This is probebly the best theory. But there is a theory that he escaped and to avoid the other characters trying to escape Caine made an npc called an Abstraction so when someone escaped he would put it in their place so no one would get suspicious and search for an escape

Maybe because he can intract with the other abstracted ones or it's just very very tight so the clown (kaufmo) can't get out because the exit of the cellar can only be opened by Canes staff or stick.
Theory: Jax is probably the devil cause he is unreasonably being disrespectful to everyone in the circus like devil tosses people in heck,but Jax cares very much little at times
Another theory by me is that Caine forced Kaufmo to abstact because Kaufmo saw the exit door and if Kaufmo wouldn’t abstract,he would tell it to the others so Caine didn’t want them to know that there is an exit door that leads to the void and the void leads to the real world and when Pomni went there,he immediatly got her out and he couldn’t think that she could tell.So i think that on the next episode Pomni might abstract.
I think there's no main villain. It's just that everybody in the circus will eventually go insane and abstract and play the role of the antagonist's in each episode.
I like how no one notice a clear clue so the exit pop up for no reason even Caine don't know why it's moving. He may be a a.i but there most likely something else that can control the a.i itself

I think kaufmo found the exit and got a camera and took pictures because he wanted to show the pictures to the other circus members that there was a wat to get out but Caine got him out of there like with pomni but Caine instead of letting it slide he punished kaufmo by isolating him from the other circus members and Jax gave him the bowling ball so he wouldn't think about the exit but he ended up going insane and abstracted
I have another theory I think the place that Caine and bubble were with all the mannequins is were the new circus members that are staying there until someone puts on a headset on but also where abstracted characters go after being abstracted then turns back into a mannequin and goes back to the restaurant place

I think that clown characters are the only one can see the exit like kaufmo his a clown but pomni is not a clown but a jester so a clown and a jester can see the exit so I think pomni will not know what is abstracting mean so she will abstract then a character a jester will spawn in so I think kaufmo abstract because he thought his friend all his friend are evil so he abstract so they can hurt them ragatha and gangle his victam because of not laughing at his joke
Kaufmo always (to me at least) seems like a we don't talk about Bruno situation nobody like real went into depth on who he was in the pilot episode at least not with any real audio. His story so far that anyone knows one day he just abstracted and no one talks about it the end. Sus. No?

In TADC, I do believe that kinger is actually the traitor. Not in the sense of him abstracting kaufmo, but being responsible for the circus in the first place. & if this show has biblical references then kinger’s human counterpart’s name would be “Abel” representing 1, Caine & Abel (standing for the company name) & 2, his mental stability. This would also mean kinger isn’t just an employee but probably the CEO of the C&A company we see in the exit door scene. He probably got bored of running the company, so instead sent himself into the amazing digital circus & requested his employees to send random civilians into the circus, eventually ending up in the lovable cast of cartoon characters we have today. Now not only does this prove that he’s the devil of the story, he probably created Caine to stimulate him there so he doesn’t just kill himself over constant boredom. He probably cleared his mind so he wouldn’t remember what he was doing to himself. That’s all I know.
