RaiHussky would love going though SE worlds or only final fantasy worlds and no Disney worlds or maybe a few. Would love to see a more mature version of KH as a spin off game or something

Nomura said the next game is the first in the new saga and they have released a kh every 2 years and and final mix every year the longest wait was between titles was 2.5 years since the series began in 2001
You mean waiting 2 years til Kh3 final mix, then one more year for the new game and watch opus that explains a major plot point you will need to understand the 4 next games where they go through more disney universes without anything really important happening just to have all the plot revealed in the last 20 minutes between 2 fan service cutscenes ?
It probably won't be as long of a wait between II and III, or even DDD and III. Considering the sales records KH3 made, both companies have apparently started taking the franchise more seriously, so they will likely be putting more effort into development.

If they follow the trend of having a secret boss that’s related to the next game they’re developing (I.e Lingering Will in KH2 = Terra’s Armor in BBS) Dark Inferno (The dual blade wielding heartless from the final battle gate post-game in KH3) could be related to Yozora since he was shown to wield 2 weapons on Verum Rex video in Toy Box. Like maybe Dark Inferno is his heartless?? Cause the item you get for beating him in the game is called Crystal Regalia. It’s an almost obvious FF Versus 13/15 reference??

So for the people confused, the worlds sora and riku find themselves in here are different. Sora is in Shibuya, in the world of ‘The world ends with you’, the place where the characters he met in traverse town in dream drop distance are from. In this world, the dead are given a chance to come back to life by playing the reapers game. This is further confirmation that yes, sora did die at the end of KH3, as he sacrificed himself to bring kairi back, and never made it back to destiny islands as Mickey and young xehanort predicted. The image of sora that kairi saw was just symbolic of their connection, which is why she cried, knowing he was really gone. Riku on the other hand is in the world of Verum Rex, the video game from Toy Story’s world. Not really sure why or what that’s about, seems like Nomura is just desperate to throw what final fantasy 15 was originally intended to be in there somehow.
i thought both Sora and Riku were in the same place... don't really know how sendind riku to verum rex makes any sense at all. So sora dies... a great ending for the first part of the saga... Wouldn't it have been better to make an ending where everybody including Sora and Kairi were together and happy and then plan carefully the direction that the future games are going to take?

Neku (character from kh 3d) told Sora that he will see him in Sibuya.. so maybe Sora Will be there to complete the reapers' game and Riku helping him from another dimensión (I think that this is how you kill the noises) they must be killed from different dimensions at the same time... Idk if I understood it well when I read about It.

Consider: ∙ Prompto in FFXV talks about KH being "just a game" in their world ∙ Rex in KH3 talks about Verum Rex being "just a game" in their world Yozora is a nobody of Noctis/Riku/Sora since they all have died in their respective worlds and now share the same dreams.. Sora has now become the "antagonist" in Yozora's world because Sora can time travel ever since he defied fate (much like Ansem did in KH1 Destiny Islands)

Ikr! After that ending theres no way I can leave. I wish kh3 concluded the entire series with all of the franchise's secrets being revealed. Now we have to stay on this stupid ride for another decade. We're probably going to have to explain to our grandkids the story of kingdom hearts, because Kingdom hearts 3.8 just came out.

Uh where were you at when Noruma said that KH would still continue after KH3? This has been common knowledge for a long time lmao. It's just Xehanorts story that's wrapped up, but there are still plenty of things left over, which I'm happy about, because this franchise is amazing

