FlipFlapper9o11 That’s what I thought. Not that she would have the free win phase, but that Chugga thought that. I remember my first time getting to the true final phase I was 3 hits before death, had no abilities, and was freaking out because of those said things!
"Do I have to do the Hypernova section?" "Pleasedon'ttellmeIhavetodotheHypernovasection,thoughitwouldbeprettysatisfyingtojustshootyourownlaserbackatyourightaboutnow... Oh no, I do have to do the Hypernova section, don't I... It's just press B to win, OK? Just press B to win... unless they changed up her attacks... uh- OH MY- " *"THERE'S ANOTHER PHASE?!"*
Emile: "Can we just get to the part where I suck up your laser with hupernova and press b to win" Everybody who's beat this version of the True Arena: "Oh my sweet summer child"
Mimaneneko imagine there are children that beat these things That was me torturing myself for 2 months How gard was it? I dont know. Ask the Guys who were not non-stop in stone
Isn't it 2 for the Computer, like 5 for the Ark, 1 stupid long phase for the Arks true form and finally 2 phases for the Secret End Boss? So yeah 10 Phases. Which all take place after Haltman's 3 phase fight, Dark Matter and Sectonia back to back as well as Galacta Knight.
@@MrSolomonGaming After Haltmann it's Dark Matter, Sectonia, Galacta Knight, Star Dream (computer), Access Ark, Access Ark in (spoilers) Nova form, and then the heart of Nova. Seven phases.
@@premonitiative Even then heart of Star Dream has more than one phase. One where you take down the security. One where it attacks you and technically once it dies it has a wave attack that I believe insta-kills if you dont dodge it. Even Archer's perfect guard will not work.
@Michael Ragusa The problem is that there's so many of them and you have no breaks for all of it, and barely any healing items. I thought the last phase would be way harder than it actually was.
30:08 I feel like people forget *why* the true arena has to be so hard. This is where some of the darkest, scariest, and saddest stuff in the series is. A lot of kids would probably be disturbed by Marx Soul, or Haltmann’s screams. That’s why it’s locked behind a difficultly barrier no kid will have the patience to get through. And that’s why I love the true arena. It’s literally one big child proof in a series that’s for kids.
Ultrapika btw, he said this was a special 3DS that has a recording mod on it, which means if the circle pad dies, he is stuck taunting every time he plays smash 4 on this ds
@@alexanderkennedy4884 While it is a modded 3ds i dont think either katsukitty chips or loopys chips make the circle pad unserviceable. Edit: im referring to servicing by whoever owns the 3ds or a 3rd party company i dont think nintendo would repair a capture card 3ds.
Yeah, for some reason they really like having bosses like these use attacks from similar bosses in the previous games. The final boss of Soul Melter EX in Star Allies applies this liberally, borrowing attacks from a ton of prior final bosses and Soul bosses in addition to its own unique attacks.
"Cheap" means "easy to win with", not "extremely powerful". SSU Hammer isn't cheap because of lack of range forcing you to get close-quarters with each boss, meaning you have to learn and dodge every attack. An example of cheap is Rock, because it makes what the boss does irrelevant and you don't have to worry about dodging attacks. There's also Plasma, because you can use powerful attacks without ever having to get close to your opponent.
He’s not joking with the cheese strats from Wheel. For the longest time, Beetle was what held my True Arena record, then I tried Wheel for a joke and ended up beating my best Beetle time by over a minute.
Really? I guess it really depends on how well you do on Dark MN and Sectonia's Soul. If you kept Fire to the finale bit that would've shaved a lot of time.
Not going to argue with him I believe him when he said his circle pad fell off. I know that feeling when I played Smash Bros 3DS. Fell right off and felt brutal on my thumb.
It's just shocks me to hear Emile say that on his channel! Over on TRG, I'm use to it, but here. Emile: "BOOOOOOM, BITCH!" Me: *surprises Pikachu face, but bursts into laughter immediately after*
“I have leeched off and possessed countless forms. Which one was my real one? I can’t remember any longer. A voice calls out to me, but I can no longer hear it. Before the break of dawn, I will have my eternal rest.” Queen Sectonia in the Japanese text. Makes you feel sorry for her and Taranza.
