We took a ferry from IJmuiden to Newcastle. Our room was a bunk bed in a sea view cabin. There were two restaurants and several cafes and bistros on board. They also had entertainment like slot games, an arcade, a disco, and two cinemas. For children, there was a kids' room to play in.
Total cost: 329 euros
Cabin for two persons: 125 euros (normally 280 euros, but we found a discount on Google)
Two breakfasts and dinners
Route: IJmuiden to Newcastle
Ferry: King Seaways
Room: Sea view cabin, bunk beds

I thank you for sharing your trip to England! I hope you really enjoyed your very first visit to the north east where they are such a friendly bunch. I’ve always been made so welcome in Holland and enjoy every trip! I was in Amsterdam (where I enjoy riding on the trams) just before Christmas…and although it was very cold it was a wonderful trip. Please come again and explore more of this Island…you’re so welcome to come! Where I live in the south west…in the seaside town of Bournemouth…we usually have many Dutch visitors from April onwards. My wife and I are planning to return to the island in November for a concert and will combine it with some train journeys and a ferry ride back.
