Wow ..the streets there are so clean! Not sure if its that area (like most areas of Aberdeen ) but from all of the videos I have watched including yours, it seems that most of Scotland seems to be a pretty clean country. Is it true though, that the garbage collection is not as often there as it is here in the States? like monthly or ever up to 5 weeks ? Our garbage is collected twice a week at least some areas 3 times. tks for answering my question in advance and for sharing these local areas in Aberdeen. truly enjoy watching them nd appreciate it! 😊-Chicago USA
On my street, trash is collected once a week. That has been different in places, but only because of strikes. It is the same as it was when I lived in Canada. As for cleanliness, it is overall quite clean and people actually use the trash bins. I've been to places in the US with considerably more litter, but that was years ago. For the record, my brother drove a garbage truck for years in Canada...
@@scottg2754 yes we ALL know US has MANY places with trash everywhere . Wasn't saying Scotland has trash. Another vloger on youtube said THAT trash pick up was not as often. so I figured I would ask ? ;-) . I lived in NYC for 51 years of my life. Trash almost everywhere daily. lol Im in Chicago now its a bit cleaner where Im at. I have family in Canada , Toronto when i used to visit there often as a teenager and thru my earlier 20's i remember it being very clean. the subways and the street. tks for answering!
@@GodsSoldier33 understand that. I know there are often issues. I know that if there is a delay in trash removal here, it is usually a strike issue. I've been back in Scotland less than a year after 14 years in China. I've not seen any issues where I've been in Scotland since last summer. Most of my time has been here in Aberdeen. It has been quite good, actually. They get to my place about 7:30 on a Monday morning...the noise is unmistakable.
