I love how people bitch about KISS, They have sold millions of records, toured the world 10 times over, reinvented themselves multiple times, and love every minute of it like a Rock Band should!
I remember seeing this live back in the day and recording it on VHS. I watched it so many times I practically memorized it. Haven't seen it in decades, still remember it all these years later. Thanks for the memories.
He looks awful now. I watched 2 episodes with him and that moron wife of his- ( they're perfect for each other) and I couldn't stomach anymore. Their children are great people though!
Does anyone else thing Paul runs really funny and weird? I've seen him do it in so many videos and he always runs like he's in a play and pretending to be flailing his arms in a panic :P
People can say anything about Kiss, but the ability and brains of Paul and Gene to answer questions and the phrases and Metaphor they use is just amazing, nobody have those sharp, cool, funny, intelligent or sarcastic answers.
I as a male would love to be with Gene because of his legendary tongue and D! But would really enjoy being with Paul for his fabulous body and DAMN good looks!!!!!
Gene & Paul, one of Rock's all time great partnerships. 40+ years and they never change, good on them for doing it their way & letting everyone that didn't like it fall by the wayside.
I always liked the way Shannon Tweed asks him every time it's brought up in front of her "None of those were after you and I got together, right?" It's like she can't do simple math and has no common sense.
The Elder is my husband and I favorite ❤ we wanted to know the end it was awesome too us . Beautiful gorgeous mystical an we had a son an passed this story to him . He loved it he's forty now . Love to all
I remember this show. What happened to that guy hosting. I remember watching this in Los Angeles back a long time ago. So it would have been in 1988 because that is when The Decline Of Western Civilization 2 - The Metal Years came out. But it was also the same time they released Smashes Thrashes & Hits. Thank you so much for uploading this video. It takes me back to the 80's.
He wore a wig around Animalize because he cut his hair for a movie, but his hair grew back and has been real since...He just combs it forward to hide the receding hairline. Look at the picture from his facelift.
When Paul writes about how grateful should Ace and Peter be to be let back in the band during the 90s, he seems to forget that before the reunion, this is the sort of bullshit he and Gene had to put up with to make a buck or two.
Well Ace had a band in the 80's Frehley's comet very unsuccessful so if he was actually successful outside of Kiss he too would get to be on tv shows but since he never did shit outside of being in Kiss and he is begging to be back in the band and another guy plays Ace frehley better than he can game over sorry I do love Ace though facts hurt he should of shut up and played guitar and got off drugs and alcohol he be a rich man now in 2020. 😃
@@heart_of_chrome for sure Heart of chrome great tune on Revenge 😀 Ace stuff so funny he was a drunk and people seem to forget that Paul and Gene kept things going I actually like the 80's stuff Crazy Nights Hot in the shade and Revenge are all great
He also doesn't think his voice is cracked or terrible. He's delusional. Always has been. Not taking away from his TALENT of writing and performing but Paul is the perfect example of, "its not true if you don't believe it"
@@marieh7861 Look at him Since taking make up off early 80s Chin and teeth implants. He even said "I like these teeth . I think I'll keep em awhile "...ha
they always say .................. the same people who saiod you shouldnt wear makeup are the same people that said oh yiour gonna take it off are you crazy ......... Now Cmon, we know better. The people that were around in 1973ish , were not around the band in 1983ish.
Gene was really a good looking man at the time of this interview, before he got the Micky O'Roarke facelift. All that plastic surgeon did was ruin his looks. I bet him & Micky share the same doctor. What a shame
This was such a cringe worthy period for KISS in the publicity arena. They were clearly batting at the bottom of the lineup when it came to rock groups and their viability during the 80's. And nothing hurt more than listening to them exaggerate their bedtime conquests as if they were still 17 years old. The look was bad being they were significantly older than their popular peers. Subsequently there were not that many drinking the Kool-aid during that period. Most nights were spent bowling after concerts back then. And here they go on television and try to sell this ridiculous myth about women fighting over them. It looked silly then. It looks completely ignorant now.
Actually, Nirvana were around already at that time. They released Bleach in 1989 and had demos out in 1987 and 1988. Soundgarden were also around at that time. Don't forget SLAYER had released South of Heaven in 1988 and Seasons in the Abyss in 1990. Megadeth released Rust in Peace in 1990. Pantera released Cowboys From Hell in 1990. Judas Priest released Painkiller in 1990. Iced Earth were around and so was Sepultura and MANY other bands a lot better than Nirvana.
funzjag To be honest I liked KISS so much more before I watched interviews with them. I try to just enjoy the music and concerts....as people Gene and Paul are definitely victims of fame.
It's interesting that he wasn't political correct. He's objectified these woman. But, the fact of the matter is, these women were willing to be of service.
When they took the make-up off, I always said it'll dilute their stage show, the fact that they went back to make-up up proves I was right, it was like Boris Karloff playing Frankenstein in his street clothes, it didn't pack the same punch, Simmons admitted this later
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley originally formed kiss no one would ever try to take this away from them as I hope no one would ever take away the fact that mr. Ace Frehley designed the f****** logo that says kiss and without Ace Frehley and Peter Criss they might as well hang it up because if they're music doesn't tell you if you can't hear it there a f****** different band without thoseGuys
In January 1995 Luciano was found dead at age 57 in his garage at his home in Endicott, a victim of suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning. He reportedly suffered from depression for many years, and he was hospitalized for its treatment in early 1994
I wish there were a tv appearance where he just talks about his songs and collaborations. Instead it's the usual fame nonsense. Mister "charisma"....give me a break.
