Ok, I just turned 60 this year. I saw Kiss 3 times in my life, though I kind of lost interest in their music when it changed a little, after 'Kiss Alive1' in 1975. I seen the "Hotter than Hell" tour in NY, in 1974. They were new, different and fucking unbelievable. Back then they were spitting blood and blowing flames every song. Paul's voice was great. No one knew about them yet because 'Alive1" was still a year away from coming out. Then a little after that my teeny little brother was taking a Kiss lunchbox to school and that was it. Then in like 1982 I heard they took off their make up and got new members. Me and my friends hadn't listened to their music in about a decade and I never heard of Eric Carr or Vinnie Vincent back then. Decided to check them out in 1983. They were old I was sure, by then. I was like 25. They kicked fuckin ass .Paul was running around like he was on speed. The new guys played great even though I didn't recognize the new songs. Paul's voice was great. Wow! Then I went to the "Psycho Circus" reunion deal with original members in like 1999 I think. Now they have to be old. They were great again. Paul's voice was in fine shape, and now it's been 15 years later. Fuckin' A, I'm old at 40. Don't these guys ever get old? Now it's 20 years later. 'End of the Road' stuff going on, and people been complaining about Paul's voice, and Putting Kiss down for a few years now. What, is Paul supposed to sing like he use to forever. In the 70s before you tube, and the internet, and all the media bullshit everywhere. we didn't know anything about our favorite rock bands' personal shit and stuff. We didn't care. All we had was the albums, live concerts and a few rock mag's. That was it. That's all we knew about these rock stars. We loved them all. Kiss created miracles for so many fuckin' years. Cut them a break. Thanks Kiss. Damn, I got typers cramp lol.
The best promo for this Kruise. Amazing close up and personal performance. Captured fantastically. Should be some kind of an Award for this. Well done all.
Dirk Van Hecke Very nice of you Dirk. Ha, if only you would see the full versions of some of the videos. It take a lot of work and some very creative editing to pull a video like this off. Glade you like it.
Hey Mark, I was also on KISSKruise 2 -4 en 6 .. I also filmed KK6 indoorshow from row 7 and I think my friend sent you all the stuff to use it for the video of KISS Kruise 6 too... I also have a KISS tribute band and I also did a 5-cam mix once of a big show we played at the time too... I know it is a lot of hard work and you need lots of time to screen all the material to find the best shots etc.. only getting everything in sync is allready a job on its own... its is very very well done... I just don't understand KISS themselves can't put something out like this???
I have been on Kruises 2 - 4 -6 and I even filmed the whole indoorshow on Kruise 6. I believe my friend gave you the footage too :) And I know how much work all this is... I have a KISS tribute band myself and I sometimes made a multicam mix too... It take so much time to screen every bit of footage to get the right shots... and also getting everyting in sync is almost a job on its own!!... very wel done!!
unfortunately, I am not... my bank-account won't let me and I have my horses to care for... Also on KK6, my wallet, bank-cards and international passport got stolen at the hotel prior to the KISS Kruise .. I had a lot of extra arangements to make to get on the Kruise itself, it was a lot of stress to get all the paperwork done and get a new pass.. but in the end I (barely) made it.... and I don't want to go through that ever again :)
Gene still sound excellent to me, even Paul sounds ok on some tunes, but time is catching up with him vocally but he has been great for so many years, maybe it's time for them to call it a day. Mind you I still love them.
Paul's voice was good till about 2006/2007 after he did his " one live kiss " solo tour... He sounded awesome the range the power but........ After that... Like RIGHT after that his voice gave up the ghost.. FAST he got surgery but unfortunately didn't help.. But he was good for almost 40 years.. Crazy I couldn't do it for that long especially his singing style.. He had a good go:) I still love em
Yes he’s voice is sadly passed away with time . But there’s no reason to say it’s crap! I’m sure it very difficult for him! That’s like a painter loosing he’s eyesight. Yes he doesn’t sound that good anymore. But there’s no need to knock him down farther!
I can't see Paul lasting 2 or 3 more years touring. He has poured his heart n soul into this band especially when gene was absent in the mid 80s. Kudos to him. I love KISS like all the fans. I'm just glad they are playing songs they have never played live. Because they won't do this on the tour so it is quite a treat for me..I'm old school and love the deeper tracks.

His vocal style was really just shouting. From about 98-ish until he lost it he WAY over sang on songs...singing much higher than the original, holding notes too long, etc. He blew it out. That was the exact opposite of what he should have been doing as an older singer.
Yup his last good vocal was his last solo run. Sadly. But i got to see them just just before im so glad i did. I remember when they opened up with modern day delilah.... this is when you heard he was done for. This is why i won't pay scalpers for end of the road tour. Let's face it 99.9% of tickets for those shows are from scalpers and bandits. So that's 2 reasons not to go .
@@SealofPerfection agree. The last good show I saw was his Live to Win Tour. I had heard he was going to cancel Milwaukee (where Im from) because he was going to video the Chicago show. So I went to the Chicago show and it was great. One thing I liked is he didnt do all of the forced banter. He just talked. HIs voice was great. He started to fade at the end, but it still sounded really good. Ive got the DVD and it doesnt seemed fixed. Sure enough, even on the DVD his voice starts to sound a little tired at the end just like I remember. His voice held out a lot longer than most guys.
