Frodo was not meant by Gandalf to be the bearer. Only to carry it out of the Shire while G sought help and counsel. Gandalf planned to meet Frodo at the Prancing Pony Inn, but G was detained by Saruman.

A disappointing oversight of the movie: when Sauron comes out to face the last alliance leaders, Elendil should have been wearing the Elendilmir, which later Isildur wore at gladden field. After putting on the ring, he puts a hood over Elendilmir. When Isildur swam across he anduin, the ring slipped his finger, but he should still be wearing the Elendilmir. Timing, Gandalf had already escaped from orthanc, got shadowfax, made it Bree just after Frodo left, he went to weathertop,fought four of the ring wraiths, drew them away. Aragorn later leads the hobbits to weathertop, where they were attacked by only the five remaining wraiths

I can't get over the sheer amount of awfulness that is the realisation that this is how many people will first see the trilogy - and never bother with the actual movies themselves. ..the comments down here speak for themselves, after all.

1:00:44 this wizard 1:01:08 the eye...as the designer of the ring, should have focused on capitalising on human needs for example the one who wears the ring is able to create what those around them label as positive behaviour. Thus the ring would still be alive, kill them with kindness
