Their studio is already working on a ton of stuff, especially with Nomura still being involved in FF7R Projects as well. This announcement was JUST last year... which MAY SEEM like a long time, but it's not a long time in game dev. The only update you would get at this point is "we are still working on it". Be patient, my dude.
Follow the development team people. KH is under Creative Business Unit 1. Which is knee deep with the FF7 Remake Trilogy right now. And that is their 1st priority. Rebirth should be in its polishing phase right now. Then once FF7 part 3 nears the midpoint of development. Then and only then will KH4 development REALLY ramp up. As more and more team members finish their assignments on FF7, freeing them to devote far more time to KH4 than they currently are.
@@codewizard0no that’s a good idea. Hype is being created. By the time it’s near release, the hype will be at a fever pitch. This has happened since the 70’s😊
Forgive my hot take but ReMind felt as crucial to KH canon as ReCoded.@@selassieaspen9940 That being said, I am among those who were glad to see the return of Data battles and super bosses albeit frustrated that it cost extra money. I'll pay a 20 for them all before I spend 5 on each any day though.
@@platform4857The story is sub-optimal, but the gameplay, especially in the DLC, was actually pretty good. I mean Yosora is (on crit), imo, harder than every dark souls boss with maybe the exeption of Nameless king or Midir.
They announced KH4 too early, cause 500 days with no news is wild. We’re not asking them to rush or release the game early, just keep us posted. Even if they’re taking their time during development, that doesn’t mean they can’t give us updates along the way.
@@gamingdemon1235that’s because they announced KH3 7 years before it’s release date. That’s nearly a decade of updates and news building up to where we’d eventually know everything about the KH3 anyway. If they would’ve waited to announce it closer to the release date, they wouldn’t have had that problem.
@@gamingdemon1235well the point of the video as well as my comment is that they should keep fans in the loop instead of going almost 2 years with no news following the announcement. We should’ve gotten a release date by now, which wouldn’t spoil the game at all.
We complain when it’s no news. We complain when we get too many trailers. Just let the game developers do their jobs in peace and enjoy the trailers and final project when it’s available
@@GeorgisTryingyou didn't wait 13 years for kh3 radio silent? Og fans know that feeling alredy, we got the date of kh3 announcement after 7 years of waiting after kh2, you think this is radiot silent? Be glad there is a trailer
@@stardust8485"Just be glad you have X" isn't an excuse for legitimate criticism and how people want SOME updates. Just because they did this in the past doesn't make this okay. That's like saying "I know this guy tortures people and is torturing you but be glad because he usually kills people" or "be glad you're poor because you could be a child in Africa". All they have to do is just inform people on what's going on, not rush the game. What if with you SquareEnix apologists?
@@return7898fking thank you, I can't believe people are legit gatekeeping the concept of patience now, like waiting for more than a decade is some kind of twisted right of passage.
Let SE cook I realize you're craving any information, but the more fluid SE can be in development then the less information they can pin down years ahead of release. I wouldn't mind waiting another year to hear/see anything besides interviews. I don't think the kh4 trailer came *too* soon because it was nice to get an early heads up that the series was going in this artistic and thematic direction, but they probably regret it now that fans like this are screaming for more news when they're not even halfway through development. AAA trailers are often made with mock up gameplay that eats up studio development time to create when it'll generally be scrapped (either remade entirely, or not part of the final release), so any time spent satisfying thirsty trailer fans is ultimately destructive to the final product. Imagine if they teased a world before ultimately deciding it's not going to work out or implementing it poorly etc. Better to not have teased it and hyped up a fandom in the long run. The less they show the better.
Nope I completely agree. It's not overreaction as a person with the series for 10 ish years. They'll release mobile games with parts of the lore in there, and then that'll be their main focus until a Nintendo switch game, then MAYBE we'll hear anything about development starting
It’s okay, they’re doing their jobs. We have plenty of games we can play and focus on in the meantime. Patience is a virtue, good things come to those who wait. And it’s only going to feel like it’s taking longer the more you focus on it
If you love the game, then you will wait for it. You don't demand the baker to cook the cake faster, or constantly inform you how it is coming along. Just let them cook
this is exactly how I feel, despite them also wanting more "news" however, the most important part to me at least is the fact that we know that kh4 is in production. Thats all we rlly need to know, that its at least being made, theres no reason to rush more news. Im fine with it being radio silent until release, honestly its not that big of an issue that others make it out to be.
right? i want a perfect finished product, not something thats been rushed. nor do i want the developers to stop and tell me how things are going all the time and lose their momentum and maybe miss something important. OG KH fans know the wait between games. this is nothing. if we get KH4 within the next 5 years, i'd be fucking ecstatic!
