Hell yeah, I sure hope there's coho around like that next weekend. Heading up with the kayak to do a little trolling and jigging. Would be pumped if I get into even a few fish like that. Nice job man
What action is that? I’m a bass fisher and I got some bass rigs, I’m thinking about going out, gonna try to catch some here in the harbors on the kayak, got some reef runners I would troll with. But could I just use a bass swim jig or I need a jigging spoon?
What an awesome video!! I vacation here every year in early July. Would you have any suggestions for me on bank fishing ? I plan to go up in late September next year to try and get on some of these salmon!! Im from KS so this would be an adventure for sure!
Hi, Great video full of salmon fishing. I do a lot of small mouth bass fishing on Lake St. Clair on the south east side of the state. I am totally new to salmon fishing. Can I ask you a few questions? For this video are you fishing out in Lake Michigan or in the channel between Lake Michigan and the harbor or right in whatever small lake that is between the channel and the river that flows into it? We just have a small boat and from your video I think we can feel safe in water conditions similar to what you were fishing in. Thanks again and any information and advice will be greatly appreciated. Joe
God DANG! looks like a freakin blast! The instant smash after you foul hooked that minner was WILD! thats what we do it for tho! How deep are you jigging seemed like soon as hooked into em they wanted to come flyin out the water.
Adding to that question, where abouts in the water column do you usually see/hook them? Like 10ft over 15ft, 35ft over 40ft? I've tried pier casting quite a bit but never had success. Thanks for the videos, gets me by when I'm away from home!
You tube is the new thing. Lol we have been vertical jigging for salmon since 1979 in muskegon, manistee, Ludington. We use to go eveytime the lake flipped in August... good times! Great video!👍 With that being said, we use to really annoy the guys trolling, as we anchored over a pod of fish lol
If they are around it will work. I was throwing casting spoons off pier a couple weeks ago and a guy next to me was smashing them jigging p-lines off the pier
I went to Manistee. The first week of September 2 years ago. Fished from 5am to 10pm two days. Jigging a variety of about 10 different spoons and jigs with soft plastic and never got a bite or even seen anyone catch a single fish. I seen fish jumping. I could see fish all over my sonar, but couldn't get a bite. It was very frustrating.
Thought I found a new channel to track,I like you, and your fishin content. But sorry bud, just can't handle the nauseating background music, and seems like that's your style. Best of luck to ya!
@@56igadget And nobody asked you DH. The guy obviously is trying to build a channel. They want comments, and I just offered a little friendly info should he like to appeal to a wider base. There was no harshness between him and I, so why don't you MYOFB.
@1504badger you definitely are a liberal put your beliefs on everyone else. You want to save the resources limit the number of guide services these guys go out take 20 to 30 fish a day. One guy goes out with livescope catches five fish. Who is draining the resources? Losing my dollars plant these fish you should not be able to go out and make money on them
@@1504badgeryou definitely are a liberal pushing your beliefs on everyone else you want to save the resources limit the amount of guides. One guide can go out and bring back 20 to 30 fish a day and you worry about one guy with forward facing sonar. I don't like the idea of using my tax dollars to plant fish and somebody making a living off of them fish