Ok, but this feels preventable. Taranza kinda fucked up on that one by bringing sectonia the mirror. Especially since he would have to fight to get it since it's being protected by shadow kirby. Despite the warnings against taking the mirror, dumbass nicked it and basically killed his buddy
Here’s my version: “While I’ve fed off countless forms, I really cannot remember which one was my true form. Where’s the voice that was going to help me? It’s gone completely quiet. Before the sunrise is about to start, please give me my eternal beauty rest.” Creepy, huh? So, Soul of Sectonia is saying that she really needs her eternal beauty rest so that she can live at peace, and that “help” is in the form of defeating her.
“She’ll never find me up here” Famous last words Edit: fun fact about Sectonia, her true form (which can be seen in Easter eggs in Robobot and star allies) is actually very similar to Taranza in appearance.
Another fun fact, there's armor themed after Sectonia in Super Kirby Clash, and the description for it says that it "supposedly resembles an associate of hers from before she attained her great beauty." This implies that her wasp form was attained by parasitically taking control of another Floralian like how she did with the dreamstalk.
@@Gnarfledarf yes, they were, prior to the events of Kirby triple deluxe taranza and sectonia were "good friends" but in all honesty they were (for lack of a better word that I can't think of right now) timid lovers
The point of archer is to use the fully charged shot (it charges quickly if u don’t move it until fully charged) shoot it at the boss.. and become invincible when she is attacking.. Not to peek shoot because peek shooting is too low
@@gamemasterpzm1597 the esp power up it has a teleporting move that give Kirby complete protection from all attacks. Even Star Dream soul Os last ditch effort attack. That's how I beat it.
@@blanca-borb A Gilligan cut, to put it simply, is when a character mentions something, usually hoping it won't happen or mentioning that they'll never do something, only for the camera to cut to that thing happening. I.e. "I'll never lose to Paintra!" *Immediately dies to Paintra.*
24:20 and here we see the rarest form of Chuggaa. This specimen has put aside its standard family friendly motive, and unleashes its cry of pure joy. Tune in to tomorrow’s episode of “The Wild Chuggaa” and find out what’s in store next time
THE REASON ARCHER ISN'T WORKING OUT FOR YOU IS CAUSE YOU AREN'T DOING IT CORRECTLY. You're supposed to stay camoflauged, and then in the grace periods, use the FULLY CHARGED SHOT.
Even though the laser is one of the most memorable parts of the this entire LP, I also love him commentating his archer cheese strat during Dark Meta Knight's Revenge. Particularly 15:47 onwards.
43:05 "the fire is her most powerful attack that i am aware of" yeah but what you don't know is that her fire and acid attacks are references to attacks used by Drawcia Soul and Marx Soul
Almost all of her attacks reference or at least resemble previous bosses attacks: The cutter ability is lifted straight from Marx, The beam attacks resemble those of Magolor, even the upgraded vine attacks resemble those used by Marx soul and of course the two attacks you mentioned. The only truly original attack is her summoning mooks.
Random fact #25: London is the only city that has hosted three Olympic Games, in 1908, 1948 and 2012. The 1944 Olympics were to be hosted in London, but were canceled due to WWII.
Since you never got Pyribbit DX, here it is for everyone who is curious: He quenches his thirst with boiling magma and snacks on molten lava rocks. The most unforgiving environments are comforting for Pyribbit.
"She'll never find me up here!" Sectonia: Where is that pink brat?! Flower: Hey, look a little bit upwards. Sectonia: Oh, thanks. Chuggaconroy: *OH AH NO, SHE DID-*
@@nascour5991 it doesn't actually spoil anything, the real spoilers is in the boss fight itself and the meaning, and Marx soul has been around for quite awhile, and is basically just a pumped up version of the final boss from the game it remade which is even older
“As long as I dont fall into the stupid pit for the fifteenth time...” Me: *looks at time left in the video. Me: he’s gonna do that isn’t he? Edit: surprisingly he didn’t in that run! He died stupider!
“It’s not just white hot, It’s blue hot, which isn’t as hot white hot would be actually” Uh... Not exactly? With the same fuel, blue flames are usually hotter than most other flames, and by a large margin. There can of course be flames that are naturally blue though, notably natural gas.
命運捉弄 wasn’t expecting someone going to correct him. I used to go to online college for biochem and one of the many things I had learned was that blue flame is hotter than white. I think white flames are 1200-1400 Celsius whereas blue is 1400-1700 Celsius. Not positive but had that memorized in the past
White-hot is most commonly used to refer to metallic white flames. I don’t know if the same word is used to refer to ultraviolet or colourless flames, but I’d wager that the former is more well known and used more often.
