We've put our Kioti CK3510 to the test after 3 years of heavy use, we got the package with the KL 4010 loader and KB2475L backhoe attachment. We've added a few others over the years, but we're discussing how well the compact tractor has performed, what we've been able to accomplish on our home build and developing our homestead in the Colorado Mountains.

We own a DK45SE HST and similar to you, we've used our Kioti for everything. We have the 2485 stick, 80 inch snow buck, forks and 7 foot york rake. We've designed a 6 foot work platform for the forks and use that to transport anything. We consider our Kioti the 2nd best investment, first is our 9 acre property. Thank you for the great video. Thank you for this review. Just bought the CK3510 w/ backhoe, box blade and grapple. In having not much experience I need the tractor for maintaining a 1 mile gravel road here in the Mtns of NC. I was given a gift of a foot of heavy wet snow my first week of having the tractor this past January. In never having used a tractor in snow, I used a scraper blade and 4W low.. Have to say I was amazed how well that scraper blade preformed in getting a nice curl off the sides and clearing within a 1/2 inch of the gravel on just a few passes. When everything melts will learn to clear an area for a barn thats heavily wooded, should be good practice on the backhoe as well.. so thanks for your video, it gives me confidence that this model can handle the jobs in front of it.

My wife and I have a plan to place a couple buildings on some land we have in the N Utah mountains, a Cabin and a reasonable Steel Garage. I have been shopping for tractors, mainly looking for abilities and size. Your CK3510 is the size (weight lifting capacity) I'm looking at and to see what you were able to accomplish with one that size has made my mind up. Now to settle on the brand. My slope is not quite as steep as yours and the soil is good with some rocks and boulders but I'm confident I can do most of the work myself, well the tractor will. Great Review.

Hello from Canada. Love your video and you guys have been very busy Your video has helped me make my decision to go ahead with the 3510. I live in a real snow belt area and I am going to install the tow behind Inverted snow blower so you drive forward while clearing. They have become very popular as most residential snow removal companies are using them over the last few yrs. I own a similar size JD but I can’t get a cab for it due to its age. JD are a lot more money compared to the Kioti Thx and keep having fun.

When I moved here in Tennessee back in 05 I had to purchase some form of riding mower to mow over 2 acres of lawn so I bought a 23 HP Craftsmen at Sears. In 12 years I beat the poor thing to a pulp; new tires and wheels, new deck, front suspension, many new mandrel assemblies and at least a dozen or more deck and drive belts. I have a hill that slopes like your deck side of your home and was forced to, because it would not climb the hill, sit on the fender and mow perpendicular to the fall line and, yes, I still feel it in my back. In fact I named the tractor “The BackHammer”. I must of put enough parts into that thing to pay for it at least three times. So 3 years ago I upgraded to the top of the line Cub Cadette tractor/mower and now, with a locking differential, I can climb the hill. I’d like to buy the box grader for this small tractor since it’s time to redo my driveway with stone, I have neighbors that would come and do it for me but self subsistence is important to me. Your video about the Kioti tractor and implements is inspiring since only after a little more than 100 hours my Cub Cadett GX3 25 HP is taking a beating. I see a finish mower or a bush hog in your future.

Own 2 Kioti tractors. Bought a new DK45 in 2003 w/ backhoe, loader, post-hole digger, finish mower, and brush hog (over time!) 2,800+ hours on it. A true workhorse. Actually bent the subframe on the backhoe which I replaced and reinforced. Instead of plowing snow with the bucket I bought a 2410 (HST)with a front snowblower. Made a cab for it and it is fabulous...we're in the snowbelt south of Buffalo. The 2410 became a necessity as my orchard trees grew and the 45 doesn't go through. I go 75 hours between oil changes on the DK45 and 100 hrs. on the 2410. Next year I may need to replace the (Industrial) tires. Wish I had the quick release on the loader bucket so I could put forks on easily. I love these tractors and never wished I went green.

At 300 hours it' barely broken in. Sounds about a 125$ an hour,with the tractor loader backhoe price of 32,000 $ price for the whole unit. plus fuel & fluid changes = 1.5$ per hour for fuel and 2.75$ per hour for All them filters & fluids. Just waite till the 3000 hour mark then it might have paid for itself!!!

