Nice vid Kapri. I wonder what it would be like to have only 6 troop types in your castle... people are talking about crit marches and crit megas but I haven't seen what it's like if the whole army defending your castle has a critical hit formation... does it help you defend against castle hits/megas? How much more effective is it (if at all) compared to regular mixed formation or t2 spam (or t4/t6/t8 spam if t2 is outdated)? Or is it possible to combine spam and crit to produce a powerful defense formation, e.g. T12 inf cav bow T11 cav bow combined with T2/4/6/8 inf? (I've heard that KOA devs nerfed the spam though, so no idea if that even works...) Normally I would have tested out these ideas with my castle but I quit the game 11 months ago... (but I still watch KOA YT vids occasionally, hard to forget this game completely haha) I wonder what a good T13 crit formation is like. I've seen videos of kingdoms with T13 castles just stacking T13 inf cav bow and T12 inf cav bow on the throne during KVK... but what I've seen, T13 and T12 cavalry are both light cavalry, which makes it a weakness since heavy cavalry is essential for targeting enemy infantry (especially warriors such as T12 infantry since they deal extra damage against warriors). Although bowmen is generally considered the stronger type of attacker compared to cavalry (at least that was the case when I was still playing, is it still the case now?), would it be worth it to put T11 cav (heavy cavalry) into a T13 march? After all T11 cav deal the same damage as T12 cav per troop (you can see that from the troop info inside your troop buildings), same for T11/12 bow... and T12 die before T11 as well... Perhaps some testing needs to be done but I cannot make a definite conclusion on that right now lol By the way, for those in the comments asking why T9 bow is effective when you could put the same number of T11/T12 bow instead, it's because of the way the damage algorithm in the game works. The reason mixed tier formations were effective compared to single tier formations back in the old days (before critical hit was a thing) is because of the fact that troop damage happens to have diminishing marginal returns for each troop type (and there is a lot of empirical evidence to support this, just try hitting golem on a farm with 0% crit chance so that any damage difference cannot be attributed to the random nature of crit hits). This means that sending 200k of a type of troop will deal less than 2x the damage compared to when 100k of the same type of troop is sent. Therefore, after adding a certain number of T11/T12 bowmen, their marginal utility would fall below the initial marginal utility of T9 bows. This is where it becomes profitable to introduce some T9 bows into the formation. Of course, add too much and it will be counterproductive. There is a sweet spot which I do not know how to calculate mathematically... but the optimum damage occurs when equi-marginal utility is achieved. I don't know if KOA changed their damage algorithm since I left, but if they haven't, this is the primary argument supporting the use of T9 bows in a crit formation. Of course, the law of equi-marginal utility suggests that a fully mixed march is the optimal (which is indeed true in the old days), but the fact that critical hit only procs when there are ≤6 troop types and how they still outperform mixed formations means that we should use the suggested crit formation. Why T9 bow instead of T10? Well again, T9 bow targets enemy infantry. As we all know, if your infantry are all dead then the rest of your troops will soon follow. Anyways sorry for huge wall of text. Cheers
@@JohanDDAnderssonKD246 Yes. T9 bows attack enemy infantry directly while T10 bows target enemy cavalry. However, not all of the damage dealt by T10 bow ends up killing the enemy cavalry. From my experience in the royal arena, the enemy infantry tries to "protect" the rest of the troops by soaking up some of the damage. Despite that, what happens is that 100% of the damage dealt by T9 bows ends up killing the enemy infantry while less than 100% of the damage dealt by T10 bows ends up killing enemy infantry. If the enemy has warrior infantry (e.g. T12), it makes T10 infantry even more ineffective since warriors have an increased defense against archers, according to the game. If I remember correctly, T9 and T10 bows deal the same amount of damage per unit. This makes T9 bows a better infantry killer than T10 bows.
@@KapriSzn Thanks... I would really like to see whether a 6 troop type "penetration defense" setup is effective. (idea for a future video?) Would be interesting if you let people hit your castle in UAC and compare your results between having and not having a penetration defense setup. I might be wrong about my theory, but it might also turn out to be very OP...
