Kishore is the greatest male vocalist that ever came out of Hindustan. He was amazing and his songs are precious. He makes me very happy. I am from TN and studied Hindi at school and can appreciate the greatness of this man. Too bad, he wasn’t given Bharat Ratna. Thank you Kishore for filling the hearts of so many Indians. Pure joy.

It is said that when he had to sing "Kahike paan banaras walah", he asked someone to actually bring him paan, put it in his mouth, and then started... "Arre bhang ka rang jama hai chakachak... phir lo paan chabaay..." Obviously fantastic body language, obviously fantastic breath control. Not one singer today has that versatility. :)

I am a hard core admirer of Kishore Kumar since Aradhana days. And I am just mad on this number from the day its 45 rpm record came to market. One of my uncle used to buy whatever records released those days irrespective of singers, music directors. Lovely memory of simple livelihood and lot of charming moments. Life had no gadgets but full of affection, love, togetherness.

@@rajarshighosh4821 Don't stoop to his level to belittle a legend. Both are amazing, I prefer Kishore but Rafi was insanely gifted too. His work with Shammi especially is mindblowing. You can't listen to "Badan Pe Sitare" can confine his brilliance to a single genre. That would be dumb.

I donot think that JHANKAR which Kishoreda provides in his golden voice can be found in any singer ..starting humming is the best example.. Salute to such a singer with Natural voice
