Kippers For Breakfast, At The Seaside

Fish breakfast at the seaside, smoked kippers to be exact. With a couple of rounds of bread and butter thrown in for good measure. Nearly lost it to a roaming dog, but I managed to defend breakfast.
Sea kale and red valerian are blooming lovely to.

Nice video that. Those Kippers are tasty, the bones can be a bit of a nuisance.

Cheers Christopher. Yeah the bones are a nuisance but for the most part they’re quite soft. Bread and butter helps.

Can’t beat kippers for breakfast, I prefer mine with brown bread and butter and I agree those little bones can be a right pain😂😂 Just to let you know, although there is plenty of sea kale on Southsea beach, it’s a rare plant and is protected, and it’s illegal to pick or otherwise interfere with it without the landowners permission and I doubt you would get it from the Council😂😂😂 Great video as always Rob much appreciated 👍

That was so relaxing - for us anyways. I didn't know you needed to cook smoked kippers. I always get them in the can, rinse the brine off and eat them with bread and butter too. I pictured you snipping open the top and a seagull swooping down for a kipper breakfast. Nice to see the seashore and plants. Thanks a lot. We don't get to the seashore in Vermont.

Thank you Cynthia. You’re right I don’t think you need to cook smoked kippers. These ones were a boil in the bag with the melted butter. I’m glad you liked the video.

@@cynthiawigington1236 I bought the fish in Asda. Which is basically Walmart, who own Asda. I’m pretty sure I bought the cap in there too.