20:33: “We’re gonna have 1 and a half healthbars roughly going into Soul of Sectonia. This is the best chance yet! AS LONG AS I DON’T FALL INTO A STUPID BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR LIKE THE FIFTEENTH TIME!!”
Fairy Wolf Oh I didn’t know Kirby was doing a collaboration/ joined the fight in Fortnite. If so then, it’s a good thing they never unvaulted the Zapatron, but then again, the Minigun is still in the game, so if Kirby inhales one of those it’s basically gonna lead to Fortnite being owned by HAL Laboratories.
What TAS Speedruns look like: A character moving at their top speed with advanced techniques no human could pull off. Either beats bosses faster than usual or skips them entirely. What TAS speedruns feel like: 30:50
The only people more annoying than those who say "Kirby is for kids" are those who say "Kirby is super badass edgy there's blood in some games for kids my ass I'm so mature for playing Kribiry because lore and I watch Rick and Morety and have infinity IQ".
Chuggaa, there’s official artwork of queen sectonia before she was corrupted from the mirror. It’s a picture from Star Allies. Please add that to the bonus video. Also Taranza is holding a rose in honor of sectonia in the Kirby fighters series
“They may not be terribly interesting compared to what we got the first time” Paintra being sisters with Drawcia and the painter may have been Adeline seeing as she is the only one that could bring paintings to life and could have remorse for bring them to life. Sectonia being corrupted by the mirror and no longer can remember her true form and no longer being able to hear Taranza in her final phase. Not to say they are all like that but that seems interesting to me (No hate man just my opinion) Thanks Meteorz
@@kira_the_sniper6376 For some reason, Emile seems to think that guarding is only valuable when it completely nulls damage. That's dumb. You should still guard to take lesser/chip damage instead of not guarding and taking full damage.
Something about seeing Chugga being bullied by countless attempts make me excited for if or when he plays through Robobot. BTW, please play-through that game, it is probably my favorite Kirby game. It takes the flaw you had of the final world Being bland and fixes it. Also did anyone notice at the end when he said “imma have a zit on my face for the rest of the night but it will was worth it.”
9:20 “I chose willingly to not get all the way to the end of The True Arena in all of my preparation minutes. I just know this thing is called the Soul of Sectonia and I am definitely afraid of it. Let’s try. Let’s see if we can make a miracle!”
9:40 *Sectonia’s Flowers eat the Miracle Fruits* “Huh?” *Flowered Queen Sectonia rises up and gains the power* “I repeat, huh?” *She is now reborn as Soul of Sectonia* “This was before Shadow-There is one more final challenge as we saw this form of her in the Dedede credits! That’s the ONE thing in the credits that we haven’t seen.”
A couple notes: -Seeing Emile having no idea about Sectonia Soul gave me life. --No, Sectonia is NOT a bee. She's a monarch butterfly(emphasis on the monarch part).- -About the whole nobody beats Jon thing, my best time is 13:48.20. -And don't worry Emile, Planet Robobot's True Arena is even harder! EDIT: I think I was wrong about Sectonia being a butterfly(I don't remember where I got that from). It seems she might be either a bee or a wasp, but neither one is confirmed. I for one am leaning towards wasp, because she still doesn't really look like a bee to me.
@@kickerguy right now I'm playing PR and trying to finish Meta Knightmare Returns so I can unlock the True Arena. I've seen speedruns and have an idea on what to do but I still don't know how well I'll do. I'll report back. UPDATE: I beat the True Arena after half a week of grinding.
@@averagechannelname9969 For me it was Ice Dragon and his stupid running attack. You can actually stand inside Coily Rattler due to his weird hitbox and keep doing hammer flips/double giant swings to kill him very quickly.
