I've seen children who were victims of molestation or sexual assault have their lives ruined because of it. Saying it doesn't affect children is just straight up wrong. Sex is not just about the passionate feelings. It's also about the very blunt reproductive process, puberty, and sexually transmitted disease. We should be teaching the science, and consequences of sex. Teaching a rational class on how it works is to inform the young. Because when humans hit puberty they get horny. They will fuck, and they need to understand what it is, and what will happen. IT's the only way to make them understand the responsibility of it. Middle school is a good place to start teaching about the reproductive process. It's not teaching how to fuck, nothing to do with kinks, or vulgarity.

Honestly, the key to making it easy to talk to your kids about this stuff is to not think of it as dirty or be really awkward about it. It's a good thing that, like anything else, has the potential to be abused and can cause harm to yourself and others when used irresponsibly. I got the more middle-ground experience, where they explained the physiology of the process, but didn't go into explaining various kinks. While it wasn't exactly a comfortable class, I wouldn't call the material as it was presented "traumatizing," or "disturbing." I suppose in that sense, I lucked out.
