It was actually fun for me to go through it again and pick up on all the things I missed. Like how Hagakure thinks he hears construction sounds, when it was actually the sounds of the people trying to break into Hope's peak to save them.

Its games like this and Ace Attorney that I wish I could just wipe my memory clean from the time I played those games so that I could experience fresh all over again.

Here's the solution to the replay problem. Just play the game with a friend who hasn't seen it yet. I just did that and it's actually fun to see your friend's reactions and hear their thoughts on who they think the killers are and how the murders were done. My friend actually guessed Junko to be the mastermind right at the beginning because her hair clips look like monokuma (ofc he was only joking around) and I was laughing on the inside.

These are characters that would fit well in an anime. People who watched the anime: "Are you sure about that?"

You kinda got mixed up with DR2's Ending RamZaes. - Jabberwock Island is a real place, the version they were on was just a virtual world based on it. - All the Survivors got out of the program, they just agreed to stay on the Island. - The bodies weren't on that boat, they were inside that Future Foundation base that was said to be on the real Jabberwock Island's Central Island. - Hajime just managed to remain as himself when he left via a miracle (or whatever Chiaki did to give him hope powers at the end).

Weird thing about the series involving the talent's translation is that they're called the " Super high-school level " talents, not actually " Ultimate ". This is a massive difference in meaning, as in reality they're only the best a their talent to a high-school level, only excelling among their peers of fellow students. They're not actually " Ultimate ". Like for example, Aoi Asahina would never be able to beat Michael Phelps at swimming, because her talent is only at a high-school level.

I remember when my buddy tried getting me in this franchise before I liked anime. I was like 'This is some weeb shit... but ok.' THEN I HEARD THE MUSIC. OHHHHH. I HEARD THE MUSIC.

They decided to return without the virtual world memories, that's why Hajime was watching the boat leave at the end.

I literally just finished playing the original danganronpa yesterday, I swear some youtubers are physic man.

Spoilers: It's explained in D1 that Junko had connections to terrorists through her sister and D3 goes into how she brainwashed the reserve class and then the ultimates and then presumably the broadcasts of the killing game were laced with the brainwashing too. It's actually the best part of her villainy imo. She makes us believe that humanity was already on the brink of this despair and that we must want it if we fell to it so easily but in reality, she forced people to want it and used terrorism and brainwashing to destroy the world. Obviously Hopes Peak and the power it had created this opening for her to do all this and their actions directly enabled her to do this. When her plan is mixed in with what we know of the world and Hopes Peak from the anime and other games, it's actually a relatively realistic story of elitist corruption having a catastrophic effect on society. And for D2, Ram, you really got the ending wrong. The final students get out safely thanks to Hajime changing the coding from the inside after awakening to his true nature. In the final bit he says he's staying on the island (where their bodies are, the ship was used to bring them to the island initially) to see if they can sort out the others who are in comas. In D3 we see that they succeeded in helping the rest of the students which is good because of what we learn of how they were turned from D3's Despair Arc. Didn't want to make a long 'call you out' comment because I enjoyed the video but the endings and stories are significantly less 'i dunno... Anime I guess' than represented in the video jaja.

"Detective", he says as the screen shows "????". Good job not spoiling, Ram. Also, the Danganronpa 3 anime isn't even mentioned as an answer to basically everything making Danganronpa 2 unnecessary to play lol.

There’s a group of people at my school who are basically the K-Pop stans of this franchise.

DanganRonpa, by far my favorite franchise (not individual games or anime but collectively is my favorite). The story, the writing, the art, the music, the characters, the voice work, the charm, the horror, the fun, the hope, the despair! This has so much that I love, yes there may be some flaws but I don't care. A series I hold dearest to my heart and hell, the reasons part of my YT, PSN, Nintendo, etc. accounts are MonoHerobrine (the Herobrine part just always stuck for some reason). We may never get another game/anime/novel/manga. However, I'm so glad this series exists, and I'll be their for whatever Kazutaka Kodaka (the creator) has in store for us next. BTW, a great video you made man, showcasing one of the best of the best them lot in Japan can show the world. Keep up the good work RamZaes, can't wait for the other DanganRonpa videos. :3 phphph~

as someone who hopped into these games blind, i can confirm, especially with the second one, they are amazing experiences. To pick a highlight, when I got to the fifth case of the second game for the first time, I had to pause and just think about everything going on. It was awesome! Keep up the great work!

I love danganronpa even though i actually just watch everyone play them. I was actually introduced to it throught the anime because my friend said don't watch it (cuz im scared easy) but i thought she said it was a good one to start with... So i watched it. And felt real sick. And then i found out about the games and now i am kinda desensitised to it all. So i can thank dr for that lol. And i can't wait for you to talk about V3. I really like Kokichi even though he is a little shit lol. I think he is the male character i have drawn the most (i can't draw guys)

Ishimaru is actually translated to prefect (not to be confused with perfect) which is a person who should set an example for the rest and is given certain privileges. when I was in sixth grade all of my classmates (me included) were dubbed prefects. basically, our jobs as prefects are to set examples during breaks and help the teachers ensuring kids stick to the rules. that's Ishimaru in a nutshell.

I'm actually replaying all the games with my sister, who is playing for the first time ever. And this is my first time actually playing the games myself, since I watched a let's play of all the games a year ago. We are currently playing DR2 and it's a joy to see my sister try to solve all the mysteries while I'm controlling the game :)

I think Danganronpa 2 is the best in the series personally. It is one of the few serialized games or shows that manages to do serial escalation perfectly. Every mystery is more batshit than the last. Both DR1 and DRV3 have highlights, but they're uneven. DR1 gets boring after the third trial, and the DRV3 is boring in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trials.

Danganronpa is best replayed with a person who has no knowledge of the series. For the last month that’s what I’ve been doing and it’s a great time seeing how they react while having the dramatic irony of knowing everything that happens

I got into this fandom because I saw those meme videos like, "Steamed Hams but its a Class Trial" or "Golden Girls but its Danganronpa" and wanted to watch an actual class trial so I could understand the joke. Figured I'd just watch 1 class trial but that was all it took to hook me.

I thought that Danganronpa was "pretty good" until case five from DR2 came along. Then it became perfect. Nagito is literially the best character

for up until makoto actually appeared in danganrompa 2 i was 95% sure nagito was makoto, since you can spell makoto's entire name with only using letters from nagito's I had a theory that since nagito was so obsessed with hope while seeming corrupted by despair, i thought what had happened to the real world had corrupted him into the annoying prick he was. along with having the same ultimate and voice actor as makoto helped me reassure my theory