@@premonitiative it was my first true arena and I had chosen mirror. Ice Dragon was obliterated due to having projectiles while Coily Rattler preferred a more physical approach. Then I switched to Archer
17:55 “would you even kill a wok to defeat us” Well someone seems to be very excited for definitive edition with all the xenoblade reference in this series
27:35 the fact that he didn't say anything when he lost plus that one day transition, make's me believe that he was so angry, we weren't allowed to see it
I'm gonna throw out my two cents about this mode: Kirby games are generally regarded as very easy games, but the True Arena is the slap that everyone gets to see just how hard Kirby can be. In the True Arena, and to a lesser extent the regular Arena as well, the game changes from a platformer to a platform fighter. And as such, I give my friends who struggle with this mode the same advice I give them when starting to play the best platform fighting game out there: Smash. I tell them to learn how to play with ONE character, or in Kirby's case, one power. Of course, some are better to start out with than others. For example, I'd never tell a Smash newbie to start out by learning how to play Pac-Man or Ryu. I'd tell them to start with one of the simpler characters, like Mario or Captain Falcon (not to say they can't BE complicated, but to a newbie, they're relatively simple). In the same way, I tell people approaching the True Arena to learn it with a single, simpler power. That's why so many people gravitate toward Hammer, because it combines its simplicity with high attack power. Other simpler powers I'd recommend include Cutter, Bomb, and Archer. Now I'm gonna tell you what NOT to do, because this is what I did for my first True Arena experience: that of Return to Dreamland. See, coincidentally, I got into the Kirby series thanks to the TRG Let's Play of that game years ago. And what tactic made an impression on me? ProtonJon's Fighter Kirby (which basically consisted of uppercut > down kick) So what did I do with that information? I used it, along with spamming Hadokens and aerial kicks to brute force my way through the True Arena. And it took me...probably a week, I think? Yeah, the ironically named Fighter ability was probably one of the WORST to take into the True Arena. I mean, I remember how to use it well, and I've used it to beat every True Arena since, but I would NOT recommend it to any newcomer. That's not to say certain powers don't break the True Arena. Hammer has been broken since Kirby Super Star, Tornado is one of the best boss killers in Squeak Squad, and we've all seen videos out there of people using Stone to cheese these modes. But if you're looking to go through the True Arena legit like Emile did in this video, then do what I've said here.
45:15 Sorry Chugga but I got to correct you a little on that enemy. Uja is a swarm of insects that takes on the form of a giant hand and a sword. The Pixels you see on the sprite are just bugs that aren't making up the shape. Tho I do agree that they probably made this enemy just so they could reuse master hand sprite from Amazing Mirror, I just wanted to point out that the enemy is a little more complex then a reuse sprite. P.S Great job on beating The True Arena. Just another thing you can add to your list of game victories and just one step towards to your conquest to conquer all Nintendo games lol.
You were right about the bee not being Queen Sectonia's true form. A Miiverse post, Robobot, and Star Allies confirmed she used to look like a girl Taranza. Heck, Team Kirby Clash and Star Allies show Taranza is depressed and still misses her. Dark, isn't it?
You can tell that chuggaa was happy to beat that when you can hear him talking in the end-card. Also a little thing to note: there is another pause screen description for Soul of Sectonia. The first one is different then the one he saw.
AKA: I hope you don't mind abusing stone to see the LORE and 100% your first time through. Also gonna humble brag here, for some reason I recall remembering triple deluxe's true arena wasn't that bad, or at least middle of the road between ultra and robobot's pain, returns being about the same as this (I wanna say magolor soul was easier though) maybe a few more enemies to wear you down, and star allies being easily breakable And cause we didn't get the lore bits on the dededetour, I love how krakco is more hard confirmed to be living solely to defeat Kirby Oh right I forgot the subtle ripple star remix here based on the ultra mix. One thing I slightly dislike is how DMK for Kirby (and galacta knight in general for returns) can't be regularly fought with a sword without going for arena, I always love getting in swordights with the knights Oh my god chugga's discovery of the power of archer cheese is beautiful Also sectonia's pause lore gets really sad in true arena CURSE YOU TRIPLE DELUXE BOSS PITS "Do I have to do the hypernova section?" Famous last words Anyway, soul of sectonia, interesting to see her return closer to marx after magolors soul was more just beefed up magolor second phase. And she even brings in moves from drawcia's soul that marx didn't have
Lore as in Lor starcutter or lore as in story? Cause stone can get u both. Lor starcutter is is a silver transformation for stone in this game so I could believe either or
Magolor soul is way easier than any other soul boss. Since he’s scripted (nearly, he has a selection of attacks to use after each attack, memorise them and your on victory road) he is way easy. Tornadoe nullifies any chances of losing (Probably why they got rid of it in newer games).