I would suggest a light bar and some individual lights you can U bolt to the roll bar. Any work in the dark (snow clearing) having a lot of light makes things safer and at worst you can always use it as a mobile light platform if say you need to do an emergency repair on the car at night. Never drill into the roll bar so any mounting to it must be bolted around the bar or into existing factory holes. That you can also put a beacon light on the roll bar will make you more visible when working near the road in low light.

We have a John Deere 3033R with the Yanmar 1.6L 3-cyl diesel engine. Has been a continuous problem since we bought it new. We purchased the extended warranty that is up August 2021. Every time we take it in for repair, they have it for weeks. Seriously thinking of getting rid of it next year. We have a New Holland dealer near us, may check them out. A neighbor bought a Rural King tractor early spring this year and loves it with no issues. It's worked hard to.

@rickb8808
@rickb8808 3 года назад
@Patrick Elliott It's a 2015. New, hard to start. Faulty injection pump. Dealer had it three weeks. 45 hours, developed diesel knock. Tech bled air from fuel system. Didn't help. Took to dealer. Had 3 weeks. Got it back and 10 hours later while checking oil before use it was very high. Smelled like fuel. Back to dealer for 5 days. Injector issue and they changed oil & filters free. Still is hard to start. Dealer can't duplicate the problem ? Blew out 3 lift cylinder's on backhoe. Just took backhoe attachment to dealer. Had it 1 week 1st, 1 week 2nd, 3 weeks last. 100 hours developed electrical issues. "Tractor is pole building kept". They fixed it on site. Tech seemed to know exact problem. Took 3 days to get harness. Intermittent hydraulic issues. Filters constantly changed and system bled. Using the loader will sometimes stall the motor. 140 hours got transmission code. They changed something and it's been OK. Had 2 weeks for that. Right real wheel bearing seized. Dealer had it 5 weeks for that. The fuel delivery system and hydraulic systems have been consistently problematic. There is constant adjustment of hoses that work loose. Quality is just not there. I got the 60 month Power Guard warranty when I bought it which is up. Time to say goodbye.

@garymeyer3294 3 года назад
Be careful with the New Holland. They're made by LS which have had more than the usual problems with their DPF systems according to other you tubers. Also, I've heard Rural King can't fix their tractors in house and has to send them off for major repairs.

Living in Colorado especially you do need to be prepared for all types of snow removal and moving ,heck I was out there inJune years ago running around in shorts and T shirt and we got caught in a Snowstorm outside Denver that dumped about 6 inches really fast , for the most part most of the Kiotti owners seem to be pretty happy with their tractors overall I like their pricing FYI on your bucket you should keep a eye on local Craigslist for used Buckets I’ve seen lots of Skidsteer buckets for sale very inexpensively that may be a good option look in both Heavy Equipment and Farm categories

Thanks for your video, I found it searching for Kioti reviews. I'm trying to decide between the 2510 or the 3510. I have 14 acres in East Texas that I'm building a small RV park on and have been asking around about tractors. I'm wanting the frontloader and backhoe as well as a box blade and brush hog. Someone mentioned to me that the emissions are an issue so he said to buy the CK2510 vs the CK3510. I'm a new tractor person so am hoping for your suggestions on this. Will the 10 hp make that much of a difference and should I be worried about the emissions? Appreciate your experience and guidance. Thanks, Jeff
@ColoradoMountainLiving
@ColoradoMountainLiving 2 года назад
Dont think emissions are a big deal. We have to do the regen process occasionally, but it's really easy, you just let it do it's thing. we have over 600 hours on ours, but the issues we've had have been related to computer programing issues. Our service dealer said they rarely see Kiotis come in for maintenance issues. I'd go with the larger 3510 , since I think it comes with the larger backhoe bucket. Good luck- you'll be happy with it!!

Question: Have you guys given any consideration to setting 10 foot poles with red flags along the edges of the road etc. so you can see where you need to plow to and where you can dump snow when the snow is deep and the visibility is poor? Um... now before the snow starts in earnest?

