We finally get to use the tractor. We attempt to pull down a dead pine tree, root ball and all, with our Kioti CK3510. We do a little cuttin, a little stackin, and go over our impressions of the tractor after our first real use.

When you hook up attachments, shut off your motor, release the pressure in the hydraulic system by moving the valves after the motor is shut down, then make connect, or disconnect your fittings. Goes a lot easier, and a lot less mess. Enjoy your new machine!

Thanks. I have since figured that out, but took alot of frustration first. Ha

I also have the same tractor CK3510 se cab and I have about 90 hours on mine with absolutely no issues thus far. I generally used mine to move logs around for firewood cutting but have also moved/spread 40 tons of gavel and plowed snow a number of times. Nothing better than air and heat! Enjoyed the video!

A job that would’ve been a few hours by hand limbing and all, was quick easy work! Good stuff!

Just a couple scoops with the grapple, and done. Much easier on the back. The first tree that fell took days to clean up and move.

Hey Buddy, I have same tractor, open station for about 9 months. So far, couldn’t be happier. It has exceeded my expectations. Grapple is best thing since sliced bread. Can’t tell you how many hours it has saved me with tree and brush clean up. I would definitely advise some kind of guard to go inside the factory grill guard. Sooner or later a limb is going to find its way in and damage the front grill. I made my own out of some expanded metal. They are a few guys out there that are now making and selling them for this model. As the other gentleman commented, definitely want to have tractor off and pressure relieved when connecting 3rd function. Shouldn’t lose any fluid following that method (or at least it works for me). Can’t remember if I saw that you got a set of pallet forks with your deal. I had decided not to get set and then changed my mind. Probably my most used attachment. That are thousand things you can use them for that you normally think about. Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough. Enjoying your videos and glad you are enjoying your tractor. - Jeff (from eastern NC)

I did get pallet forks. Havent had a chance to use them yet, but making up a reason to soon. Next time I need the grapple I am gonna try the tricks everyone has said. I appreciate you watching.

Just subbed, I am thinking about getting a 3510se with backhoe. I have watched many kioti videos, but every one has just a few hours, I'll watch too see how it goes. Thanks for your time

Great video no sure why you would be making mess with oil with your quick disconnects they should just plug in you would get a few drops but that should be it
@muchgooderish
@muchgooderish 2 года назад
Thats what I have seen with the quick disconnects, but not what I am experiencing. Tractor on or off, same result.
@stephenlehr6020
@stephenlehr6020 2 года назад
My suggestions on the quick disconnects (QD's), always shut the tractor off, then turn the key to ON or RUN (not START), then work the 3rd function hydraulics both ways, several times. Do this both when connecting AND disconnecting (you can easily disconnect the fittings and leave the attachments line pressurized otherwise). I would also try hooking up the female side of the grapple first, then the male side into the female side on the loader. I wouldn't think this would matter if the pressure is completely released though. I believe that the key needs to be in the ON position with the tractor not running to release the pressure in the lines, just working it while OFF and the key NOT "ON" will not release the pressure in the lines. (full disclosure, I went with 1/2" flat face skid steer style connectors for my 3rd function, to be sure there was no....spillage..... EXPENSIVE QD's though, have considered switching the rear's as well, (4) females on the rear so all the attachments could use the less expensive male QD's, but have not gone to that extreme yet...) The CK definitely has a tight turning radius which is nice, just noticed that it caused the outside front tire to scrub a bit which will cause more wear, so I would only do that when you really need to, and on wet grass it would likely tear up some grass. Other suggestion (one I am guilty of often as well) is to park the tractor with the bucket flat on the ground, that cutting edge will not be fun to find with your ankle and is a tripping hazard when up, I am always doing this with the pallet forks, LOL.... And to make things easier on your back, lift the log up to waist height or so when your bucking the log, then you won't have to lean over (just watch your toes for falling chunks of wood....). Please don't take any of the above as criticisms or critiques, I hope they are just helpful observations (I am still figuring this stuff out as well, though there is no video evidence of the lessons I'm teaching myself). Great video (with lots of angles too), especially with the family getting involved!! That would have taken the whole day without the tractor, and you'd be wiped out, the Kioti made easy work of that, have a good one!!

All great points that I noticed as I watched the playback. I did lower the bucket flat off camera. I dont turn that sharp regularly. Just wanted to show how impressive it is. I will try the QD trick and see if it works. Thanks for the great feedback. Been doing stuff the hard way for so long it is hard to remember I have a great new tool in the tractor.

you could swap out the ag couplers on the 3rd function and grapple with flat face ones. They don't leak when connecting/disconnecting, but you still need to shut it off and relieve pressure.

I shut it off now when connecting. Pain, but stopped the leaks. Thanks for watching

Goog job friend, hate to sound like captain obvious saying this, I have a ck3510 and I attempted similar feats just to find out that with a tractor you get far more torque pulling from the back of the tractor, also, it is far less taxing on the bucket and its mechanism since it is designed to push and lift not for pulling. Once again good job good video and thank you for sharing.
@muchgooderish
@muchgooderish 2 года назад
Well, you dont sound like captain obvious, because it was not obvious to me. lol. I went with the front because I could raise it up and it was not as drastic of an angle.. But you never know until you try. Thanks for the comment and for watching. We appreciate it.

I bought a TYM 264 last spring. I started noticing all these Korean tractors have tiny buckets yet high lift capacities. After owning it a while I think I know why. The hydraulics on these compacts will lift way more than they list. My TYM says 1400 in the bucket, not at the pin and it will lift considerably more than that. I guess the buckets are smaller for safety. I was sooo close to buying a Deere, but the more I shopped I ended up buying a bigger tractor with a better warranty and saved $4k on the tractor and another $900 in sales tax. Dealer 45 minutes away, but I had everything I need to trailer the tractor if I can't fix something.

@muchgooderish Год назад
I have heard TYM makes a good tractor. No dealers were close to us for us to look at them in detail.. I am surprised at how much I can lift with my tractor. It has lifted everything I ever attempted, and that's with only a box blade on the back and ballast in the tires. Thanks for watching!

How much work would it have been if you cut the tree in the first place????????

You can't have the tractor running when attaching or disconnecting hydrau lic couplers ,then shake loarder stick to relieve pressure and then do your coupling
@muchgooderish
@muchgooderish 2 года назад
Thanks for the advice. I have started shutting it off and jigglin the stick more. I also started turning the key to the on position and pressing the 3rd function buttons to relieve pressure. We appreciate you watching and commenting.

I have the 2610. Both rear axle housings cracked. I was told that kioti will not warrant them. Not happy with them. Tractor only has 300hrs on it.

They give a reason why it wasnt covered?
@crazyfarmer2564
@crazyfarmer2564 2 года назад
Because I put wheel spacers on it. I couldn't mow my grass without them. The tractor would roll over Because it wasn't wide enough to stick to my yard.

I use loader with grapple when I clean up brush. I should have broken something up there. I pushed the lift capacity to the limit. I was tilling gardens with a 5ft tiller when the back housing broke.
@muchgooderish

@@crazyfarmer2564 I would have taken them spacers off before taking it in. Hind sight.. Everyone looks for a reason not to honor warranties, or insurance..

Yes. I should have but I was running out of time because I knew I would be working late the next few nights. Other then this it's not been a bad little tractor.

If you would have attached the chain to your draw bar instead I think it would have pulled it right over without issue.

You are probably right. It was close to cracking and dropping, but at the same time I was a little concerned about damaging the tractor since it was so new!. ha Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it.
