I can definitely see this as being a version that the original Planet of the Apes wanted to be but didn't had the technology to make it in the 60's. It reminds me of the Graphic novel "Planet of the Apes: Visionaries" where we are given the visual of actual Apes rather than the Iconic costumes in place of the story. I'm going on my theory that the girl is gonna be revealed at the end to be a astronaut who has landed on the planet and just her existence and possibility that more of her kind exist out in space and coming is gonna be the basis for this new trilogy.
I’m a little nervous with Matt Reeves and Andy Serkis not coming back, and nothing against Wes Ball but the Maze Runner movies were just fine to me. But the trailers do get me hyped and it looks epic
I think this story is probably more mundane than we think. Freya Allan"s character is from that timeline and that because of her intelligence she is better groomed. She probably can't speak but probably can read and has reasoning skills. Maybe unlike most of the primitive population she's immune to the virus.
Love the franchise (especially the original 1968 film) and like Rise and Dawn but was disappointed with War, but this looks fantastic to me, so a must watch.