Missed the opportunity to say: "It's been 358/2 Days since the announcement of KH4" instead. 😮💨 Also, waiting 500 days for a Kingdom Hearts game is nothing in comparison. I've waited for KH3 ever since I was 11-years-old, and the game came out when I was 25. 😅
I don’t think it’s fans need to practice patience, I think Square Enix just needs to stop announcing games seven plus years before it’s ready for release.
Though it feels weird, I actually think the lack of information since the announcement is a good thing. For several years everyone was absolutely feral for KH3 to come out. There were years of trailers, updates, and the remix releases continuously building hype to the point that the end product couldn't live up to what that marketing campaign promised fully. I think with KH4 they are being more cautious with the marketing to prevent the influx of hype that happened with KH3. They may have decided not to release anything until the game is near completion. Nomura is starting a new saga mixing in elements of the Versus 13 game he never got to release. On some level, KH4 is a game that could make or break the series depending on both the actual game itself and how it's marketed beforehand. No one has forgotten KH4. We're all curious about it and want an update, but the less we know...the better I think. I say that, but watch a trailer randomly drop next week or something and then we'll all be frothing at the mouth again because we all remember that exciting time before KH3 was released. For some, the journey to KH3 was better than the game itself and it'd be a kick of some much needed nostalgia to see people freak out over a new KH4 trailer, but I don't mind not knowing much personally. Going into a game completely unaware of what you're getting into is usually more fun anyway. :)
Everyone is forgetting that Tetsuya Nomurasaid said something big was happening behind the scenes while he was on the stage. Even one of the other ceo type person didn't know about it and Tetsuya was going to tell her after the show.
One of the reasons I love ADHD. I’ll forget about it if there’s no news then be EXTRA excited when more info comes out cause I remember it and that feels good but then you get good news at the same time which is even better!!!
I hope everyone still alive have a chance to play this I bet when kh3 came out pretty sure so many were disappointed at a hospital bed never getting a chance to play kh3 😢
Bro, i waited how long for KH3, just chill and relax. Itll be by us soon enough. Just honor it for all the fallen gamers that couldnt make it here after experiencing the original games back in the early 2000s.
Waiting six years for KH 3 makes the wait for KH 4 much much easier, especially since waiting for the game was more fun for the community than actually having it.
Super hyped for this. With all the delays, revamps, changes, and nomura’s focus on a different game, there was absolutely no way for kh3 to end up as its original vision. But everything we’ve seen so far points towards this being Nomura’s “vengeance” for versus 13 and I’m looking forward to it.
I genuinely forgot there was even a teaser for it in 3. I'll be hyped when it finally comes around until then it'll probably evade my everyday thinking lmao
What about that music rhythm game? And didn’t they just drop images about that mobile game that takes place in Sanctum Santorum or whatever it’s called?
Well this should be quicker. One of the reason 3 took so long is because they did a complete overhaul of Kingdom Hearts graphics, animations and much more with their engine. Now that they laid out all the groundwork they can start having easier stepping stones for 4. In theory
I dunno how I feel about kingdom hearts 4. This short showed me how weird it truly is to go from magic and castles to modern era cities with cars....then it becomes attack on titan. It didnt feel like a kingdom hearts game to me. The kingdom key now has a grapple hook? It never had that ability before. Feels like an attack on titan fanfiction with kingdom hearts.
I love Kingdom Hearts too but I'm fully capable of focusing on other franchises. It's not Square's responsibility to keep you distracted with re-releases and spinoffs while KH4 is being developed. Istg y'all can be so entitled sometimes
Most ppl are forgetting that they did this after literally saying they learned their lesson about announcing games too early, and yet here they are repeating the same mistakes if not worse
I can handle a wait. I just tend to be less hype when it's radio silence. Like damn, at least a tweet or a screenshot. Or heck just a "we are still alive" announcement.
500 days with no news is alright. I remember when the ps3 was launching, all of my friends were talking about what if kh3 came out for ps3, come to find out they'd have to wait close to another decade. Kh4 will come out. When square is ready they'll talk about it.
To those who are saying "Just be patient"...We waited almost an entire DECADE for KH3, and what did we get? A disappointing, unfulfulling mess of a slog that dragged on for far too long with way too much filler. One that had to be "fixed" by DLC of all things. (It also has the entirety of Arendelle, but that's a personal gripe) The amount of delays were unnecessary, with deadlines that were ridiculous. If you aren't even halfway done with a game, DONT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
They’ve got other things to focus on but they wanted people to know they really were working on kh4, having multiple years to develop a game can be incredibly beneficial if they only have one other big project they’re focused on
I’m gonna be honest, I miss when studios/companies would announce a game and then wait till it’s a couple months from release to tell everyone when to buy it. I don’t want to be updated, either it comes out or it doesn’t.
I played Kh2 on release in 2006, when kh 2 came out in 2019 that was 13 years later, at the time that was half my life i was 13 when kh2 came out and 26 when 3 came out. 500 days is nothing. If kh4 is out before im 50 ill consider it a win.
