I also think that Kinger is hiding something from us, but I think together we will find out WHO HE REALLY IS. It is also possible that in EPISODE 2 they will tell us more about it in more detail
kinger might actually had a way to get out of the circus since hes always worried about his impenetrable fortress hes probably hiding himself,going out of his headset and making people to join the circus
I feel you're on to something with kinger being Abel. I feel matpat's theory on how everyone is a copy of a person's consciousness...and not the person themselves....makes the most sense though. And with that in mind paints a really interesting perspective. Your theory made me convinced that Cain...isnt just an AI, but he's also a copied consciousness like all the other characters. He was Abel's/Kinger's partner and CoOwner for the company. Cain's consciousness was the first one to be scanned and was used for the RingLeader character who was also used as the main AI running the operating systems and building out the circus as a whole. Kinger would have been the next character to be added being a copy of Abel's consciousness, and then everyone else from there until we get to pomni, who was probably either a beta tester or an intern.
I just adore this theory!! I think it makes a lot of sense, and answers a lot of loose ends we get from just the pilot. Why is Caine not the real villain of the story? Because he's just an AI; the _real_ Caine is the one who worked with Kinger. Why has Kinger not abstracted despite being the "most insane" one there? Because he's really not as insane as the others are. His subconscious prevents him from abstracting, while the other characters can abstract because they do not have that subconscious. Why do we not see Pomni's human body with the VR headset? Because its literally _in_ the Circus, and the C&A employees might just watch it happen and put the headset back where it belongs; on the table, waiting for the next victim. Absolutely genius!!
Kinger never lies because, the only reason he is crazy because of queenie so for this to solve you have to think really really hard so is nothing to do with Caine because he just a AI if he wasn’t then Kinger will own the circus why you think he lying is because he’s crazy you are right he’s not always crazy but I think Kinger picked his name too because when you put on the vr headset when you get abstracted the vr headset will be glitched too you can’t use a exit door to escape you need to pull of the headset so there’s no way out of the circus so you got it wrong, just remember this is a theory.
the digital circus is emant to be cartoons, caine can just throw his hat behind him, and it warps onto his head, jax is doing the same thing like making things appear since hes probably used to objects not applying to the laws of physics
if kinger is supposed to be the ”creator” of TADC, then who is queenie? is she just his sister or his wife and why did queenie abstract before kinger? (and why did she abstract) they both probably went in together and if queenie abstracted before anyone else came (like jax, ragatha etc.) so no one can see that he is hiding things, why couldnt he undo the abstraction?
maybe queenie or whatever her name is was the first (or one of the first) to abstract and abstraction is like one of those stubborn bugs/glitches you just can't seem to fix no matter what you try to do idk

If the people could choose their own name part was applied, EVERYONE EXCEPT Pomni would have came up with their own name, as they have either 3, 6, or more letters in their name
Kinger won’t abstract because he lost his wife in the circus than kinger can handle anything and Pomni is already going insane if she can’t handle a special and fun day of the circus than she can’t handle anything
My theory is that Kinger made TheAmazingDigitalCircus and he went in the game to test it but then he realized he could not go back to the real world and then after that something happened so TheAmazingDigitalCircus was released to public and some people played the vr game and those people turned into Gangle, Zooble, Ragatha, Jax and Pomni. Maybe the vr game aka Tadc got released by a worker from C.A and that the worker thought that the boss was gonna release the game but he already left so the worker released the game to public. And that’s my theory! Edit: I have another theory about kinger. So, I know Gooseworx confirmed that kinger and queenie aren’t a couple, but remember when Zooble said “No offense Kinger, but I thought you would be next” then kinger replies with “Thank you” so it made me think that when queenie abstracted kinger felt sad and lonely so he wanted to abstract to to meet her again. And that’s my other, theory!

I think it’s much more darker than that. I think they weren’t transporated but their real selves were copy and paste meaning that their real selves are safe and happy on the outside but the ones that are got copied don’t have a phyiscal body to get back to.
joke theory: kinger is a donut! real theory: kinger was trying to test the headset then BANG he got stuck since he is insane he see's no real reason to try and escape he's in his own wacky world (his mind not the circus)
Pomni is also the crater of the circus becuz when ragatha says cain can only heal it if you look at pomni left hand she heal her hand but after she got distracted her hand got crazy so how voice me!?
Another theory what if tadc is in the modern era? Because vr has only been around for so long and even though they have older devices that’s probably because of how long it had been going on
I think maybe kinger didnt intentionally have others in the circus he just wanted it for him and might feel bad for the others, however, there isnt really any proof of this theory so it remains to be seen
Guess what, apparently the digital circus is for people who deserve it, with Jax deserving it the most. Idk how this works with Ragatha, so what if Jax is secretly good, or the entire cast is all completely evil