Noctis, in the original plan, was supposed to be able to speak to the dead through the dream world but that ability got scrapped just like everything else in 15. Maybe Nomura made it one of Yozora's abilities, where Riku searching for Sora in Verum Rex fits in.
Skylion Insomnia is the hometown of Noctis and the two towers resemble Insomnia a lot. Insomnia means nightmare and the theme song of Final Fantasy XIII Versus was always "Somnus" which means sleep. So if Noctis Caelum, which is in Japanese Yozora was able to get in contact with dead people by sleep. This would be a birth by sleep which would initially just be a type of a story of Dream Drop Distance maybe a second version. Maybe he never found Kairi and she is dead and Sora is in the realm of sleeps and dreams again just to get in contact with her and there he meets Yozora / Noctis and the Master of Masters. Maybe Riku might just follow him again to his dream.
OK. Sora's in TWEWY WORLD Riku is in VERUM REX WORLD (the video game advertised in Toy Story world) Yozora is watching Riku from afar. The Master is probably behind all of this.
4 at the most since 2 came out 4 years after 1. Then it took 13 years and 7 days for 3 to release (13 Darkness and 7 lights). Worst case scenario, it will take 7 years and 13 days for 4 to drop (Given that Eraqus and Xehanort were playing a new game but this time it will be reversed to 7 darkness and 13 lights). But hey its just a theory.
Theory might be true, since Kingdom Hearts 3 was built using Unreal Engine 4, which is released in September 2014 by Epic. And if I may recall the first trailer / announcement for KH3 is in 2013, which is a year before UE4's release. If it'll take 7 years (2026 (IF possibly)), that might make more sense since the secret trailer reveals Sora in TWEWY and Riku in Verum Rex, both worlds are in futuristic eras (Since two and a half decades after 20th century is basically a so-called "future era"). (I hope the revenge value will return in future games though)
Who knows, it might only take 3-4 years. Game devs had tons of trouble dealing with the PS3, but if KH4 is released using Unreal, and if the PS4 platform remains for the next 5 years(probably not) I really don't see much of a reason why it would take more than 5 years to realease KH4, or at least some cool DLC's leading up to its release.

I get the feeling that Verum Rex is an actual world, which was coincidentally premiered in the toy story world as a game, much like Sora was originally a game character in toy story world

Thoughts: Yozora has a blue eye and red eye. Sora is in a red hued world and Riku is in a blue hued world. Maybe its similar to DDD where they're on 2 different plains and Yozora and be in both spaces at once.
it's possible considering that they're both in "Japan" in this scene, and Sora wakes up in the Scramble Crossing the way Neku does in The World Ends With You. he even sees the 104 building from that game. In TWEWY, those taking part in the Reapers Game fight creatures called Noise, on two separate battle areas. Frequencies i think they were called. so it's very possible that Sora and Riku will be tethered together somehow, but fighting on two separate existential phase spaces.
Well Yozora is based on Noctis but looks like Riku. Riku has blue eyes and Noctis has at the end of FFXV red/purple eyes. Maybe Yozora is after all only the KH version of Noctis. Sora is in „The World Ends With You“ where Neku comes from. Riku is in Insomnia from FFXV. Those two towers are the same as in FFXV. But after all I’m looking forward to this game

@@delzhin To answer your question, The World Ends With You takes place in Shibuya. The 109 building was changed to 104 in the game. Sora is standing in the exact spot Neku does when he wakes up in the beginning of the TWEWY. Neku DID say "See you in Shibuya" in Dream Drop Distance after all!

Anyone notice some symbolism here? At the beginning of the movie, sora is shown surrounded by a red light, or at least some kind of red “glow.” We switch to riku, who is shown surrounded by bluish light. Sora looks towards a blue light and riku looks upward, with the camera very deliberately focusing on a red traffic light. They both appear to be confused, almost in a panic. Toward the end, we see a mix of both colors as we see the “twin” style building yozora sits upon as both sora and riku are both looking at it, seemingly more calm. We then, of course see yozora and his red and blue eye very clearly as we hear a snippet of Somnus playing. The music slowly fades to a familiar kingdom hearts melody as we see the man in the black cloak seemingly ponder the existence (or maybe relevance?) of kingdom hearts in this reality.
You know....after beating KH3...does anyone else realize there *were NO* Square Enix characters? There was no Cloud, Leon, Yuffie, Aerith, etc. No Final Fantasy characters. Well unless you count the Cactuar in Toy Story, but that's more of a reference than a character interacting with the story line. I feel like after KH3, they might be more focus on the Square Enix universe for Sora and Riku to go. But that's my opinion. Who knows what direction Kingdom Hearts is going to next....