Great video 👍 can you tell me what's the benefit of having T10 inf or T9 bowmen please. Isn't better to save more capacity for T12 and T11? A march of T12 inf, cav, bow and T11 cav, bow vs a march similiar to that but with T10 inf or T9 bowmen. Which march is better and why is that? Thank you 🙏
Khoa Nguyen The benifit is to allow lower tier sh to join and spread damage in long combats. Besides your SH40’s run out of troops fast after Mega & Mega. As which formation you want to use is up to you and your team in whatever situation your in at that time. My Favorite Formation is 5 Troop Type Crit with the correct heroes it can do amazing damage.
In war, category, what is the most important/efficient between stats and formation? Brother I just watched your fist video then I like, subscribe and saved. From all my RU-vid stories, I do that less than 6 times.
Billy Cris I believe the most efficient thing is Top 3 Stats and then your Base Stats. My best formation is - 5 Troop Type Crit it’s very effective and easy to learn for new team and wants to start using Crit. & Thank u I appreciate it 🙏🏾
Nikos Bakalis Yes Solo hitting I used to increase my base stats by 120% so it works well for me. I also seen them used in mega during nether and outcome was decent’
orochikaiba Their is a Ratio calculator out their for crit marches I would have ask one of my friends what’s the link. Also you can Pick 6 tiers since you only have T11
I'm still learning the game here. How does crit march work? Does everybody have to send the same 5 or 6 troop types? Or as long as everybody only sends their own 5 or 6 types, will it still work? Example.. I send the 5 type troop march you mentioned, but someone else sends 5 types of t9 and t10. Will it still work?
Eric Carpenter in order for Crit Mega to Work Everyone has to send the same 6 or 6 types of troops. Example - T12 3 types ( Cav , Arc & Inf ) T11 Cav & Arc
@@KapriSzn so basically we can not mix the troops from different sh. In my alliance we have 1 sh42 and everybody else is sh39 and below. So if he sends t12 and we only have t11 the crit is mot gonna work
No , Once we win the Mega 9/10 we don’t have worry about the enemy reacting and mega us back. Our 5 Type Crit Formation Works wonders all you have to do after you Win the Mega. Is Resend another March to refill either the tower or Avalon u just took. Depending on how that mega went your enemy may not know about Crit Formations and not as organization as your team is. So your have the advantage
Good, I'm a noob loll, I love the game but I was doing so bad to wrong, I switched to beta version. I remember when begun with koa in 498, I attacked with archers and siege, just like they are more efficients in real life war.
Another GOOD video, apparently the information shared is not just for SUBSCRIBERS it's for KICKING ASS and I'm ready to with 40% !!! And you know what I'm talking about, lol
Alexander Meyer Try get with your members and go over a plan with how much of each troop U would need in order make March not instantly die but able to be used in a PvP situation.
@@KapriSzn it doesn't matter you can do base marc as 100k as example take 20k something 37k something and 43k something you can explain that way so we put it on our own marches,my march cap is 320k
gizo omadze Save the below setup to one of your march slots: SH40+ : 380K T12 inf 150K, Cav 45K, Bow 100K T11 Cav 30K, Bow 55K SH35+ : 150K T11 Cav 40K, Bow 80K T10 Inf 30K This is what your talking about ?
Himesh Gupta Yes as long as it’s 5 or 6 troop types it will still show up as “ Crit Hit Chance “ * Also say u have T11 and no T12 yet in your kingdom ? T11 Cav & Archer T10 3 Types T9 < - 6 Troop Type Crit.
If u can win with 500 plus stats u need to stop playing.. do a kvk with 6 45 and 25b power in stats. T9 arc vs t13😂😂😂 you have some of your fact stright but u have alot wrong
Zach Mahon It’s up to you to use information or not 😁obviously we haven’t faced that yet so feel free do video on T13 crit March or explain it here. My information is for Teams that don’t understand Crit and wanted to know something about it.
@@KapriSzn it's not the tier that's the problems its the stats. Critical hit is more of an advantage for closer together stats. If ur not with in 200% of the defense team critical hit is not as important. Critical hit with in 200% u can win. Anything over 250% dont matter the March type
You lied to me about DOW they weren't strong at all 😅...a set of salty cowards that was only toxic in chat and afraid to fight.....its only nether and troops dont die 😂
