KING ORMONDE BACK ON DUTY with a LOT of tourists, but something is different at Horse Guards! 

G’day, John. Love your stroll past the famous red phone boxes, & Big Ben. What better way to start the week than Ormond holding court on a Monday morning.

Signs of age comment. I woke up at 11 am today, after a tiring day Sunday. The brain caught up an hour later after coffee, cereal and a banana. So don't worry about it you're not the only one. 😊

Getting home at 4am this morning wasn't the smartest idea. 😂

That's funny! I fell asleep on the sofa last night and woke up at exactly 4:00 am. Got up and went upstairs to bed for 3 more hours.😴

Hello I'm from Australia that's good to hear my niece is in the army and Anzac Thursday I always look forward to it to honour all soldiers and animals

Yes, I'm 70 this year and never miss the service each year. My family, past and present, are military too (not me though). There is nothing more uplifting, and also very sad, than being able to pay our respects to the fallen ones. I went to Te Papa museum in Wellington to see Peter Jackson's exhibition for Gallipoli but couldn't get past the first display. It was so real and I felt my heart breaking, I had to leave and wait for the family outside.I really hope the next generations honor these heroes 💔 love from a kiwi 😊

Mind you I am praying for Ormonde to get someone!! Xx

I think only the Brits love Ormonde because he's a nasty horse. He was removed because he went through retraining as did the guards regarding his being on duty. The reins are being held tighter so that he can cannot bite people. The fact that the Brits think it's great when he bites people is really disturbing. He probably has caused damage. Would you like your child bitten by this damn horse? I think if he gets out of line again, he will not come back to this job. Which would be fine with me because he's not suited for it. And so many of you, Brits don't even think about the fact that there are millions of people that have never been in the presence of a horse. And they don't speak English and they don't read English signs. And I know you're going to give me all kinds of excuses that they should get an app and blah blah blah. I seriously doubt any of you do that when you travel. This horse is frustrated and doesn't want to be there. And don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about because I've spent many years around horses. I think he'd be a good trail horse. Nobody hanging around, touching him wanting to have a picture taken with him, just get on the trail and go constant movement. Some horses just don't like crowds. Others love crowds and love people. When he was gone, I didn't miss him a darn bit.

Seems to have a real liking for the puffer style jackets...or anything he can really get His teeth into!?!

I am getting this video on Thursday. There was a herd of horses that went wild yesterday. Saw it on the news last night. I was hoping you got it.

Yepp, that's what i noticed, too, he would have LOVED to bite, he made a few attempts, but...the trooper (who is the same trooper last time Ormonde was on duty here) kept him on a very tight rein (just like last time)!😉😇😇

@@kathellison8084 Yep, most probably instructions from very high up. The last time i saw him biting was the Corporal of Horse...3 times🤭🤭. One was a pretty nasty (attempted) one.That must have been enough.

@@Roox8115 I remember him trying to bite the COH , who gave him a very stern glare and wagged his finger at him , Ormonde grudgingly dropped his head obviously recognising authority 😃. You've got to admit he's got character 😀

@@kathellison8084 Yesss, i was talking about that exact moment. I believe him dropping his head down was only as far as....dinner was concerned😄 Afterwards, it would be business as usual. He's definitely got a mind of his own, he's a character in his own league. There is no other horse in the entire regiment like him. The Elizabeth Cup contest was pretty much a defining moment for me as far as he was concerned. Unique and very strong personality. And very intelligent, should not be underestimated.🤓