The only time we saw a FF character was a statue of Cloud in the opening cut scene for Olympus lol. After I saw that I was hoping to see other FF characters 😢
Constellations were all ff references too. And toy story world had a ton of ff references too in the store. I mean yeah we didnt get ff character interaction but I have a feeling they are saving it for the next game.

Spore489 Maybe I’m just a 90’s rpg square fan speaking but “reconnect” could also mean bringing all the past titles square still have rights to “Chrono Trigger/Cross,etc.”,and going into their world to help resolve their problems in turn with saving kairi. It’s a long shot but I’m still hopeful. It’ll take another 10 or 18 years though.
Odds are Nomura may want to create a title that is entitled "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts" and he has been keeping that around to make sure to remind himself maybe, it's a guess at best.
@@MagicBugzii Yeah, but the missions he did issue required Neku to have memorized the square root of 5 (and three, though that wasn't relevant) and the periodic symbol for gold, and for Joshua to have an internal map of Shibuya with all the routes labelled just on call whenever. All Sho needs to do is ask Sora to " x = 30+74 t = 60 incompletes will be erased" and his partner's going to have to do all the work.
If you watch the epilogue there are now 7 darknesses instead of 13. Versus 13 features a dark theme characters. I'm pretty sure this is what Nomura is planning for the next arc, a different side.
@@gheebus I actually think that as well. I think the next arc will be more confusing like young xehanort use of time travel. Since the tables have turned, it is possible the next arc will feature a parallel dimension. Yozora is opposite of Sora so there will be 7 enemies now instead of 13. I dunno but I am excited for its trailer for the next game.
that is not Riku , it's Yozora , even Sora joked that Yozora's appearance is too similar to Riku (an inside joke , since KH3 Riku design is based on Noctis and Yozora is a strongly KH ver. of Noctis).
@@phantasosxgames8488did you even watch the ending? Riku is near a building that looks like Shinjuku (Correct my spelling if I'm wrong). At 1:15 Sora is in Shibuya Crossing, and likely the TWEWY version based off of the 104 sign. Because both are in the MoM pan at the end, and the Shinjuku looking building has simmilar red things on it, they are likely in the same world.
In this one i got the feeling that all the disney worlds except maybe hercules were obligatory Like you finish san fran/the carribean and it goes 'alright, plot time'
They might. Part of the long wait for kh3 and other titles is because Of partnering up with Disney and working out legalities. Where if it’s square property, Nomura doesn’t have to jump through hoops to get Pixar shit, and he can truly make his vision come to life
As much as I want a Final Fantasy base-world I doubt it, Disney base-world gave more money and free hype than FF world, but let see if this time Nomura can break from the corporate grip and finally give us a Final Fantasy or any Square game base world
@Lekzie69 True the Disney game doesn't sell more than Square Game, however Disney IP(Snow White, Frozen Toy Story ETC) sell more than any Square game, that's what I mean by Disney base world give more money and free hype. Hell I even meet a group of "fan" on twitter that say they more hype on the Disney stuff than the KH stuff... SMH I really want to believe that Kingdom Hearts can stand on it's own without the Disney brand, however when you see the conversation on what they want for KH3 and most of the trailer/promotion Squre does when promoting KH3 they focus more on the Disney stuff rather than KH stuff. Hopefully it will change considering now people talk more about Sora and the rest rather than the Disney world
@@Analogmanns KH was carried by FF more than Disney; Disney had so little faith in KH originally that they weren't allowed to use Mickey for more than 20 seconds. More people care about Cloud/Sephiroth, or even Tidus, than they do about any individual Disney character. The only reason Nomura's not using FF characters is because he's salty that he got kicked off the FFXV team.

What they don’t show you is that after the scene ends, Sora and Riku are staring at each other in a black void, only to be interrupted by a massive light, they turn to see it, and then the light is intersected by two lines. SORA AND RIKU JOIN THE BATTLE!
What a lame way to announce Sora 4 Smash tbh. Feels like copying the Inklings reveal which announced Smash in the first place. I dont think they will do that if they bring em to Smash at all.

