With all due respect, Moses was still just a man, maybe a man among men, he feared his speech wasn`t good enough, he had to have help holding his arms up during a great battle. He displayed anger, breaking the tablets after finding the Hebrews sinning against the Almighty! So you see he still had all his emotions intact and, that`s all were talking about.

If you're going to unravel the scriptures using a Bible written in the English language. Make sure you're unraveling the right version of the scriptures written in English and not some per-version.

In a book by John Lawsonfrom circa 1700's, when they came to the new world, the chiefs were 4 to 6 cubits compared to a normal man at 2 cubits tall. And there's the story of the giant in the ship that drank all the barrels of water and ate all the food on board. Then there were a mutiny. What really caused it? regular man is not 2 cubits tall. you must be thinking meters. A cubit is the length of a forearm, typically around 18 inches. 4 cubits is normal human size. so your quote there references chiefs being from 6ft to 9ft tall.

One may have noticed that the narrator does not use only the Bible as the source of information about the history of the Israelites but other sources of information like the Jewish scriptures etc. This is not strange as the Apostle were sometimes quoting from the book of Enoch which is not part of the Bible. It takes humility to appreciate the works done by others without asking for monetary contribution. Being a true follower of Christ requires a humble spirit and wisdom rather than being a critic or vindictive.

The Greek historian Plutarch wrote in his book, The Life of General Quintas Sartorius, that when they were at Tingier, (modern day Tangier) that the tomb of the venerated Phoenician giant named Antaeus was discovered. Perhaps the term Rephiam means the undead because they were hybrids of fallen angels and human women and did not have souls as other humans did. Not being rude, just a thought based on other things I've learned about the Nephilim.

I believe that the Nephilim and Rephaim are two distinct entities, and there is no reason to think you can infer information about one from the other. If they were identical, they would have shared the same name.

I almost feel like they were zombies as in not really alive but had only a semblance of life. There is a verse in Proverbs that uses the word Rephaim for the word "dead" in one translation. The verse is "There are dead things in the water". Talk about an enigmatic statement. I think that there may be portals to the underworld underwater because some divers claim to have seen unexplainable things underwater.

As for having souls, then why are they in the ether/air and not in Hell? Maybe because they don't have souls as they were never meant to exist and God didn't create them.

He is 1.5 times the height of Goliath. He makes Goliath look like a dwarf. If we shrink down Goliath's height to a standard 6 foot tall person, then Og would be 9 foot tall, the height of Robert Wadlow. It would be similar to Robert Wadlow side by side with his father who was 5 foot 11.

We don't know Og's height. the square cube law is going to work severely against him over 8/9 ft tall. Like the description of Goliath height in the dead sea scrolls and Septuagint as 4 cubits and a span 7/8 ft, Og was probably about the same.

According to Josephus, giants were to be measured using the Royal Egyptian cubit, which Is bigger than the normal cubit. So he (Moses) and the Exodus Israelites no doubt used the Egyptian royal cubit in their measurements..

@@sekani-M Yes that's correct. 6 royal cubits and a span brings Goliath to approx 10+ ft. This then brings the square cube law into effect. Unless there's some compelling argument that the square cube law wouldn't effect him. Then this height is going to have dire consequences for the big fellow. The other problem are the earlier translations in the Septuagint and dead sea scrolls that have him at 4 cubits and a span. This puts him under the problematic area's of the square cube law. This still makes him a very apposing proposition. Just think of André the giant [there's discrepancies in his height] 6ft9 to 7ft4. I think Andre was probably close to the maximum a human could get with his proportions before health issues come in and take effect. I think this is more practically the likely height of Gog.

Moses wasn’t scared of OG himself, he was scared that in the merit of OG Helping Avraham rescue his nephew Lot, many years before, G-D would help OG in the in the war against Israel. Og did not have good intentions when he helped Lot, but Hashem still gives reward to those who do good deeds. In the End Ogs merit ran out.

You should do a bit of research before acusing someone of having no idea. Having a doctrate in theology gives one more than an idea about what they are discussing where scripture is concerned. genesis says there were nephilim in the earth before and after the flood. how they got there after is another story, but it does say that. the flood also was not a global event. the bible does not have a word for "planet". the word "earth" in hebrew means soil or land you stand on. So God likely just flooded certain lands and not the whole planet which would be naturally impossible and not viable.

It's a fascinating story, about this Og of Bashan. I find it impossible really to reconcile the Biblical Og, 13 ft or so tall, with the huge Titan Og who survived the flood of Noah. They seem to be obviously two different characters. And the book of Jasher which agrees with Holy Scripture 100 % in general, has the huge mountainous giant Og finally killed by Moses himself, in a great battle with God's help. So it is quite confusing, difficult to reconcile the two accounts - was there a later Og, who descended from the first one? Idk.

What we have not understood or we do not see in the Scriptures is that when the Fallen Angels came on to the women, they bore only male progeny, which are referred to as the Giants. Where there no female Giants borne? A second issue regards the fertility of these Giants. The Scripture, as far as we know, does not say anything of the Giants mating among themselves or with the ordinary women, such as the Fallen Angels did. Could the cross breeding between the Fallen Angels and the ordinary women have led to reproductive problems for these Giants and that this was at the heart of their demise? We would like to see more light shed on these 2 questions; Giant women and reproductive capacity of the Giants.
