This video is incredible. No matter if the initial plan would've been a better video or not, I think I can confidently say that this video is still an amazing video. Thank you, and I can't wait to see what your next video will be.
PSA, the guy starring in top gun is a scumbag cult leader. His ex wife had to go into hiding and hire a full security detail in a hotel for her safety when trying to divorce him. Tom Cruise is human garbage.
What a great video. i was one of those huge fans of AC6, and I played 2 and 3 back in the day. Think I played 4 but missed 5? Not sure. Wanna find them and play them again now haha Just beat AC7 this past week and yeah, this video nailed it. Great stuff, dude! As long as the sky is there, we can dream about soaring through it.
Ace Combat X was so fckin goated. It was my first Ace Combat. I still have my PSP after all these years and there's only 3 games on it. Ace Combat X, Mega Man X, and Naruto, Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: the Phantom Fortress.
I'd argue these games actually aren't post-apocalypse, because in all of them (perhaps with the exception of Into The Radius, I don't have a lot of experience with that one) the world as we know it still exists outside of the main setting of these games. While a post-apocalypse is more synonymous with a large lack of any people or animals, with this destruction implied to be spread to a majority of the world. Instead, these games take an approach with a much more realistic outlook on a disasterous situation. There was no nuclear war, no zombie virus, no event that wiped out all of humanity and left just a small amount of people alive. What happened is a disaster occurred in a localized area, and then life continues in that area regardless.
You. I have never seen you before. I have never seen your videos before, let alone this one. But for some ungodly reason, you have produced a high quality video* about the topic of the apocalypse and the explanations behind it. I saw a dream a good while ago** about the apocalypse, a dream which didn't feel like just another dream, one that gave me false memories of the real world. In it, I saw a location that looks exactly like the clip of Deadside you showed. I couldn't have possibly seen that before for it to be in my dream. You have given me the next clue. Research calls. Thank you, good stranger, and props on the amazing content. *At this point, it is rude to call it a video. Nothing short of a professional documentary. National Geographic can eat its heart out. **One of the first days of June this year (2024)
Tim mate, the video may not have ended up being your vision, but it is still pure art just like the rest of your videos.. I really hope you get all the success you deserve man. The quality of these videos is insane, and I have a feeling you are just getting going. So so good feller 👏🏻🤌🏼
Just to add, 44k subscribers is ridiculous. Your writing is top notch, your delivery is like poetry. Your editing is ridiculous, mate.. it's so impressive 👏🏻 the algorithm has not been kind, but it's broken. Honestly, your videos are effing ridiculously good. My favourite.

You nailed the fact that Alan hadn't experienced this in real life, and it works because it fits the story. It gets really obvious when Rose gets ahold of the keyboard.....in night springs.
What is the name of the camo that you're wearing and where can I find it because I'm trying to make a stalker Loadout for Airsoft and I think that camo would look great. "Not letting one mag hit the tarmac before other one was already being emptied." is badass by the way.
Another fantastic short film disguised as a game review disguised as a vlog secretly hiding a perfect parallel narrative to the experience of an entire genre of media. Every time I watch one of these I wonder what this guy did (or does) as a career. Expecting it to be a cinematographer or writer for some big movie studio but I think just like the topic of this video, the majesty is in the experience and not just the answer.
Dear timmm, once again, I enjoyed your video, or should I call it a movie ? I feel sorry that technology failed you on this one, but I'm pretty confident to say that this scenario is better than the one you planed. Maybe it's because you're pretty good at what you do and you know how to stand up after falling, maybe it's because this infortunate situation looks like an echo of the topic, probably both. What I saw is a hero, lost in its own void, fighting against the chaos of life to finally tell the story of a journey, and that story was great. Thank you so much for your hard work, I'm glad I took the time to watch it, to reflect. What you said about gaming, is also true for youtube videos, people are watching a lot of content, and they want always more/better till there's nothing left to do. But you are the creator, if you want to write, just write, that's okay, you don't need to build a rocket to take shots from the moon. The passion you put into your work is a lot for me, I hope it's enough for you, and I hope you will continue to enjoy it forever ! Take care
For a game about traveling across America, death stranding seems to completely fail to take advantage of the unparalleled and diverse natural beauty that is this nation’s greatest asset. I understand there is a lore reason for doing so, but it seems like a waste to homogenize the entire map into 3-4 different “biomes” that fail to capture the spirit and soul that make traveling through the real American wilderness such a special, magical, and reflective experience. The cuts between your treck through Iceland and gameplay further reinforced this opinion. Disclaimer: I have not played death stranding (for the exact reason I’ve mentioned above), this is just what I’ve gathered from taking to people and watching videos about it. If anyone thinks I’m completely wrong in my above characterization, let me know and maybe I’ll be convinced to play it.
Ok I think I can explain it. If you like top gun, you like imagining you are the pilot and how awesome that is. Then Ace Combat will feel like the pool of fresh water you’ve been looking for in the dessert for years now. No gimmicks, no ploys, just damn good jet fighter gameplay. 😤😤😤
Gosh, this channel is the definition of style over substance. And I mean that in a good way. You have the most style of any creator on this platform. If you put even a little effort into storytelling (instead of being another video essay channel) you'd blow up so big. But there's something really artsy and cool about watching someone just flex their style, substance be damned.
TIMMM is like, the Sam Lake of the videoessay genre. Normally, you'd just narrate an essay over greenscreen, but TIMMM films an entire movie instead. I am blown away by every single release. tbh there is nothing more Kojima to me than video about a video about a videogame with self-commentary p.s. no disrespect to greenscreened essays meant p.p.s. DS is an amazing game and I spent 120 hours delivering packages and building roads for fun, instead of finishing the story.
