I just realized Axel's catchphrase only makes sense in this game. Let's face it the whole point is Sora is losing his memory so naturally Axel is trying to test Sora's memory. I always wondered why lately it seems forced but that's why. This game is the only time it makes sense. It kinda makes sense with anything Roxas because he's got memory issues but the games just kinda spam it every moment he's on screen.

Chain of Memories is honestly one of my favorite kingdom hearts games.

4:11 - AHAHAHA - the original on GBA was actually my first KH game, so all the confusion on the part of SDG was totally natural to me. I had no idea what 'castle' they were talking about, since all I knew of KH was the worlds I'd seen so far in THIS game! I got /really/ good with the card-game mechanics, so much so that my next KH game (which was 358/2 Days, since I never owned a console till KH3 arrived, trufax) was really difficult to adapt to... Oh, wait, I played Re:coded before Days. Ahahah, it makes about as much sense as playing it in order!

This was actually my first KH game and it was the game boy version. I hold a lot of fond memories from it (Pun semi-intended) but my L button was busted so I couldn't use commands but because of it, it helped show me what the gameplay waa like and after I beat it I thought all other KH titles were gonna be like that but after I learned that it wasn't and it was the only one that had this it sorta bummed me out but it just made me love CoM even more.

Larxene is top bulli waifu. Also when Sonic Blade stopped working I just started spamming Firaga and that worked way too well for way too long.

I feel the whole card battle system was more justifiable for the original game, not the remake that makes it look like KH1. Maybe I'm in the minority but I liked how it looked on the GBA. Though to be fair I am the type who doesn't like remakes. I watched a let's play of the game by Nicob. He didn't like the game play as he kept dying, like to Axel, but that was because he kept forgetting some of the mechanics and tried forcing wins with bad card decks.

Back in the original Chain of Memories, it was a whole lot harder, but I got good at it eventually, Vexen really was a spike in the games difficulty, and the fight before the final boss was WAAAY harder than the actual final battle

I absolutely LOVE this game, the story, the gameplay, everything, especially the GBA original. As you said, it is totally one of a kind. For me, this is one of those games I can just pick back up and play over and over

Would i want more KH games like this? No. But not cause i dislike it. I don't want any others like this cause this game is just that special. There's SO MANY COMBOS you can try out, and lots of them are at least viable. Screw Sonic Blade, Lethal Frame is the real cheese.

Tbh, this game is so easy that you don't need the Sonic Blade cheese.... When you learn how to spam out higher numbers and just toss out a 0 when a boss uses their special moves, you pretty much break the game. This is actually the EASIEST KH game to not take any damage in.

Someone's probably already said this, but this game is so weird because the PS2 version is a remake of the GBA version to start with, just 3D.

Blue Eyes White Dragon and Buff Riku were sorely missing in Chain Of Memories and the final world of Re:Coded.

The boss fight against Vexen was so hard , I lost more than 20 times until I realized that I could stop his combo attack with the attack card value 0 and spam him with sonic blade and raid. And the final boss Marluxia was also easy to beat bc I only had to have a lot of Attack value 0 cards. It was tedious but easy to beat. Okay, not that easy depends if you know how to set up your deck. So remember, always use Sonic blade and Raid and zeroes.

The problem that raikus side story is important to the end of 365/2 will never not irritate me

RaZeas: who would ship Riku and Namine together instead of Roxas and Namine? Me and everyone else who played KH358/2 Days: Xion exists and has spent more time with Roxas than Namine, plus *REPLIKU* cares more about Namine than Roxas Does.

That was a neat insight with some amazing humor! 😂😂 I personally prefer Reverse/Rebirth over the regular story, because I'm not a fan of RNG, but to each their own lol
