There was also a rumor back in the 70s that kiss was part of the devil . Which is obviously false. They are just 4 talented people who knows how to make great mother fucking music 🎶
This song is like being in a storm. Carr with those thundering drums, the guitars with all sort of rain, Paul is the howling wind. This is their best epic.
Carr a legend on drums and never got the recognition he deserved! Paul also had unreal vocals in his prime! So many people that aren't KIZZ fans would not recognize who actually did this song of they heard it!
For a song that's supposed to be a Ballad, this is one of the heaviest power ballads that I've ever heard in my life! Eric Carr was a MUCH BETTER drummer than Peter Criss!!!Also: Vinnie Vincent's heavy guitar playing and songwriting saved Kiss from total destruction!!!
@Abe Garfield What do I care, man? I'm gonna say what I gots ta say... and if I get lynched, well then...I get lynched!😁😁😁 I'm one that's not afraid to speak my mind. I'm an American, and a True Patriot. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!!!
probably the most hauntingly passionate song ever sung. I never get tired of hearing this. Amazing lyrics, stellar vocal performance and great musicianship. One of the best songs ever!
This is easily one of the strongest "Ballads" that ANY GROUP ever wrote! Even though it's supposed to be a Ballad, when you listen to the background music, especially the unbelievably heavy rythym guitar work that's found in this song, I quickly thought of it as being a very heavy song! It's enough to remind one of when love dies. The sadness, shock, and even anger over losing someone that you truly love, can be felt in the riffing chords on this song. It's as if you feel like you're being ripped apart inside. Not a good feeling...but, as the old saying goes:"Stuff happens"!
This is truly a masterpiece. The song conveys so much longing, universal sadness, but at the same time it charges with pleasant energy. People who are listening to this in 2023, I respect your musical taste.
I can beg to differ a billion times... Paul Stanley did the POWER BALLAD, or whatever you call it in 1978.... check is solo album. One of my all time favorites is "Tonight, You Belong to Me".... it haunts me even today, and I literally CRY when I hear it... and not even because I'm thinking of someone, its because THAT SONG, IS THAT DAMN GOOD....
Was going through a divorce. She was cheating on me with someone else. She left and took my little boy. Every time I went to see both of them before she filed for divorce, when I left I would sit in the parking lot of her apartment building and listen to this. I just wanted to keep my family together. It was killing me. This song fit my feelings perfectly.
I'm so sorry. I totally understand what u were feeling. Hope you are doing better. Breakups are sometimes painful, specially if there are children involved. We always ask ourselves what could have been done different so it wouldn't have happened. Time is the best healer.
It will come back full circle to her, and she will get back what she has dished out it always does. The best revenge is to prosper , and live well. Grieve first then move on.
Paul Torrisi I can't verify this but I'm pretty sure that once the guys heard "In the air tonight" by Phil Collins (which came out around the same time) they went "Now that's a cool DRUM sound, hey Eric could you do that?" Eric Carr used drums without resonator skins, which then went through a gate a healthy dollop of reverb and presto, there's that cannon shot drum sound that Phil Collins pioneered.
this is why i'll never get into a relationship, rather feel the pain of being alone than the feeling of your heart being ripped out as you are still alive
A heartbreaking song with amazing vocals of Paul Stanley and also very strong feeling of remain lonely and having to face every lonely day . Very amazing of R.I.P. Eric Carr drums , that ( the song ) is a thing I suppose almost every guy had .
I love the song, i used to be a huge KISS fan. Recently i found the ''source'' of this song. It comes off from Humble Pie's ''I Walk On Gilded Splinters''. Paul Stanley liked Humble Pie very much, so i guess he had listened to that one.
Probably people that think rap is music are going to rock tracks on you tube and giving the thumbs down. Rap is the downfall of our young people, it is trash, garbage, crap, I just do not get how they can listen to that garbage, they do not care about the instruments, just vulgar rhyming words talking about the thug life.
This song sums up very well what I still feel for someone who made me feel a very big and special love in my life. But unfortunately we couldn't be together for a few reasons.
You tell me that you're leaving And I'm trying to understand I had myself believed I should take it like a man But if you gotta go, then gotta know That it's killing me And all the things I never seem to show I gotta make you see Girl, it's been so long Tell me how, could it be One of us know the two of us don't belong In each others company It hurts so much inside, you telling me goodbye You wanna be free You're knowing that you're going leaving me behind I gotta make you see I... gotta make you see I gotta make you see I still love you I still love you Ooh, baby, I really love you I... still love you People tell me I should win at any cost But now I see as the smoke clears away The battle has been lost I see it in your eyes, you never have to lie I'm out of your life Tonight, I'll dreaming away and you can still be mine But I'm dreaming a lie Dreaming a lie Makes me wanna die 'Cause I still love you I still love you Baby, baby, I love you Ooh, I still love you And when I think about the things you'll never know There's so much left to say 'Cause, girl, now I see the price of losing you Will be my hell to pay My hell to pay Each and every day Hear what I... say I still... Love you I still love you Oh, baby, I really love you I... still love you Baby, baby, I really love you I... love you Ooh, baby I really love... you!!!
amazing still today. I love the song it was written by Paul Stanley and Vinnie Vincent and couldn't have been possible without Vinnie Vincent's amazing versatility an emotional creativity.
One of the greatest guitarsolos ever made for a KISS song. Robben Ford did it and he blew Ace and Vinnie off the stage with this incredible piece of work, perfectly matching the pain in Pauls lyrics. I`ve never really liked ballads but this I think is the best song on the album, and Creatures is one hell of an album!
Paul, on this tune was as his best vocal performance Really.... After, it' s only a good song , no ?? : ) Well in 83 in France it works very well when you had 13th . Thanks again Paul !!!
This song is 39 years old or so,if it was a coffee table it would be an antique, many people search for older things that can be precious to them, personally, whether to hold or sell on for a profit, you can't sell this song, it's priceless,a ballad on a kiss album?, it's like Disney doing porn, they were finding their feet again and boy,did they find them, platform boots and all
Tonight I dream a way you could still be mine but I'm dreaming a lie. Dreaming a lie. So much left to say. This song killed me in JR high school. Wakefield in Tucson az.
This song reminds me of my former boyfriend Jacob Secrest. I still love him. He and broken up 8 months ago. I was 24 and he was 30 when we started dating back in September 2020. I had to let him go last month. It was really hard but it was for the best. I will always love Jacob. But I have to move on.
