I've gotten a Kirby Heritage from a thrift for $35 USD. They had three other Kirby models, the G3, Ultimate G Diamond Edition and the Tradition. The G3 and Ultimate G Diamond Edition had attachments while the Tradition had its original blue hose and the Heritage didn't. I currently own a G4, two Ultimate G's and the Heritage that I got.
@@KirbyEnthusiast It is! I just replaced the bag adapter on my Heritage Turbo with the adapter from the Heritage II/Legend which is also used for the G3 to use HEPA filter bags. It works great! I didn't have to replace the fill tube and the whole thing just the adapter itself!
Thks for doing this one Dean. Really interested in how the Classic III will continue to do in the battles. My guess --- will reign 'supreme'. :) It did really well in this sand test. My owner's manual for my Classic III really promotes the 'triple cushion vibration' feature. Not sure if any of the other Kirby models have this. Do you know from owner's manuals you may have for the Kirby's you own? Must be some merit to that feature. It has proven itself so far.
Love my classic 3 , but the G3 has a soft spot in my heart as it was the 1st Kirby I demonstrated that made me buy my G4 and no plastic crappy vacuum ever .👍👍
Thanks Buddy , I never use on concrete or wheel outdoors so wheels should stay new . Polish them every few months just to keep dust off. Though I have found a way to stop corrosion spotting overtime , which I will share in a upcoming video 👌👌
Loved the video but just a quick math check on your percentages. If you started with 50g of sand and the classic 3 picked up 33g that would be 66% of the sand not 33%. Don’t shortchange those vintage machines 🙂
I know I meant to double the figure , I was waiting for someone to pick it up . I realised after I had uploaded it . 😂 It had been along day , considering I used to teach maths aswell 😂
Another observation too: The Classic III has something going for it for sure since the CFM was reduced a bit with using the disposable bag with this test and not changing the emptor (If I understood that correctly). Yet, it still came out on top. Question: Why did the CFM reduce by 6 when the disposable bag system was used? Thks Dean.
@@KirbyEnthusiast It's the longer hose and the 90 degree turn on the end. The longer the hose the more restriction there is. And 90 degree turn adds to that.
