You had me at - " I know this record rules." All 10 songs are banger. Love from India. On a sidenote would love to see Rostam sometime on Vampire Campfire.
Such an interesting conversation about how it's difficult to make rock music sound fresh today. I think you guys' effort to make exciting/innovative rock music is one of the reasons you're so great.
I almost want to consider Ariel the 4th member of the band at this point. Love the three amigos of course, have a signed copy of FOBT with all three. Connect is an absolute masterpiece, this is album of the century 🙌
I loved this. I've been a longtime VW fan since their first record was released when I was in 8th grade. I remembered listening to the music on repeat on my ipod shuffle! So excited for the new record. I also can't wait for the Mpls show this summer. It will be my 3rd concert. The last concert, I caught the pick from Ezra after they played A-Punk. Truly a happy moment in my life! Much love from Minnesota.
I had no idea what this campfire would entail, but I am not (entirely) disappointed. I forgot musicians are human, they chat like us, discuss heights, make a funny ,etc. Songs are mad durable btw We TY 😂
Dig that vintage Mephiskapheles shirt! My best friend sported the same one, until it became rags. I saw them open up for Gwar, in Detroit, around ‘97. Satanic Ska…
I gotta say I'm shocked A.H. to hear a member of this band say production "comes last" and doesn't matter as much??? I feel like VPW has become like 50% production with the last couple albums
I met Dave from Chromeo, he's tall but I'm not sure about 6'5" unless he's counting his chelsea heels lol- I'm 6'3" and I recall him being roughly my height
the arrogance these guys have is second to none, cringeworthy face twisting arrogance. I think they liken it to there being nothing wrong with having some Seinfeld-like level of self belief (alpha-jews). To me it's just repugnant.. this is not their best album. All their music these days feels like a bunch of experiments, with very little cohesion... it feels like all the songs are worked to a point of submission, and that it truly is music made by committee..