I just realised something... if sora is in TWEWY’s shibuya, he really is dead. Remember how they featured in DDD, now remember how in TWEWY, the characters are all DEAD and brought to an alternate plane of existence (Shibuya) where they must fight to return back to life or ascend to a higher existence. Also Riku must be looking for him in shibuya as well but as Riku is alive, they’re once again in a DDD scenario where they’re in two alternate versions of the same world, as TWEWY puts it, the underground and real ground respectively. Also in the real ground version of shibuya, yozora must be a real character. The master of masters must’ve planned this for sora all along, hence why in the intro of KH3 sora is seen holding a xehanort (goat head) piece, which ties back to MOM theoretically.
Meghan Taylor verum Rex world scene is apparently set in shibuya, as it is seemingly based off FF versus Xiii which had a city based on shibuya. It’s just a loop of nomura’s ideas.

Okay I am mind blown because at 01:29, the genius Yoko Shimomura combines the themes of FFXV Somnus (here the piano at the beginning??), with KH themes because this kind of world/story was what originally was planned for FFXV.... and it's like it is re-imagined here. And Yozora is like a re-imagined Noctis so it all comes together. I cannot wait to see where this story is going to go!
Square Enix's game *The World Ends with You* got it's SECOND remaster on the Nintendo Switch recently... and that game's main character/Neku was in the 3DS Kingdom Hearts. Neku was not forgotten. Cloud was a crossover for Kingdom Hearts, but now Sora seems to be the crossover for The World Ends With You. This should be interesting. I BET.... 2024
Yoko Shimomura spent a huge amount of time on Versus 13 too, she's probably as pissed at SE as Nomura is for not respecting the artistic integrity of the project. Can you imagine spending years writing music and scenes for a passion project just to have it changed by someone who doesn't understand it?

It would make a lot of sense if it was the Shibuya from TWEWY. When you die in that world, you have to play the reaper's game to be brought back to life. So Sora's probably about to have a really bad time.
He doesn't have a timer on his hand though. Also why would Riku and Yozora both be in a version of Tokyo? I'm fairly certain they are in the same world, based off of MoM/Luxu/ Black Coat, whoever he is's scene.
If I remember correctly, the timer does not start until you find a teammate. I could be wrong though, its been a few months. I think Riku may be somewhere completely different regardless of if its also a version of Tokyo.
@@55GamePlayer 1. The timer shows up even if you don't have a partner, many get erased at the beginning of the week because they don't get partners fast enough. 2. If you look at 1:54 and 1:56, you see the MoM looking over with the what looks like both the 104 building and the building Riku was near in frame.

We know the Master of Masters can create data worlds/simulations from the book of prophecies and place them in an unchained realm, a place similar to the realm of sleep/darkness where time doesn't exist and it's outside the world of Kingdom Hearts. My theory is the Master made the world of Verum Rex real as either a trap/safe place for Sora now that he's been banished from the realm of light for overusing the power of waking. A little similar to how Maleficent was trapped in a data version of Enchanted Dominion in the KHUX mobile game.
It seems more to me like Sora is stuck in TWEWY Shibuya (we see Scramble Crossing and a clear 104; Neku tells Sora he'll see him again next in Shibuya back in KH3D; if Sora is in Shibuya he may very well be dead, as per TWEWY and given that when we see Kairi/Sora together at the end, Sora fades away) with Riku being in Verum Rex's version of Insomnia. This could be the setup for KH4 using these two major crossovers with other Square franchises. In any case, I'm so looking forward so what this secret ending leads to

Honestly, if this “Verum Rex” idea is him being petty, he has no right. He was primarily the reason for Versus XIII’s numerous delays. I think Tabata and team did a bang-up job salvaging what they could from the dumpster fire Nomura left them. XV wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I would hardly put the blame for that squarely on Tabata’s shoulders.
@@johfreeman2636 I doubt Noumura has a grudge towards tabata. Noumura was pulled from the project by the higher ups and the higher ups had tabata available so they put them in the ffxv development. And given that tabata only had 2 - 3 years to make ffxv, and that with a not so optimized engine. Im really sad for both, because both poured their heart into the game. And both had horrible circumstances to deal with. I really hope tabata and noumura will not let that happen again.
