The intensity of the LOCK / SHOOT lights can be adjusted using the warning caution lights knob. These lights are disabled when low-intensity mode for night operations is selected.
Thaks for the video Longshot ¡¡ One question. How do you make the night vision cover all the screen? And also the image is crispy, not blurred like the stock ring NVGs im used to see.
So.i see that the full screen nvg thing is Tacca's mod. Tried on my end but is not looking as good as your vídeo. Could you be so kind to share your settings file from the common fólder of the mod? Thanks a lot for your help
@@thorluis226-15E Weapons person here. The strike Eagle can only carry 6 JDAMs ( 3 on each CFT, # not including the pylon stations ) due to how the bombs need to Interface with the aircraft. Putting a JDAM on the 46s just turns the JDAM into a dumb bomb. Honestly I don’t think we can load it because the umbilical may impact the fairings.

In this DCS World Simulator video I'm trying the new F15E Strike Eagle at night in a strike mission supported by 2 F16 Viper against 2 SU33 Flanker. Hope you guys enjoy! Very cool mission. Like how much detail you give on the controls and complexity pilots have to know to operate the jet. Fly the F15 again because how much payload it can carry.
Hello, really good video, i thing that after this I’m gonna buy the F15E as my first module. Btw I didn’t actually understand what the illusion was, can someone explain? Thanks
Illyushin refers to the manufacturer. An Il-76 is a transport aircraft moving supplies or troops. The air refuelling tanker variant is called the Il-78. Finally there’s the A-50 which was produced by Beriev instead of Ilyushin, and is the equivalent of our AWACS i.e the E-3 Sentry.
@@timmy3822 ooh I understand, I just didn’t understand the word Ilyushin, I just thought it was some sort of callsign. Thank you very much for clarifying that for me
@@bordo1080 Give it time. You're going to find that there are a great number of names, acronyms, and slang terms in combat flight. It's fun to learn them all. Just be careful, you may start using them outside of the sim and find yourself confusing the hell out of people around you. Just sayin. lol
just letting you know that ‘coolie right long’ is for NCTR or ‘non cooperating target recognition’ not iff its basically a tool used to identify aircraft type by how they look/behave on radar. and while its very fancy its not a proper iff. to iff i think its ‘coolie left long’ but i haven’t really played around yet to test it out
so when i enable night vision in the F-15E, it mimics the Hornet with a small FOV night vision goggle. How do i get the whole screen to be night vision? and BTW I'm aware that Night vision goggles in real life restrict your FOV significantly, i've used them.
This is a GREAT video. You should make this situation into a campaign like series, if you see what I mean. For the ballistic missile launcher mission you should use the Viper and go toss bomb them with cluster bombs
No sead ever, and we wont be seeing jdams, rockets, or a gbu 28 for atleast a year when heatblur finally finishes implementing some. The aircraft is too new and incomplete to be considered even remotely as a replacement for a viper. More a replacement for something like the f-14.
how do you use the night vision. i loaded night vision goggles on ground and pressed LSHIFT+N but it was very bright and only a small circle on my screen, not like yours, which is the whole screen
Longshot. I love the way your videos create tension and make us feel like we're really there with you, that there is real danger and importance to each mission. Great stuff. Thank you.
Everybody seems to be having fun with the STRIKE EAGLE mod & that would be great. Fly in, fuel & rearm & out again. Or a F-16 WILD WEASLE load out could be fun. Depending on your A-10 skills, that would be a unique night attack scenario to explore.
the missile range indicate is assume you put steering cue dot in center of dash circle , if you don't the POK will much lower , and the F-16 you also can use auto lase ,just set few more seconds if you want
You know Longshot, i often call you the flanking sneaky infrared mountain ghost- You're still a infrared hunter!/Still got the moves, - that NAVFLIR and targeting pod work is the coolest thing ever(yes i'm biased since i own real life thermal cameras because i'm a geek lol) Though i am guessing the Navflir can't be used like a IRST- Anyway, having recently gotten into DCS thanks to you and GS, this has me wanting to eventually try the Strike eagle lol- tho at the moment i'm still mastering the Hornet first, havent even gotten to the viper. Thank you for taking us along a cool, infrared, journey! That bomb coming into view on both screens was sick! Shame you couldn't also see it on the navflir, but you'd have to point down lol
Those Viper drivers should hand over their pay for the night. You did their job singlehandedly in addition to yours. As for going after the Iskanders, rearm the Strike Eagle with GBU-12s and go hunting.
A basic, perfect gameplay LS. How about a BVR dogfight against a MiG-29 until you merge with it? It might be interesting to compare the tech differences between these two jets. Good game!
Wish you did this one in the day time cause i love those very cinematic clips you make and since it's night time, it can't work that way. Anyways, love the video!
razzbams gonna have to fix those lights I find it hard to believe the airofrce would make their pilots stare into a bright light wile under nvgs while in a combat zone. but the video was still a classic longshot banger.
Nice mission, the flight model is pretty good, but the takeoff needs some work, it should be much easier to pitch to 10 degrees and hold it, but it really wants to snap, as can be seen in your takeoff.
I wonder, if this is sinai map, equipments and people in airfield are by default or not. If they are that is so nice because the main problem with other maps, when you create a mission you feel very alone in airfields, there is nothing and feels unnatural
