Gentlemen, never take your Mary for granted. One day she may not be there for you anymore and your whole world will be turned upside down and inside out. No matter what you do or how much love you still have for her she may not come back. You'll be left with an empty hunger in the pit of your stomach, and nothing can quell it. I lost my Mary 3 months ago, her name was Ashley. I still love her, we had 6 long beautiful years.
If there's anyone out there regretting an old high school break up (or letting your high school crush slipping away), this goes into the deepest of your heart. Specially, the 'how could I've been so blind part' really caught me.
My name is Mary. Mary Jane . I found my mate at the age of 12. He was not interested in a baby. I persisted, and pretty much stalked him. We have just celebrated our 39th year wedding anniversary. THANK GOD, he was not blind to see MARY!
This song is so amazing. Really gets to me because my Mary was Mary. She was my first love, didn't know enough in this world to recognize how amazing she was. Now I'm older and wiser in the ways of the world, and missing the shit outta her.
This song is so true. As guys we go through so many different girls trying to figure out what we like the best. But when we look back at all the crazy/fun/loving/enjoyable girls we've dated we realize one of them was THE one. My Mary was Kelly. I hear she's doing good.
It’s cause his label never released it as an actual single. A single is 1-4 songs off an album, that get sent to Radio/Streaming Services/Sold as a Single to promote the album, before its release. There’s always 1-2 songs, released as singles before the album. This is to promote it. Then the label will release another 1-2 more singles, after the album is released to generate more Sales/Streams after the album has been out a while.
Because it reminds women that not every type of woman is the marriage kind. It hurts a lot of feelings. More women than ever are 30+ without a husband or kids. And while they say they are happy, prescription drugs and wine sales say otherwise. A song that reminds women that men judge women isn't going to do that well.
Kip Moore deserves to go straight to the TOP of the charts...How about we all keep voting for him at GAC's Top 20 and request him at your local country channel. We all know that he is AMAZING but lets help get his music and dream out there!!!
The way I say country is my roots and I love country regardless of what anyone says and kip Moore is a staple of country for me and this song I feel like is a true story for kip and many more
This is one of the most underrated songs I've ever heard. This song deserves more love. But it's his first single, and I understand. There is a bright future though.
I was " the girl next door" only my husband was not blind at all. He was tall, dark and handsome, and he still is 42 years later. America we hit you from South Africa in August to catch Kip Moore. ( My heart also Kips a beat).
A no known radio station played this song one weekend and Kip was talking about the backstory and the song told a story and it turned out to be one of the best!
Last night i showed this video to my dad, My mom's name is Mary and she even used to look like the Mary in this video. The fringed vest I used to wear for holloween. They have been together for over 30 years. My dad told me the first time he met my mom he knew he was going to marry her, but he waited a year to ask her out. He almost teared up watching this last night, I told him it was my moms song. My mom always has been the marrying kind.
My Aunts name is Mary. My Uncle almost lost her cause of him not realizing that she was the marrying kind. But he realized it, thankfully... And I love this song!! :)
Why is this guy not more popular his voice kicks ass as good as Jason aldean I think and 10 people are missing the majority of their brains like if you agree!
I appreciate how the girls in this video are portrayed as fresh and sexy and not skanky. I hope he maintains this kind of class and integrity in the portrayal of women in his future videos. Do you hear me Kip???
Maybe your not looking in the right places... You never know, she might be right in front of you and you don't even know it :) Don't give up! We're out there!
You know what I've come to know, in my short 18 years. It isn't always your fault that she got away. You don't have to live in the dumps wishing you had this beautiful perfect woman back. She might have been perfect, but she wasn't perfect for you. You'll find someone else down the road who will make you happier, but you have to realize that the new woman will never be Mary. Hold her some place special, but let someone else into your heart.
I'm a married man now, so i guess i eventually got it right. But this song captures a thing i've thought about many times. My names are Juette and April, Jessie and maybe even Kris. It's hard being dumb, sometimes.
Damn this is a good song. I didn't realize a woman was the marrying kind until i didn't have her in my life, but i got her back and we have been married for almost two years. Hannah is the marrying kind for me. I love you so much baby
Just saw him at the Brantley Gilbert concert. I heard "somethin' about a truck" before but never knew who it was by till tonight. he performed this song at the concert and I really liked it. he did a good job on stage. I can't wait to hear more from Kip.
An ex boyfriend saw me at the store few weeks ago and he run into me and said you were the marrying kind but I was too stupid and blind I know it a the time he told me about this song now I love the song
my name's Mary and all people ever see me as is "the girl they bring home to mama" aka the girl they'll call when they're 30. Feels good to know someone loves me enough to write a song about me. Tehe
Hahaha..I saw his yesterday with Eric Paslay. They were amazing I love them both!!!!! They sing with such power yet when you talk to them they have a sweet voice ughh love the both!!
Almost lost it when i heard this song....is a snapshot of me....my name is Tammy i was a teacher and my daddy was a preacher...LMBO thanks for this song its awesome
FYI my daughter, oldest is a corporate pilot who takes her boss to Costa Rico often. I have not been there. I think mostly at high class resorts…and then they spend time in the villages. I don’t need resorts…..just the bare necessities….
My name is Mary and I don't think many guys listen to this song to know that I am the marrying kind, what a shame. But I love this song and I'll play to anyone who don't believe that women can be the marrying kind
