The trumpeter riding through the square looked so dignified. As for tourists laughing at the Guards, they should look in a mirror they could stand there all day and laugh at what stares back at them. ALL of these Guards are magnificent they are what the people staring and laughing will NEVER be.

I've been visiting various sites showing all the customs and pagentry with the King's Guards. Majestic horses; skilled riders. And I agree some deliberate troublemakers. However we don't all live in London; we don't all know the rules. The majority of visitors are foreigners and probably don't understand the very few signs that are on display. Instead of shouting at these human beings, why not provide adequate signage. Yelling is so unEnglish.

Are you serious? you know there is such thing as google right? people should do their research before visiting another country, as for the guards, they are military soldiers, they are not supposed to be nice when people are being disrespectful, entitled dummies on miliary barracks, and as the signs, there are translation apps

As a foreigner (American) in my opinion we have a duty to be my intentionally conservative and respectful regarding any possible laws, customs and traditions. See a rope line, line painted on the pavement, etc just assume it's there for a reason and don't cross it. Be aware of surroundings. If your unsure of something, it seems there are enough police to answer questions. Always treat the Guards, horses and properties with dignity and respect. I'm impressed a that England maintains their traditions, customs and history where so many other race to destroy their (including, sadly, my own country 😥).

Why should signs be put up in every language? It's blatantly obvious where they, the public, should stand. If it were up to me I'd stop the public from being anywhere near that close to the guards.

The tourists, understandably, just want to watch, but I have to go with the guards here. Perhaps they could rope the space off a little better and put signs up saying where to stand, etc. What these royal guards do should be seen by the public. But the public should be cognizant that those guards are not just for show---they are genuine guards and are armed and trained. People seem to try to become familiar with them. That is a mistake. Better some barking than some bullets! Without its monarchy, Britain would just be another western democracy.
