This might be the best Kingdom Hearts video on RU-vid. High production quality, top tier clickbait that is admittedly not a lie in the title, and a recap of the franchise's entire plot with only a couple missed details (Namely, the reveal in Dream Drop Distance that Nobodies actually do grow their hearts back). How somebody can release a video like this with a somewhat active channel and not have even 1000 subs is insane to me.

This got to be one of the greatest videos on youtube. I mean, there are 10-minute video essays that are extremely boring and dumb, you actually managed to make 1 hour of content that's extremely engaging... You're definitely a great filmmaker, can't wait for more of your productions!

Just from the title I was expecting another bash on KH. As a long time fan, this was really well made and gave respect to the series even if you didn't like it. Its true that once you start to become critical about the writing that it may break for you, but its the fact that kh plays its story so serious that you can't help but wonder whats the next step of the journey. The KH series has always been about Heart. through good and bad you see the love and effort put into these games. This was a very great video with great editing and im glad you took something out of this series.

Best Kingdom Hearts video on the internet! The only thing I feel needs to be said is that the girl Lea and Isa were trying to save can't be Kairi, because that girl is confirmed to be 15 years old and from Union Cross and Kairi would have only been 4 at the time they were breaking into the castle.

Great video, very fun and well produced, but i must clarify something. 44:39 It WAS NOT Ventus who killed Strelitzia. It looked like at the begining but in one of the last updates it was shown that Darkness ITSELF without Ventuses help killed her and later commanded him to take her book. He feels bad for it, but technically he didn't kill her. 53:59 Nomura wrote this. Glad to be help :) 55:39 WAIT WHAT? It's stated in secret reports to KH3 not MoM and it wasn't Kairi who they were trying to rescue. At this time we don't fully now who Subject X (dark haired girl that Terra-Xehanort kept) was but from the scraps of information we have we could imply that it was Skuld, girl from X and Union Cross, one of the new union leaders. Now that i think about it you kind off forgot about Elrena(Larxene) and Lauriam(Marluxia) but with cluster fuck that this series and especialu UX is i don't blame you.

This is a LOT of work for an hours worth of solid entertainment I know it is said a thousand times on youtube, but man, this deserves some more views and more subs. I hope they come your way!

This is such a great video, went into it thinking “I’ll skip through some of the story I already know” and I’ve found myself watching every second of it. You’ve made everything so comprehensive and entertaining. It was a great time. Hahaha “what do you mean there’s a kingdom hearts 4 trailer!?” XD had me rolling.

Mild correction for the Melody of memories part. Lea and Isa weren't trying to rescue Kairi, they were trying to rescue a black haired girl hypothesized to be Skuld from Union X, who may have been transported to Radiant Garden without her memories after Data Daybreak town was destroyed at the end of Union X. Other than that relatively minor mistake, pretty good synopsis.

I gotta agree with everyone else, even professionals presentations manage to at least bore people out at some point, but in 1 hour never did I lose focus. You have a talent for making people pay attention, whether it be through always engaging people in the visual, the pacing and words or the editing, it's very good. Can't wait to see future projects and the continuation of this madness that is Kingdom Hearts when 4 drops.

This is probably the best “new to KH” videos in recent memory b/c I’m a kingdom hearts fan but I’m siding with the newcomer for once. 18:00 Right here you have described every Kingdom Hearts fan. Even if we're adults now and we can tell this is just randomly put together story beats to keep the train going for eternity. We still love it, and on Critical mode this is one of my favorites action RPGs out there next to Dark Souls, and NieR Automata. I grew up with it as a pre teen on the PS2 so ofc it holds a place in my heart especially 1&2, that prolly' wont ever change.

The ending summarized exactly what I love about the series,its just unique, nothing is like that and probably never will. Despite all of the story bs kh just enjoy's being kh. Anyway your editing skills are crazy,really great job here,you deserve WAY MORE recognition.

As a big KH fan since birth, this was a big try not to laugh KH edition, and I failed way too many times. You seriously made this an amazingly humorous and entertaining KH video honestly. 👏👏👏

Dude this was such a delight to watch, as someone who's been a fan of the game since kh1 came out in 2002. Like, yeah, you can say it's dumb and you don't like it and it's not to your tastes. You played the games, you have that right. You may not have wanted it, but you're one of us now. :p only kh fans get to make fun of kh. In all seriousness though, you're right that this game is special, nothing in it was ever something Nomura didn't want and envision for the series. Nomura is more than a game director. He's a fashion designer. He's an artist. I genuinely believe the kh series is a work of high art that explores the full potential of what you can do with storytelling in the video game format. Nomura is a genius and he owns my soul. Like! Dude! At the end of kh3 you lose and then come back and replay the same few cutscenes after Sora uses the power of waking to rewrite time. What does that say, as a game, to the player, about the concept of video games in and of itself? How many times was this story rewritten bc Sora didn't like the outcome? Gives new meaning to the difference between Sora's post lost-battle floatiness vs. the crossed arms pose. There are three mainline games but every installment (spinoffs included) is more important than the last. I hope you play kh4 when it comes out.

I appreciate how genuinely in depth this was. Though I do sometimes get tired of the clickbait titles for analysis of KH, it generally pushes me away from watching the videos. I'm really glad folks understand the charm of the franchise. I'd identify as a hardcore fan, following every game since the first one and still actively trying to piece the lore together. It's an endless task that will probably never have a true ending, but do I care? No, not really. It's a blast to do it. It puts a huge smile on my face, watching these characters that I deeply love and care about interact with each other in these insane ways. I think KH has a lot of very interesting and lovely things to say about connections with other people, if you boil the basic aspects of the franchise to it's simplest form. It's one of the few pieces of media that I feel genuinely celebrates connections / relationships in a way that doesn't feel corporate or soulless. That's one of the things I think IS well written about the franchise.

This was an amazing video. I can't really say anything negative about it. From 17:18 - 18:25 you hit the nail on the head for those of us who were able to play Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 on release. I waited until KH3 and when I finally played it I had ZERO Z-E-R-O idea what the hell the game was talking about.

This video was just an absolutely fantastic use of an hour, I loved every second of it. This is coming from a Kingdom Hearts fan who has been playing the games since the very beginning, buying each new game as they came. I enjoyed each one I played, but rarely left a game without qualms at least a couple weeks later once I had time to digest what I'd played. I sent this to some friends of mine as well. You hit everything that mattered here, and you absolutely did it with style. The editing here is fantastic, such a great use of cuts. And I laughed more than once when something nonsensical would happen and we would just cut to you, you'd give the little look we're all feeling, and then we'd get back into it. Thanks for making this video for us, from the bottom of my (Kingdom) heart 😁

I was on board with KH up until time travel was introduced and the revelation that Xehanort wanted to do good but just went about it in a terrible way. Low-key hoping KH4 gets the series back on track but I get the feeling Nomura is getting too high on his Versus XIII notes to create a coherent story.
