I never knew of this verse (Isaiah 45:7). I don't understand that if God is holy he has no evil in him. So how does he create it? Is this a mistranslation from original scripture? I always thought he just allows evil to happen because it may have a useful purpose (for example bringing people to repentance) but I never thought he was a creator of evil.
I really relate to the story of King Saul. As a person who suffers from major depressive disorder to a point where it has almost driven me to insanity where I had to be admitted to a mental asylum I am always asking myself how did I wrong God to be punished with such a tormenting ailment. No, the text specifically says that this evil spirit was PURPOSEFULLY sent by the LORD to torment Saul. God did not merely ALLOW it, He did it purposely and deliberately; God Almighty is sovereign over both the evil and the good. This is a very good way of explaining what I was thinking just last night. Looking at my present situation as someone who has repented and turned to Christ, the events that have happened in my life make more sense, especially some of the people I met and the kinds of relationship I had with each of them. They all have taught me something. This is what most Pentecostal and Protestant churches teach because it sounds soothing to the ears.... Read the book of St. James It's lovely that you want to spread the word... But to teach the word of god you need to study and understand it the way it was meant to be first. A pastor or 19th century preacher cannot help you there. In part I agree. I get what you mean when you say worthless. But God is very clear in His word what we are. We’re all sinners. We are beasts before Him. The only difference between one who is born again truly and one who is not is that the born again Christian is a converted beast. Repentance is the fruit of conversion. It’s starts in the heart. And the path to Armageddon has begun. The great past battle is for the high tower. The fortress. It’s Golgotha. The place of the skull. That’s where we have to die so that Jesus Christ may reign. The two witnesses are the spirit man and the carnal man. Spirit vs Flesh. Able vs Cain. God said in Genesis that He requires the blood of every man’s brother. Our two witnesses must wage war. The Jacob and Esau in each of us. Jacob He loved but Esau He hated. He loved our Spirit because that’s a pure perfect thing we all have. Yet we live in a body of unredeemed flesh. We know flesh and blood can not inherent the Kingdom. We must have a single eye. When the death of the two witnesses happens in us that’s a good thing. Two will be in the field. One will be taken up. One will be left. Our Spirit returns to God and our Flesh remains. Two will be grinding in the mill. Do you see it. Revelation 11:5 KJV says Fire proceedeth our of THEIR(plural)MOUTH(singular). How can two people have one mouth? This is only possible when the two witnesses are the same person. The two must become one. That’s Gods goal and desire for each one of us. That’s called the baptism of fire mentioned in Matthew 3 and Luke 3. The one baptism unto repentance for the remission of sins. That’s the fire. That’s Judg(e)ment. And Jesus Christ is Judg(e)ment. Jesus said I did not come to bring peace but a sWORD. To divide. To divide the two witnesses in us. There is no new Heaven and a new Earth until DEATH and HELL are cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is a good thing. The book of life and the LAMBS book of life are two separate books. Which do you want your name to be found in? God Bless. God didn't choose Saul samuel picked him .God knew he wouldn't succeed, Gods patents is his .but said samuel enough crying over Saul. I Tell you anoint I choose. David of juda. was it not. David loved Saul and honoured the King of Israel and Saul was in David's hand respectfully by David who would not disrespect the God of Israel his Lord the Lord .
Ummm, no, Samuel was a Prophet of the LORD; therefore because Samuel anointed Saul, it is proof positive that God chose Saul for that period, and that specific purpose. Read 1Samuel 9:15-17 God most certainly chose Saul.
This Saul is not the apostle who's name was changed to Paul (in the New Testament). This Saul is one of the kings of Israel written of in the Old Testament
In the Old Testament God ordained the Levites to be the only ones to be priests . Saul performed unauthorized sacrifices. Which angered God. So that is why God abandoned Saul.

I remember brethren in Christ, David's acts condemned his whole people, until he agreed with the father that it only was bestowed on his self! But why it was passed for his son to build the temple! All these people before Jesus except for able, our failures and their lessons of what we're not supposed to do! Once Jesus Christ came the only thing relevant in the old testament was the law! Which if you follow Jesus Christ to commandments you could hang all the law in the prophets on! The first commandment, love the father with all your heart, mind, and soul! The second is like the first, love your neighbor as you love yourself! First commandment, I am your lord God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage, you shall put no other gods before me! So if you still pray father, son, the first commandment is a no-brainer, you're following it! Do you want anyone to bear false witness on your name, do you want anyone to steal from you, do you want anyone to have sex with your wife, do you want your children to honor you, we could ask on and on what you don't want done to yourself! So if you follow jesus's commandments you do none of that to your neighbor, you honor your mother!you just followed the whole ten commandments without even having to be knowledgeable the law! Who's your neighbor? Everyone! It's not that! That's how you're exempt from the law! And then the most important thing,do you want to be forgiven by the father of heaven and Earth and his son Jesus Christ the lord? I know the answer would be yes! So be quick to forgive your! So you may be forgiven!
David had too much blood 🩸on his hands from killing that man just to take his wife from him. This is one of the reasons why God ordained Solomon to make The Second Temple.
Saul was first a malignant narcissistic sociopath. He never obeyed nor was he ever cut to the heart for his sin. Contrasted with David who, arguably sinned worse than Saul ever did, ordering the murder of the husband of his adulterous wife. The difference was that David was cut to the heart, when confronted,, and fell before the Lord in Godly sorrow and repentance. For this reason David was a man after God's own heart.
After Saul refused to follow orders from God the Prophet Samuel gave him, God basically removed his presence from him and an evil spirit came and tortured him
The text specifically says that this evil spirit was PURPOSEFULLY sent by the LORD to torment Saul. God did not merely ALLOW it, he did it purposely and deliberately; God Almighty is sovereign over both the evil and the good. God does not merely allow evil, He ordains and decrees evil in order to accomplish his purpose. There is NOTHING to "read into" this. God is sovereign.
