hear more and every time he dropped something it was pure gold, so you can imagine I was pretty anxious to hear this album. Still, it's awesome and Krule as fuck.

Hey Anthony! I pretty much agree with you, except Foreign 2 doesn't bother me. Though it is too long, Ceiling and The Krockadile are faceless, repetitive songs that don't need to be here. My favorite tracks were basically your favorite tracks, but I think he really stretched Out Getting Ribs to its breaking point. Border Line is brilliant. A Lizard State is fun and funky as hell. Overall, it is a great album, but it isn't his big statement.

I really like this album. I've heard of this guy for a while now and listened to snippets of songs, but never really payed attention to him. But I randomly decided to listen to him today, and I'm really glad I did. I think that this album really fills a void for music. I got the same feeling I did the first time I listened to the XX's debut with this album. Well done, King Krule.
