the guy with the feather hat is you r investment banker. If you give him increments of ten coins and only in ten coins or cumulatively ten coins, he will go and store that money in your keep. This money will build up over time and the is also a visual representation in your keep of how much gold is there. Not only is this a great way to save gold when you can't hold anymore in your purse, but depending on how much money you have in your keep he will give you an extra amount each day including the money that you have stored away. He is an excellent way to ensure that you always have heaps of money. Ensure you play very quickly. Winter can happen as soon as day 18 and stops you from making new farms, takes away some of your existing farms, and prevents bunny grass from spawning, effectively killing you through starvation of cash in which case you have to already have farms and make extensive use of your investment banker. Also don't kill off your trader hut, there is nothing there that you can get for expanding far enough to destroy the hut that is worth more than the steady source of income he provides. There is no new content that you can explore on the first three islands so there is no point in playing a long game. The only new thing is something that involves that boat. once you send the boat off to the docks send your knights to the direction of the dock. The knights and their retinue of archers will get on the boat with you and travel to the next island, you can end up having eight knights per side on the later islands by doing this. Also when you travel to the next island make sure that you have a purse full of gold as this also carries over into the next map. Blood moons are also super nasty because unlike all other nights(when they end all the remaining monsters leave) during blood moons the next day does not start until all the monsters are dead. Final word of advice, rush farmers as hard as you can and put all the extra money you get from that into the investment banker. i'm really happy to watch this series and i hope that this comment is useful.
So the bankers DO generate interest! I thought maybe I was over-thinking it. Didn't know about the retinue traveling on the boat. I'll have to try that out next recording session. Thanks for the tips!
its very cool game, specially when you get a bear, taking map from a wood sign (costs 2 gold coins) is a must every time you leave an island because it unlocks new items!
You'd be surprised how many small RU-vidrs peruse other people's channels and hit the dislike button hoping that it somehow will raise up their own channel by tearing other people down.
