Yeah I'd argue he's not one of the best because trained the hardest or has the best technique, but because he is very good at failing. Where other athletes would have broken something, Dom minimizes the damage and keeps going. So where other athletes get 4 year training in 5 years, Dom gets 5. If you get what I mean. Very inpressive.
That's the amazing part of his legendary technique that he never really actually falls , all of these are precised tomato certified moves no one else can pull off
Even if you fall, your ability to get out of it without injury is amazing, your movement IQ and awarenes of your body through whole movement, thats some X-man shit right there 👍🏻

Being elite requires you to take massive hits and keep going. Resilience, grit. All requirements to excel at any field. Dom can get up and keep going. Most people can't and thats the mental side. Talent is the other side- what lets you produce.
Even when he fails, he finds a way to keep on the movement or when he can't he makes some funny poses or when he can't he hurt himself.... But it's always impressive ! Thank you Dom and say "HIIII" to your mom' for us !

I used ‘vicarious pain’ here to mean that it felt like I was getting injured (very slightly) every time he did. Bails are really hard to watch! Dom I comment on ur videos all the time but i really hope that u see this one more than any others. I think you could be the key to the next big tech in parkour. The way you distribute your weight in your dive front pre's means that you (more than anyone ive seen) are really comfortable sliding out of the pre and over the wall, like at 8:08. Imagine if you trained that landing and could consistently do it smoothly, it would be like a super advanced new speed vault type tech. I reckon u should train it and call it a tomato pre or something haha. imagine how sick 8:08 would look if you cleaned up the landing a bit and make it look intentional, who knows what it could lead into.. dive front tomato pre into a slide down a sloped roof??? i honestly reckon its a new tech that would be sick to see in parkour and ur the best person to make it real.

As impressive as it looks (I wouldn't be able to do anything even remotely close to that for all my life), I don't want to be his joints when he hits 40. My friend, youth is the best time of our lives, and I understand he's pro level but I hope the adventurous do anything nature when we are young is worth the final 60 years of our lives.
The thing I love about this guy is that he never gave up consistency persistency discipline day in day out to master his craft. Nobody was born with a skill u have to work at it what ever it is.

Honestly, I wouldn't even clal these fails. They are just attempts. At worse, they are happy little accidents There are reasons why Dom is one of the best out there and this video is a prime exemple of that. Dom is just built different.

This is the secret to success. If you want to be the best, you have to fail more, harder, and worse than anybody else. Dom has more horrific fails than anybody else in parkour, and that's why he's the GOAT
