To clarify... the drug that made humans regress was the second drug used to make the apes smart in the first movie. They didn't know that would happen until AFTER one of the scientists got infected and died not before spreading it to another character who got on a plane at the end of the movie. The end credits show the spread of the disease from airport to airport. Making humans regress and apes smarter.

The reason I think Mae brought the gun when she went back to see Noah. Is cause she kind of left them all to die, when she destroyed the Silo by flooding it. So he had a reason to lash out at her, but he didn't. Cause a lot of the ape villagers probably had drowned.

I saw the movie last night and have many questions. What was the power source for the electric prods the mean apes had. How was it possible for Noah to repair one. Where did Nova/May get the perfect tank top and perfect fitting pants? Did the weather turn from cold to warm in two days so May didn’t need Noah’s Mom’s cloak? Near the end, why was the human woman wearing a helmet when receiving the satcom drive? What was the power source for the satellite farm? Who did they reach when the transmission succeeded and they got a response? Did Noah see a spacecraft when he looked through the telescope?

1- power source was the little battery pack on the apes hips. Proximos mentions that William Macys character was creating those for the apes. Noa was said to be more clever, and was able to use broken parts to fix it. 2- Mae has clearly been traveling all over, and has been in contact with the survivors at the satellite farm. It’s not unreasonable to think that she found clothes or was given clothes by other survivors. Malls are likely still filled with old clothes. 3- I think the cloak was more because Mae was out in the rain and at night would have been cold. 4- the human woman wearing a helmet was obviously to protect the people inside the vault from the virus. It’s likely that the virus is still an issue and most likely that Mae has it, but is immune. 5- the satellite farm could be nuclear powered or solar powered. Maybe we’ll learn in the next film. 6- I believe the person on the other line said they were in Indiana 7- I’m gunna go ahead and say no… he likely was just overwhelmed from seeing the stars and space for the first time. Remember he’s never seen a telescope before.

I watched it tonight ( In Australia), and really enjoyed it. :) I loved Rocco (?) too, and also thought he was gay, my fav character too, so wise, funny and gentle. Also, I said to my partner during the movie "Hey, this looks familar, like here in OZ". We watched till the end of credits, and yes, it was made here in Australia, just like the last movie I saw, "Late night with the Devil" was also made here. Quite a few Hollywood movies made over here the last few years. 😊 Yes, and the women apes hair I agree was cuckoo! 😅

I feel like Mae knew Noa's clans capabilities to successfully climb a great distance/height, and was only following him and the clan to get to what she truly needed. She really had no regard for the apes. Raka definitely had an influence on both Mae and Noa's outlook. But I see Mae and Proximus as the same... very selfish agendas.

the plot of the movie just seemed less revised, and overall just seemed okay. It seems that the human Maya or May, I forget her actual name, was on some top secret mission to help the people living in the bunker she met with towards the climax of the movie. However, according to the movie, Proximus was interested in capturing humans that were smart because they had knowledge of old technology. Maya tells Noah that Proximus's army wiped out her clan, but her story seems false, since its revealed that Proximus would have likely just imprisoned her clan because of their knowledge. This was the very reason why Proximus didn't kill Maya and was interested in finding more intelligent humans. Maya was very manipulative and well trained enough in military survival to understand the concept of infiltration. However, why the would the competent humans entrust such an important mission to one young girl instead of a special elite squad made no sense. How Proximus died seemed lackluster, and I wish the movie would have just explored the lure of how many intelligent ape colonies were currently existing around the world aside from the U.S. Since the american apes were solely affected by the virus, I guess other apes that lived in other countries remained unaffected, though I wish the movie would have better explained this.
@remliqa
@remliqa 13 дней назад
Proximus actually told us her that his "men" massacred Mae's team when they first encountered them because they didn't' realise those were one of the smart humans, Mae was the only one who escaped. . That was why they were chasing her the entire movie. Noa's village was attacked because they ran across it while chasing Mae. Obviously now know tha Mae and her original team was sent there on a mission.

Hi Joseph & Nick! 🐵🐵🐵Saw the movie today. I've seen all of the Planet of the Apes movies and this one is the least interesting as it focuses more on just the apes fighting/disagreeing with each other. This movie really lacks a lot of interaction with humans, which I really expected to see, and that was the main plot since the very first movie. One thing that really doesn't make any sense and there is too much time spent on it at the beginning of the movie and really drags out....is the apes climbing these high cliffs to find the birds nest to take the eggs so they can raise them. At the beginning of the movie they already show the apes already have a gigantic flock of eagles they have trained. Having this many eagles why couldn't they just breed the eagles and have all the eggs they want without having to go out and hunt for all these nests. This didn't make any sense from the start of the movie. I would rate this movie a 2 1/2. This May character is kinda evil, she wanted Noah's help since the beginning of the movie and then at the end of the movie she goes to say goodbye to Noah, and she was planning on killing him. Wow!!! Shocking!🐵🐵🐵✌🏼

Saw it last yesterdsay I really liked it from the moment Mae started acting shady & secretive I knew she couldn't be trusted right up to the very end she obviously had her own agenda. But shocked me was when she had a gun behind her back she was going to shoot Noa it seems she has no issue with apes being turned back into their primitive selves & humans would reign once again. My big questions is how afer centuries was Mae & the humans at the base were able to retain their intelligence & speech? It's obvious that some humans have an immunity to the virus & why weren't they able to come up with a cure? It's been 300 hundred years human kind has come up with cures for diseases like aids other diseases & other forms of cancer in less time than that. And yes, I said aids & other dieases the govtscientists & the medical field have found cures they just want to keep it a secret to keep humanity sick, in control & dependant on store bought medicine so they can pocket all the money.

I loved that this film ruminated on the way that legacies can be misappropriated, such a thoughtful theme to explore in a blockbuster movie. The best ones discuss big themes like this.

Why I was thinking the same shit, that he might still be alive.. I’m glad they have stakes in the movie too kill off an important character but something felt a little off, like he’s meant too be a bigger piece of the puzzle. He died too sudden and we didn’t really see him die

@@yaboyauss4273 It's also a predictable trope that the mentor dies, so it would be nice if they pull a Gandalf the White with him and let him come back.

I was very fascinated by the movie, but the first time I was knocked out of the narrative was when the girl appeared. Too beautiful and polished , even if you add a little mud 💅🏻😒 Plus a weak performance

But by the end of the movie you learn that she was raised by normal smart humans, probably in a clean bunker like we saw at the end, so it makes sense she'd be clean. It also explains where she got pants and a tank top when all the other humans are naked.

I'm a big fan of the original franchise, ever since I first saw the original in a cinema in the summer of 1974. A few years earlier in 1968, my mother went into labor with me, in that same cinema whilst watching that original movie. The original movies were on the TV all the time during my child and teen years, and I always enjoyed seeing them. I hated the Mark Wahlberg movie, which I walked out on. I love the Cesar trilogy. it's just brilliant. Especially Rise and Dawn. However, I did not like this new movie at all. I didn't like the story, or the pacing, and I didn't like the main human character or the actress's playing the part. I found her dull. I had no care for her character whatsoever. I personally feel they dropped the ball with this installment. Of course the SFX are incredible, but that's not enough.

this movie was so good and it seems like they’re going full beastiality with koa and mae cuz he was into her more than his homegirl giving her that blanket and caesar’s necklace and shit. it’s giving planet of the apes 2001 vibes 😂
