Excellent video with great camera positioning. I am surprised that some bins are lidless, however, I did see one lid detach and drop into the hopper of its own accord 😂. Great video, well done 👏 👍
Thanks mate, yeah it’s a pretty common site here, they fall of pretty often. That specific one was because the council put mastec bin clips in a Sulo bin 😂. Cheers mate!
@@aussiejohn5835 it got to the point where because they were only with mastec, if a lid fell off they’d replace the whole bin, so at least they figured that costed more in the long run and started giving Sulo lids again.
Nice one mate! always love the vlovo spaks, theres something sastfyng about them on garbage, the small bins look great getting emptied, inconestient lid flips is always fun to see, The bucher unit is nice, not as intresting as the spak, but still an enjoyable watch.
Thanks mate, I definitely prefer the Spak as well, a very interesting truck to film. Bit a treat to see on garbage, usually only see it on FOGO. I’ve noticed a lot more inconsistent lid flips, it’s like the arms have been slowed down a bit. The 80ltr bins are always fun to see. Cheers mate!
@@wasteintasmania been doing some work looking at the trucks, one of the trucks I can't find is 71099. is duck princess maybe it? I know its not numbered, only thinking this as 71000 is a spak.
@@Merri-bekGarbo I've actually had someone mention to me 71099 and the fact they thought it was a Volvo Spak. Considering the Glenorchy Spaks come right after the Launnie Spaks number wise and are the same age, I'd say it's highly likely they all came in once batch, this one included, so 71099 or somewhere around there is definitely possible. I've been meaning to ask the guy who drives this if he knows, on their log sheet they have to write the vehicle number so it must have one. I'll mention it next time I see him. Cheers

If Veolia in Tasmania buys another Bucher side loader will they get the newer 24m? And are there going to be Dennis and other cabs or is it just iveco and Volvo! And you remember the old name Collex?
The last batch of trucks down here were Iveco Spaks, and that was when they were buying Dennis’ on the mainland. I presume it will just be Iveco cabs with either Bucher or SuperiorPak bodies, whatever is cheaper at the time. Yeah I remember collex and the old truck signage, many of our older trucks still had the collex hippo.
