I was a good boy at 14 (1974) and got to ho to see them at Long Beach Arena w Peter Frampton's Camel, Todd Rungren, and Wishbone Ash. They were all awesome! But Kiss had the gimmiks: On this song it was the siren and old red firetruck lights (they had a literal cannon for other songs and of course, Gene blowing fire). For a 14 y/o boy, I was absolutely blown away!! This song stuck with me- it was/is just a perfect rock song.
Ker...rist! I remember buying Kiss 'Alive' in 1974 (?) with Firehouse on it when the album first came out in Britain, and it was only available on cassette (remember those?)initially (Casablanca EMI) - am I the oldest person in the world? Thanks for posting.
This was my introduction to Kiss as a 17 year old and I was hooked. Why can't we buy Rock Concert Videos on DVD? It's been 35 years already. What's the hold up?

@Amsterdam74yeah Yup, kind of a loud-mouthed shnook. A lesser singer, for sure. Some of his songs were pretty good but he often had help. Bryan Adams(!) co-wrote 'War Machine'...
gene sucks so much. he's a good bassist but that's it. horrible singer and worse songwriter. he maybe had one good song per album. Paul and Ace rock the world
