Gene is an Entertainer....no he's not Victor Wooten....but he gets paid alot of money for what he does....Entertain !!!!! He knows what his Fans want.....Stop all the gene simmons haters out there !!!!!

Perhaps "Schlock Bass Solo for Gentiles According to the Babylonian Talmud" would've been a more suitable title for this clip.

Lets be honest, musically, the bass solo is basic, but it is the performance itself that makes it good, I would rather watch Gene perform this any day over someone sitting on a stool playing a 'lightning' fast bass solo.

Gene is alone onstage (solo means alone, solitary, one), with his bass. Therefore, it is considered a 'bass solo'.

@DirtyRottenInsult First of all. There should never be a FUCKING BASS solo. Bass just adds background. You may as well crank up bass on your amp for the elec geetar...haahaa bass is like the least important thing in a band sorry. Some say drummer just keeps beat...wayy more...guitar is the soul...vocals make u remember and the bass does what? adds a lil thunder
