Man. I didn't even know that Leon had a reaction command for that fight. They had to have been getting wrecked for that to come up lol. As for the limits I didn't think it was worth showing impact and mega impact compared to giga impact. It was a huge project in general. As for the gambler... I didn't even think about that. Ah well the project file is gone at the point and I'd rather not take this down and reupload again. Already have for a copyright claim at the start of the first video. Goodness. There is much more creative thought put into these Reactions, especially when we are talking regular enemies: there are mini-games, there are higher stackes on when you choose to push the button (that Mansex battle), there are healing dispensers if you do it right, there is splash damage, there is money and Drive pickups, there are benefits you can take from enemies as your own (Roxas's phantom blades), there are benefits you can make enemies drop, thus easying yourself a fight (Larxene's double)... There is WAY too much though put into all of these. Nowadays QTE's are mostly used for mechanically scripted events to finish off a boss or an enemy, but here it is just a cute mechanic, which rewards collected thought and well... Reaction :) If all QTE's were as good as these we would've lived in a perfect world.
Not to mention the names are cool AF. They dont call it generic stuffs like "Throw" or "Chase" or "Smash", but they call them "Burst Edge", "Overtaker", "Vertigo Toss" and some other cool names.
True and true i think a combination of the 2 would be perfect like having reaction commands and then situation commands on top of it i think it can work
If u pay attention at Restore Count at 39:55 when Sora slashes Marluxia with his own scythe, light particle appears instead of petals like when Marluxia hits Sora. This is probably because the scythe is not compatible with Sora not to mention this reaction commands doesn't deal damage to Marluxia. Probably because the weapon cannot betray its master
So youre telling me you played through the skyscraper reaction command in TWTNW 5 times so that you could edit sora in a different form for every building…? respect.
That last laser attack Xemnas does always freaks me out because no matter what my hands end up slowing down and I get worried I'll lose right there lol

A lot of reaction commands that I never knew of. And I played KHIIFM like alot (plus 3 times critical mode) and I never know that barbossa had a freaking cool reaction command
well done, I havent try all of reaction command cause i was playing the final mix version with japanese text back then, always mistaken between reaction command and party limit skill.
I don't get why they suddenly turned into a "triangle to win" meme or are straight up hated. They almost never deal damage except for some finishers or gimmicks like the 1000 heartless fight and even then it's not like they are available 100% of the time. Most of the reaction commands are just short animations to avoid/guard damage, get in a better position or transition a boss to another phase and you usually need to deal a certain amount of damage or do certain things to trigger them. It never took anything away from fights while also adding some variety even to normal enemies. Otherwise you would just keep attacking until everything is dead with no variation or anything.
It appears the reaction command recovery run is missing, for reference in the hollow bastion 1 fight with Leon if he goes down you can use recovery run to bring him back up
*REACTION COMMAND* - Press Triangle as a means to react to an enemy or event - Look cool doing it - Cheapen most of the combat in doing so, use it to almost have the game play itself Hikari works real well, haha. Roxas is good for something...

20:49 So does quick blade allow sora to teleport because it seems that warp snipe and quick blade he appears to get a blur with warp snipe but with quick blade he just disappears and reappears behind the magnum loader so is he just running really fast or teleporting but it seems with warp snipe he just moves really fast

I know this video is 7 years old, and it's an AMAZING vid, but uhhhh... There's a reaction command missing. "Recovery Run", it's available during the first visit to Hollow Bastion, you use it to revive Leon in the Nobody fight at the Bailey, if Leon dies.
im sorry but that xamnas fight and everything that led up to it was everything a final boss needed to be. its a shame they took all this away in kdm3 it could have used it. in my opinion
KH 2 my first KH game, through the reaction commands taught me how powerful the Keyblade really is, making me fall in love the series head over heels KH x Union Cross shown me how it’s possible to advance the Keyblade beyond its limits via synthesis on it, continued in KH 3 KH3 through Keyblade Drive Forms and weapon forms shown me the potential in the Keyblade by allowing its user to transform either themself or the Keyblade into other forms. And how every Keyblade achieved from keychains have their own unique drive form or weapon form So if I have a choice in being a fictional character why wouldn’t I want to be anything but a Keyblade Wielder they’re amazing beyond words
