When cable breaks, you whip out the PS2 When you whip out the PS2, you play Kingdom Hearts When you play Kingdom Hearts, you beat Kingdom Hearts When you beat Kingdom Hearts, you challenge Sepheroth When you challenge Sepheroth, you die; A LOT When you die a lot, you throw your TV out the window When you throw your TV out the window, you hit your mother Don't hit your mother with a TV, switch to satellite
Really nice job, remember so much memories, I had to be lvl 100 with all the best items (Ulti, God save the Queen etc) to beat him :) Such a great game!
Nice video- Kemster I just wanted to say that when I finally beat Sephiroth, I used the ability of "soaring" or basically flying to my advantage to take Sephiroth down... Especially when he comes after you with his other abilities... Overall I thought it was really funny when Sora said KEY.. lol
"Congratulations, sir, you've made a little boy beat the crap out of the most bad-ass villain of the whole FF series, using a key, instead of a sword. Now you'll make Cloud's life even more depressive and miserable when he receive the news about what happened. You created a time paradox, you deserve a Leo, oops, an Oscar, mister cookie. :)" Best regards, Solid Snake
The first time I played this game was when it was first released. Sephiroth was a too hard a person to even attempt for me. Now that I'm replaying the game, there's now You Tube so I can see how an expert does it. THANK YOU.
*jawdrop* I thought Seph was scary because the writer of the walkthrough I use said it took him 3 hours, and on the internet it said that pretty much only advanced gamers. KH is my first game, I get my ass kicked all the fucking time and because of your vid I'm terrified of facing Seph xD You're epic... my god... I'll remember this vid when I'm about to face him.... Thanks, all in all it's very informative! =) And scary xD but amazing
It's been a while but I just remember needed to know how to fly to avoid the long sword and how to heal asap. I'm proud to say I properly beat both Kingdom Hearts one and two, Sephiroth included, but now, I don't even have time. I just happened to get into that one franchise and I've played other games a bit but that was the only one I got into......makes sense since I love Disney.
Another common strat I use is Jump and Glide to him. He will often leap forward and strike, landing farther back than his starting point. Soon as he lands, hit him four times, he teles and just listen for the sound of him coming back, and dodge roll. It's a lot easier to do, and makes it easier to avoid early damage.
I remember this fight... I also remember not being able to stop heartless angel all the time. So I had to learn to time Elixirs to hit before his followup Flash did. I loved this fight, just because of all the different ways you can go about countering him, and yet he's still hard no matter which you employ.
wow, that looked alot easier than the Kingdom Hearts 2 fight against him... I didn't go through all the tournaments on KH, but I have fought Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2, it took me a few tries, but I finally beat him after I left and power leveled for a bit.
This inspired me to turn my PS2 on and try this again. After a good 10-15 seconds of rolling and running, I finally lost, saying,"WTF" then laughed. You make thus look easy. Then again I'm barely a LVL 43
Awesome fight ! Thanks for the upload. I was never able to dodge his strike, that leave 1 hp and 0 mp :( Now i think i ready to kick his legendary ass : )
I love how nobody reads the description. Anyways, this Sephiroth could kick KH2 Sephiroth's ass any day of the weak. Props for not using strike raid by the way!
You, sir, deserve the Internet. Me and my brother used to see who could last longest, or get him to the lowest health. We never even got close to beating him XD
Read the description, he did what he could with a small and dark screen, not to mention he's not trying to profess his skill or anything like that, the boss is simple enough. This doesn't say anywhere it's "no damage" or anything fancy, so it's to be expected, being hit by his rapid attacks.
I was able to beat Sephiroth in KH2, but not in the first game. This really annoyed me, because I was at 99% completion for the first game, the Sephiroth battle being the only thing I couldn't beat. Great video
@Shadowwolf11630 In the Coliseum when you've beaten Phil, Pegasus, Hercules and Hades Cup, two question mark options will be given to you when you talk to Phil to choose which cup you want to enter. One is Sephiroth, the other is the Ice Titan.
man i miss these games when i was younger. i still have them for my ps2 but i just been playing more mature games now like call of duty and elder scrolls etc..
thats first strike you give sephiroth the first time when you first face, him you are proud of yourself just to notice that his life is the same. i remember that my friend didnt know about sephiroth and he was so shocked, he froze and got nailed by a slash. LOOL oh the good days
@GaaraXchik Like you say, I think he is easier in KH2. Its because Sora has some more abilities that come in handy to beat this guy and you're mp restores over time, not so in KH1. In this KH, he also does his spell that reduces your MP to zero and your HP to 1 but the guy in this video manages to hit him before he is able to cast it properly (nice vid btw)
You all clearly didn't pay attention to the video. At 1:36 it shows on the far right of the save file he's about to load; he's on Normal mode, level 83. Hope this answers everyone's question?
oh god bosses like this always got my heart rate going through the roof just on the last light green bar especially on ansem i could feel my heart beating through my chest XD fucking amazing how you beat seph though i take my hat of to you :)
@ScarletFlameFlandre There's a way to stop the attack, he says "sin harvest" (or something similar), and then you have about a second to smack him before the halo appears, if you do that the attack will fail. He won't likely use the halo attack after he uses his biggest attack, where giant rocks fly around the arena followed by a large explosion, so if you get that far it's not too hard to beat him. Also, you can avoid damage from the big attack by hiding in the corner (seriously).
