King's Quest 1 Walkthrough 

That beanstalk was such a pain in the ass to climb! I remember my sister and I had a hell of a time getting it to work. Thanks for the memories! I used to love this game! Save and restore was a must after every small thing!

This was my first ever video game. The graphics. The audio! Brilliant. Taught me how to spell too.

You have to use the ring, which makes you become invisible and wait for the giant to fall asleep to get the more points. The sling solution gives you a tinge less points if I'm not mistaken. Similar to using the knife instead of the bucket to get rid of the dragon.

I know it's unnecessary if you know the sequences necessary to complete the game, but type "look" at everything and everywhere. It adds so much more to the overall experience.

You don't have to do anything for the shield to protect you against the giant. The mere fact of possessing the shield makes the giant not to attack you. Just stay put and he will sleep in 30 seconds or so, Waiting for him to sleep renders you 5 points more than slinging him.

You don't have to "use" the shield. Just having it in your inventory will protect you from the giant, as well as the ogre, wolf, etc.

I’m 16 and I feel as though this is the era I should’ve been a teen in, I would’ve gotten into Cyber Security before it was officially even a thing, and honestly, I probably would’ve done AOL spam xD - definitely join a few warez groups and I would’ve gotten into real estate investing early on -> I’d be financially independent and quickly reaching my goal. It is what it is but I’m glad I still get to sort of “live” the experience -> plus idk why, like I didn’t get into AOL spam but it’s just nostalgic to me for some reason. Never played the game back then,,only spacequest... It is so illogical and weird...kamikaze-dwarfs! Yet very fun and entertaining! I guess that was the whole point of this sort of games back then...

how do i get past the witch if i dont have the godmothers spell

another tactic you can use is if you wait long enough the giant will just go to sleep and you can steal the chest from him
