Awesome video! What a great day, it was truly and honor getting to float the river with you! Thank you for the invite and providing me with so much important info I was missing about skein fishing, it was an awesome experience and one ill never forget!
Awesome video going on a guided trip tomorrow morning myself and i cant wait hopefully the weather wont affect the bite but yea i agree need clouds and rain
Another banger video! Went out last week and hammered them on thundersticks, wanted absolutely nothing to do with skein and the bite seemed to shut off by like 9am
@@sbsoutdooraction3055 that was my first attempt at salmon. Been steelhead fishing in waders my whole life… just tried this because my dad doesn’t get around so great anymore. Going to try some streams like you did in this video.
W video hope this helps me out fishing anf we just went fishing first time for this season and skunked. Im up here in WI. I was usung spawn sacks with bobbers, jerk baits and spinners got 1 bite but haven't got bobber downs. One reason i think they aint biting is because water might be too warm or early idk please help any tips lol
@@lowlifeaquarium1553 warm water really kills a bite quick. Start before first light with some bright cranks or spinners and float bait at first light. Make sure to know your river and know you’re on fish in your first hole. Thanks for watching!
In central to southern WI, you're still a week or two out from the fish pushing up the tributaries from the harbors. They have barely began staging in the harbors yet, water has been too warm. Even the salmon tournament boats have been getting skunked in southern WI, so you're not the only one. Just a much later run this year due to warm water temps and minimal west winds.
@@sbsoutdooraction3055 Yes, boating in is likely the answer. I made a fishing kayak out of ridged foam insulation a few years ago. Time to make another, I guess. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YsbMZeAE91o.html
Was supposed to go fishing the balcony river next weekend but gotta go to my in-laws now 😫. Some how u always get busy in the salmon run and hunting season lol.
Stop wiping skien all over yourself. Your waders will last longer. A simple towel wrapped over the belt will do. Get a pair of Dryfts and take care of them.
@@boblove6865 first pair was from a footing issue. Haven’t found the leak in this pair yet. Towel would be nice for sure. Been talking about doing it, just haven’t gotten around to it
@@sbsoutdooraction3055 hahhahaha we have all done the Kang Skien warrior look brother. I just can do it anymore. The smell never leaves! I have an entire drawer of old bath towels I cut up. I just got a raft and will be making Michigan trips next year. I’ll bring you a box!
