Andy Roddick released a video on his new racket search. He ended up with the Shift, too. For someone that's retired, he sure hits really hard and serves even harder.
Kira, you don't need a power racquet like a Pure Drive. You are about a half second late on just about every shot with the Extremes. You need to get your racquet back earlier so your footwork will be ready faster. Plus you need to step into your shots. A little too flat footed. You will see how much more power and control you get just by making that small improvement. The Extreme Pro shines at the net and on serves. It volleys very well with nice touch. Also consider the Yonex V-Core... either the 100 or 98.
Maybe my eyes are going bad, but Kira hit at a whole other level with the Extreme Pro. However, I stick by my suggestions in the previous video. Wilson Ultra 100L or UL V4.
@@zuh1902 According to the previous video, she was complaining about the heavy weight and stiffness of the Pure Drive and what it was doing to her arm. Whether she "likes" it or not, lighter weight and more flexible would do her good. Unfortunately, many players go with what they like rather than what is best for their game. The ball and the score do not care what the player likes.
@@squib311 she was complaining about the stiffness, not weight. Also the light and UL version are stiffer than the regular Ultra. So thats going in the wrong direction. As a rec player, we play to enough the game and the feel of the ball hitting the racket, not necessary the score. However, light rackets leave player vulnerable when opponents hit heavy. So you're totally contradicting yourself
