Tyrone knew that by getting kirsty involved in the pathetic Terry stuff that she could lose her job. He's had more than enough from Terrys parents, inheriting a house that belonged to HIS parents.
Kirsty obviously was unhappy of being demoted like that and I think that's why she lashed out at Tyrone because she was a woman who was going ahead of her career and Tyrone must have pursuaded her into doing something that was against police policies.