Cloud is in KH1 as well. You fight him in the same location as Sephiroth. And yes, the whole theme of Kingdom Hearts is Final Fantasy crossed with Disney. That's why there's a bunch of characters from both Final Fantasy and Disney. -_-
seems like it would've been easier to put Curaga on one of your quick-use buttons. that way you can just hit L1 + X, O, Triangle, etc. regardless, nicely done!
damn i love epic fights like that where u can heal up and fight for 5-10mins against 1 super strong enemy , i wish i could play as sephirot in dragon ball raging blast 2 or in mortal kombat 9 , cant wait for these games , good fight man , i never killed him cuz i was a noob kid and now i only have a ps3 no ps2 and no kingdom hearts ;/ xD , sorry for bad english
After this fight Sephiroth needed some serious therapy to help with his humiliation of losing to Sora. Sephiroth: I was the Soldier commander! I was one of Final Fantasy's greatest villains and one of the hardest bosses in history! How on EARTH did I get beaten by a kid in giant yellow shoes wielding a freakin key with Disney characters tagging along with him TWICE?! I've got this huge awesome sword and I lost to a KEY? A KEY?!
@Cherryblossoms13100 I also love the way you say Cloud is depressing, yet Terra acts the same hahahaha that also how I can tell your just a fanboy XD. You know who else acts like Cloud (in the beginning at least) Shadow!
Obviously, in any JRPG, the extra bosses are always harder than the final boss him/herself. But it was just happened that Sephiroth was THAT EXTRA BOSS in both KH 1 and 2. It was ashamed that they removed him from all of those in-between games and prequel. What I like the most was that even with allies, he could effortlessly kill them in 2 secs in no time. He was a true Omega Rugal of the KH series.
@BlueRabbitKing Mmm, good points, this is a way to see it. Now, I do recommend people to use shortcuts, not do what I did, that's just my personal preferrence, for some reason I would always end up casting the wrong magics when I had them set up as shortcuts, haha. I do have two reasons for not using elixirs, or not wasting space with ethers. For elixirs, call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure they take a bit more time to take effect that ordinary potions, which can be costly. Plus...
@ScarletFlameFlandre Yeah, actually, I want to make another version of that video whenever I can... that's heartless angel (or sin harvest, like some people call it). What you need to do whenever he does that is either try to hit him if you're close enough, or if you're far and feel courageous, try to hit him with a long-range attack, it will disrupt the spell. If you can't do either, or you want to try the safe way, stand far away from him and prepare to heal yourself with a recovery item.
ive never played Kingdom Hearts but im getting kindof interested because ive been watching a friend play it. is Sephiroth in this game as story or is he a bonus boss? (for those of you who have played the games, like Deadbeard in Golden Sun or Dullihan in Golden Sun 2, more likley Dullihan because even at max level in GS he will fuck your shit up without the right strat lol)
For some reason, my second comment didn't show up. I was saying that it's also possible to heal yourself by using curaga right before heartless angel hits you, but this require timing. It is possible to do and is a very useful skill to master. However, if you fail, you will most likely have to pray that Sephiroth doesn't hit you and gives you a breather so you can heal. I have found that going on the offensive instead of defensive is often more effective in that case. Force him to back away.
-Hello Sephiroth, I am Sora!!! and i beat you!!! -Mmmmm, interesting... -Ok, begin th... -Take this!!! -What? No,no,no Wait! WAIT!!!!!!!!! *Sora is Dead -.-
I really find Sephy the hardest when he's around 30-70% HP because he's so hard to pin down and hit during that phase AND he spams Heartless Angel. By the way, here's one thing I do differently: I usually unequip all Combo pluses and Air Combo pluses because Sephy ONLY teleports away if you hit him MORE than three times in a single combo.
Strike Raid and Elixirs, that's how I did it. I could never catch him in time to stop that strange ability that drains all your HP and MP, so I just stood far away, used Strike Raid as quickly as I could, and Elixirs whenever I couldn't make it in time to stop him or when I ran out of MP. Did you know he can't deal damage to you while you're using an ability?
@pyrotech8285 Probably technical problem, happened DURING the recording. After "Sephi-BOOOOOM", Sora heals, and somehow the audio went off-sync. Then after Sephy finished his super slash move, yeah, the whole audio got quite messed up. It's not like that at normal condition.
I remember first taking this guy on. Never in the histoy of gaming have I ever encountered such a pain in the arse boss other than him. You have to be very agile, able to move in a second and be able to keep up with his movements. I was so proud when I managed to beat him, but I only ever took him on once. That was enough for me, considering how much of a pain in the arse he is lol. You make it look so damn easy. Damn you to hell :p
