to be honest not for me, because I’m kind of a thrill seeker. But I will say on the diamondback and Orion you’re hardly in your seat for the ride. You were like 4 inches in the air during the whole ride. You don’t get a rest break at all, lol 😂😂😂
Orion's first drop was insane, especially in the front row! I was getting airtime before the ride even began to pick up speed, which was an unusual feeling.
Lots of great memories with these coasters. To bad you couldn't have gotten the old ones no longer there. Cobra screaming demon and the original bat. The cars on that thing swung like crazy. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. At least we didn't get all the bumps and jolts from the coasters. Thanks for sharing this.
It’s neat how when viewing these drops from a screen, they do not seem that big. When you actually ride the ride, you get more perspective making the drop seem bigger than it actually is.
It’s because of the fov of portrait mode. If you look up comparisons of zoomed in normal and zoomed out videos of something like the inside of a train, you will see the huge difference the fov makes.
I miss King’s Island so bad. I never get to go anymore. When I was a kid during the summer my dad took me at least 4 days a week and we tore it up. The best memories 💕
@@mrsquidward6116 Mystic Timbers is a good introduction if you're not quite ready for things like Orion or Diamondback. It's got great airtime and it's not crazy tall so it's a good intro coaster
I remember the first time I ever went to kings Island, I rode the diamondback before I rode adventure express. All my family that I was with told me that at the very end of adventure express, there is this huge drop. I was preparing myself, so I was like leaning back in my seat, and ready to scream, and it’s safe to say that all of the people behind me thought I was absolutely insane.
Bro I rode it backwards first and when I was going back on the 2nd drop I almost passed out even though I wasn’t scared AT ALL bro never riding it again
That adventure express drop hits different whenever you are 12😂😂 but taking some friends there soon who have never been there, imma tell them they have the BIGGEST drop 😂
I love all of them. Of course the kiddie coasters aren’t that great but they’re still pretty good. Great pumpkin coaster I didn’t get to ride since I was too tall to ride it without a child
Just went on the diamondback and great pumpkin and Orion for my birthday as a last ride before we left kings island (was my first time on a roller coaster it rly wasn’t that scary)
I have been getting season passes to Kings Island every year since 2017 and I can confirm all the drops in the video look a lot smaller than they are in real life
@@katrinagreely5399 They had an original bat that operated for a couple years and then they built this one. It still operates however it was been under many names like Top Gun and Flight deck but it is currently named the bat
@@elementoftheride ahhhh….gotcha! Top Gun was there last time I visited. Seems kinda weird and bad luck to rename a ride for a problematic one that was torn down. Not to mention super confusing to those of us who remember the original Bat. 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks for clarifying!
@@katrinagreely5399 Oh you’re fine, glad I could help. I personally think it’s really cool, they named it as homage for the old bat. The old bat was the first of its model so it was really problematic, this is the same model but after many years of innovation and development that made it much more successful than the original.
samee!! it’s a tradition now every single year we go to Kings Island, we ride that first. Even though I’m 14 now, it’s still fun because that was the first roller coaster ever rode when I was seven. Yesterday actually I rode every single ride at kings island and I had a blast. We go to Kings Island every single year but this year we managed to ride every single ride. Very happy about it.
@@Sterling_121 we live about an hour and a half away. we’re from Columbus! But we get as many free tickets every year as we want however, bc my bsfs moms work. They hand out a BUNCH! Super grateful bc we went 2 days in a row this year, and are going back in october for my birthday as well!
⚠️WARNING⚠️ Do not go on the Beast it hurts really bad and you will leave with a terrible headache and there’s a chance of a bruise on your arm! I 💯 recommend Orion, Diamondback, Banshee, Invertigo, The bat, Adventure Express ( not to scary but good ride for kids ), Woodstock express. AND FINALLY THE BEST RIDE OF ALL IS THE GREAT PUMPKIN COASTER!
I went to Kings Island a couple days ago and the bat was the first rollercoaster we went on and I could hardly breath, screaming, and my back was hurting, and after I had a sore throat
Ngl if you like coasters come to kings island I live 10 minutes from Kings island so I got a gold pass and the it pays for itself and the line are not super long on weekdays so you get a lot of coaster trust me kings island is so fun
