Great job! I just got this on a Steam Sale and I've tried about 4-5 runs now and kept getting destroyed by the waves that come from attacking the portals. My latest run I got softlocked cuz I didn't realize clearing the forest made the camps disappear. I'm definitely going to try this strat out for one final attempt! Thanks for giving me the motivation for one more go at it.
@@pamplemoussefurtif8220 if your crown gets knocked behind the wall its safe from greedlings, and once you have no crown, you cant be hurt. this can be used for defence as breeders stop in front of you to try to attack you, and so they dont hit the walls.
Nice video! Thank you so much! After I lost five times after day 40 or so, I finally got it after day 15. Is there a version of this video where you explain why you do certain things? For example, is it really the best thing to not have farmers? Why are they in the game?
I don't have a video explaining my runs, but I can recommend videos from TecThor. This one, for example, is very similar to my run but with explanations: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EoSUB0D8CNE.html Here he explains even more about the game in general: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OblRh7dxzCw.html Farmers are excellent in the long run, but not so much in shorter runs. They require a big investment in coins at the beginning and aren't helpful in battles. Archers, however, can fight and also generate coins. If you plan on playing for a long time, farmers will generate more coins than archers.
I do this to get more villagers. After about 2 minutes a new person appears and picks up the coin. The coins also disappear after 2 minutes, so I only drop 1 coin. Sometimes they get attacked and don't reach the kingdom, but it's often worth it to leave a coin.
@@lumen811I understand the logic, but sometimes I see you have 1 or 2 newly recruited villagers coming from behind you (from a further camp), wouldn't they pick up the coins on their way back to the base?
Nothing was modded, i just pressed the down arrow key at the start of the game, that's all. There is a tutorial at the start of the game, which restricts you movement and explains some aspects of the game. You can skip this tutorial by pressing the down arrow or "S" key on your keyboard. If you wait a bit in the tutorial screen, the game will tell you that you can press down to skip it.