@@adomali87yearsago.71 magalor soul is not way easier. As someone who has beaten the true arena of that game and this game. I'd say soul of sectonia is easier.she has far fewer attacks rai that helps. As for magalor. Yeah sure he is scripted but sometimes it's really hard to dodge in time. It took me 6 hours to beat that true arena.only 1 attempt was tornado. I hadn't known how busted it was till too late
@@adomali87yearsago.71 I tried with hammer fighter and leaf for around 5 and a half hours with my little sister helping out. I wasnt till the last attempt we decided to use tornado. In which i never stopped attacking
5:35 This is based on the color of Landia EX from Return to Dreamland's Extra mode/True Arena. All these attempts were a lot of fun. I was dying the entire Soul of Sectonia fight when you didn't know about the final phase. It was really fun seeing you get that for the first time. 38:13 And now the final lore for Sectonia and Taranza has been show. They were friends, Taranza even possibly loving her. She was a benevolent ruler at one point, but after getting the Mirror, she became vain and corrupt, changing her form to the wasp-like one we know her as. Taranza was either enchanted or blinded by his feelings for her that he did her bidding even though he wasn't truly evil, until his last failure caused her to attack him, where he finally decided that she had to be put down. While the True Arenas aren't necessarily canon, Soul of Sectonia talking about how she has forgotten everything, and her original form basically wants to be destroyed as well, it's a very tragic story. It's why I like Taranza and Sectonia so much. They are fascinating characters, for such a simplistic series as Kirby. While a lot of characters do have implied backstories or mysteries, these two were the first ones where they actually crafted and talked about their story, be it in the game, or in developer comments, and future games. It's really sad that Sectonia is kinda a one and done character, as while I would love to see more with her, bringing her back would just make it a cop out. Though I wouldn't be too sad to see Taranza get some happiness. 41:40 It's the attack from Canvas Curse's Final boss that they constantly bring back!!! It was brought back to a degree in Super Star Ultra and Robobot, it was brought back verbatim in Return to Dreamland and Star Allies. 44:24 Congratulations!!! I've said these thoughts so many times, but thanks again for showing more people this game. This was a wonder to behold. Lots of fun, even when you were using.... less than optimal strats for some of the bosses, though that final True Arena run was marvelously done. I tried to refrain from talking about that (aside from when you asked about Parasol), but even then, you still did really well. Can't wait for anything extra and for Kirby Fighters when you get to it.
@@MrSailing101 I know, but still, hammer flip really does have gigatons of damage. I'm not denying archer has good damage or range, it's just that I used hammer and hammer flip did absolute gigatons of damage. Fun fact about hammer flip actually: if you use hammer flip facing away from your target, it will do a bit of continuous damage even before you let loose the giant swing. I don't really see many people doing that when using hammer.
@@goombafang3210 let me sum it up. In Kirby fighters, archer is more heavily nerfed than hammer. Archer has more Raw Dps, kills bosses faster, and has better range and invulnerability than hammer.
@@MrSailing101 yeah, don't worry I get that. I'm just saying we all have our preferences, hell, I even took emile's advice saying to use leaf cuz I was curious about it, and it actually works!
There was something so great about seeing Chugga do something completely blind. Would be cool if we got to see more blind things like these in the future.
Emile: Im gonna heal up right now just in case she has a big f u attack. I understand your concern, but you should have it for robobot! AKA for those who don't know look further down... Robobot true arena final boss (final form) after you beat him, he pulls a final desprate shockwave attack that goes across the screen and not only does he do it 3 TIMES, it goes through invincible abilites like stone!!! I know this from experience. (It might also one shot I dont know)
However, it cannot go through intangibility, ie ESP's Teleportation, but it requires good timing. Considering that the red rings of death basically one-shot if not at full health, which is a given considering that this is in a True Arena, it's better to dodge them entirely than risk a Teleport. Also, the rings don't OHKO, but they do an INSANE amount of damage, basically reducing your health to JUST a sliver at full HP, but they might as well be considered OHKOs.
13:29 Wow, yours too? My 3DS circle pad had its rubber thing detached, too! ...But, yeah, idk how to properly reattach it without accidentally ruining my system ^^;
Don’t feel dirty about using archer, that’s the only way I won... And I lost my ability in the final phase so like you said in Xenoblade against blizzard belgazas, I OVERCAME THE BLIZZARD.
"Sounds like we're on a game show!" now I'm imagining an episode of Jeopardy where Taranza, Marx, and Magolor are the contestants. (Dedede takes the role of Alex Trebek for some reason in this mental image, too.)
7:46 Nope, the model of his sword was actually overlapping Kirby's model. You just didn't space properly. 8:08 Wait, he actually hit you without you touching his sword... *The heck?!* 15:24 Nope, that was his crotch.