I compared the SE version of the CK3510 with a Kubota LX3310 and L3560 last weekend because the Kioti essentially splits the difference between those two Kubotas in power, lifting, size, etc. Comparably equipped with mid PTO, 3rd function, draft and position control, the LX3310 was $30,149, the L3560 was $37,046, so an average of $33,598. The Kioti was $27,799. I think the Kioti will require more maintenance and will have enough additional depreciate to negate the lower purchase price. Plus, Kioti putting the brakes on the same side as a split pedal is not a good layout on the HST models. What you save buying cheaper gets eaten up by maintenance and depreciation.

How much do these tear up/rut the yard or grass turf in general? I was thinking about getting one, but I have about 6-7 acres of grass yard. And also using it up around the house for mulch, I was concerned that it might be too big of a machine for those jobs. Thanks
@ColoradoMountainLiving
@ColoradoMountainLiving 3 года назад
It will depend on how dry or wet your turf is. You will get ruts of you use on wet soil. It will also tear up the grass and leave dirt if used on very dry soil. Perhaps a lighter weight/smaller machine might be better for your needs. But it does tear up the grass. Since it's mostly dry conditions for us, we end up with a lot of exposed dusty dirt , if you drive over an area multiple times in a span of days.

The 35 hp has worked out well. i would not have gotten the 25 hp. I do a lot of backhoe and loader work lifting dirt, logs, huge rocks, gravel, unloading materials with the forks. The backhoe is also good just for ballast when the loader is picking up something heavy. We also have a 6' x 2' snowblower which needs the hp. The only thing, which is comfort related, would be a cab.

Often does it go through the regen process? Can you use during the process? How economical is it on diesel fuel? Good review. Thanks!
@ColoradoMountainLiving
@ColoradoMountainLiving 3 года назад
Not very often; like once every few months. You cannot use it during the cycle; which can last 30 minutes. Hard to answer the question about fuel economy, I suppose it's dependent on the type of use.Also DON"T SKIP the REGEN Process!!
@hyattfamilyfarmtractoradve6066
@hyattfamilyfarmtractoradve6066 3 года назад
Operate at around 2k rpm and you will regen less often.
@garymeyer3294
@garymeyer3294 3 года назад
Operate it at 2400 rpm ALWAYS after warming it. This is a modern tractor and this will not hurt it. It works most efficiently at that speed. It will regen itself automatically in less than 5 minutes. Do NOT stop running it! This the proper procedure. You only have to stop and regen manually if the dash light is blinking. It probably won't even need a manual regen if you operate at 2400 rpm (the PTO speed mark on your tach). Speaking from experience on a CK4010SE. The owners manual states the computer will need to be reset if you don't run it at high rpm which reduces soot and if you don't pay attention to the warning lights and regen properly.
@fanjet737
@fanjet737 3 года назад
My 2016 CK3510H with 250 hours uses maybe just over 1/2 gallon diesel per hour. I run it 2300-2400 RPMs, great for engine and hydraulic pump. Auto Regen has cycled maybe three or four times snce new. Per the manual, when the regen light comes on, set idle, parking brake, and shift to neutral. Walk away. Takes about 5-8 minutes then the light goes out. Go back to work. No issues other than preventative maintenance. Forks, box blade (with hydraulic top n tilt), loader (have Piranha Tooth Bar on bucket for hard or rocky soil, saves front bucket edge) and backhoe, each all used all the time. Post hole digger next on the list!

@@ColoradoMountainLiving Sounds about right. Really cold starts cause a lot of soot to build up in the cat. Regen is supposed to counteract that, but if it fails, the computer will go into limp mode. Did the shop suggest using a radiator cover during low temperatures?

I saw the CK3510HST today but did not pull the trigger. I need a trailer, brush hog, loader and box blade which made my total $29,450 before Tax, Insurance and assembly fee.. The backhoe is nice just not sure how this small tractor will due so didn't bother asking for the price on it.. I will continue to do research before buying. If you had it to do over wud u get a cab? I’m thinking you have to remove the backhoe frame and add a snow blower frame if you buy a front snowblower. Kiote shud have engineered a multi frame that can stay on and not impede on the loader or other attachments. Just saying!
@ColoradoMountainLiving
@ColoradoMountainLiving 3 года назад
It pretty much comes down to cost. adding a cab and capabilities for front PTO makes the machine price go up to $10K or more. so it made more sense for us to keep the costs lower. We'll see after this winter if the opinion changes.
