Welcome to Florida 🌴 I enjoyed your appreciation of one of our beautiful springs. The entire state boasts crystal clear springs like this. One of my favorites is Silver Springs state park in Ocala. Where I've seen gators, manitees, otters, monkeys and tons of birds and fish all in one day, lol. Hope you get to explore them all.
I’ve been to Weeki Wachee twice, and Wekiwa. So excited to go to Kings Landing in two weeks for my birthday! We are also bringing our inflatable kayaks 👍🏼
Great video! I’ve heard this Spring is normally very crowded and the park limits entrance to the first 200? 1) is that correct or am I mistaken? 2) what day of the week & what month was this video filmed? It doesn’t appear to be crowded at all!
Appreciate it man! Let me see if I can answer that 1) I am not sure if they have a limit but when I was there that they did it and tell me anything about that and I went there without a reservation. 2) I don’t remember which day it was but it was a weekday and it was filmed in March during spring break! Hope that helps!
@@ruthlessdrivingmachine Yes That is great to hear! I'm planning on taking my daughters there mid-week over Winter Break next week (unless it gets super-cold). I have to assume what I heard may only apply during the crazy busy (& hot) summer months? And I remember now I was specifically told you launch from Kelly Park, which obviously is a different launch point. So I'm very grateful to learn there's an alternative route!
As a florida native. If you see fish or turtes in the water you can bet there are gators. But they won't mess with you if you don't mess with them. Best to not be in the water by yourself away from others as that is when they know you are most vulnerable and neverrrr get in the water at dusk that is when the big ones go out to hunt. Snakes are not really a problem in the water that I've ever seen living in central fl
It varies at different parts of the river. At some part it’s up to my waist and at some other part it’s at my knees. I guess it’s 2-3 feet deep. Hope that helps!