KISS will always be✌️✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥 5 decades, come on how many bands can say that.? I dated Paul back in the day and got to know Gene, Tommy and Eric, all good people. We are friends to this day. People need to embrace the fact that we have all been a part of 4 guys that Rocked our worlds, and are still rocking. I have been on all of the cruises with the band, and their family, GREAT TIMES AND FUN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
No body realizes how much I f---g appreciate this in all its warts and pimples! The mistakes are all a part of it!Just that I hear them being played is beyond euphoric!!! I wholeheartedly hope that there is going to be one that I could attend. The boys might want to most definitely lay off of Paul’s singing obligations and let the demon, hawk, and spaceman sing more songs.
I have been a kiss fan since a kid in the 70's, saw 4 kiss shows in the 80's and the reunion tour in 96, Paul i love you for trying god dam, you dont need the money and i wont pay money to see this. My kids want to go see you in VA beach and i told them I can't go
KISS needs drop the following songs on KISS Kruises. These songs are played on tour, every tour. Shout It Out Loud, I Love It Loud, War Machine, Cold Gin, Lick It Up, Black Diamond, Detroit Rock City, Rock n Roll All Nite. They should stick to songs that are rarely played. That is what people go to the KK for.
Yes Father Time is undefeated, but Kiss still put on the greatest rock show possible. I will have to see them again before they retire. I also have the Kiss Kruise on my list of things to do before I’m 30. This years cruise should hopefully be an indication of the end of the road setlist.
I'd pay good money to see all the people on the Starbird side of ship throwing up after hearing Paul's horrible voice LOL "Hey, what's wrong buddy?? Bad Seafood?" "No, I went to the KISS show!!" LMAO
*no... I am talking about the fact that they actually ended the show with "I" from The Elder says ALOT about how they are seeing how much The Elder is truly loved by KISS fans... they would never play this even 5 years ago... let alone end the show with it*
I find it amazing they want to organize a 3 year tour..I mean, with all respect for all these men did and ment for music, But after 2000, all was a bit sad right?
Well filmed, but a bit painful, not slagging but Paul’s vocals are suffering, boys u don’t need the money, so don’t milk it, , you tube will always have good live kiss shows for all the little new fans, I even found live donninton 1988 when I was there, amazing🤟🏻
37:50 Is That You sounds completely wrong. It’s in standard tuning on the album (E) and it’s in D here. Sounds like a dirgy Metallica song or something.
At this point...I’d take an unplugged tour, where Paul can focus on his voice, then let’s call it a day. Love the guy, don’t get me wrong, have for four decades. But he looks and sounds like he’s in pain.
Go Pack You got a point. I might pay to see that. I hope Paul doesn't call it quits yet. He still sounds good. I read these post and some of them are way too harsh.
Pauls voice is shot, and it pains me to say that because hes one of my favorites dating back to 2nd grade. Thats mark I Kiss, not like all the newbies.
Eric looked really really bored the entire show and looked to be just trying to get through it. So cant really blame him for trying to get a little stick throwing practice in on the side lol.
Notice how the set is skewed to Gene sung songs. They know Pauls in trouble singing. A common sense move would be EXTRACT Tommy and add Ace. Then Paul could let Ace sing his songs and lighten the load on Paul even more. Gene and Ace can still sing their songs, but sadly Paul is a fallen rock star, a shattered version of his former glory.
so awesome seeing these guys still at it. saw them in '85, '96 (twice), and 2000. i love the ones who criticize them in the comments here as they sit at home and watch them rock a huge crowd. AGAIN. oh, i'm sorry, and what band are you in? *crickets* nothing has changed. i had bozo classmates in 1978 saying "Kiss sucks" while i laughed at them because some of us got it and knew they were destined to become great. You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best, The Hottest, Wealthiest and Smartest Band In The World.. KISS :) still got sour grapes? try therapy!
Hey at least he is singing here! Show 2 looked like it was full of backing tracks to help Paul along! He was probably A/B'ing which he'll run live for three years..
it hard right now to call the poilce on my mom right now cause everybody told me not to im scared to do it right now cause of call 911 on my mom and everybody told me no more.
Kind of surprised they come on stage this way. No introduction, fanfare, (naturally no Pyro). I know the cruise is intimate but I thought that's what the acoustic and the Q&A was all about.
Paul says we give us on the top. It's not much true. Many years ago he had a good voice. He had one of Rocken's best voices. Now it's sad to hear him singing. I saw kiss in the 90's 96 with all the original members that was good. I live on those memories. Have seen kiss 4 times. Started listening to those 1977. I still love Kiss but do not want to spend my money watching 2 members of the band play where one of them almost does not have the voice left. No thanks. Ace and Peter would of course have been on the final tour.
I first saw them in 1980, I was 16 in London, been a fan since 74, I’m not a hater of the new line up, but it’s painful to listen to with the vocals as it is now, I think Paul is struggling more than gene, I say hang up the boots now u really don’t need to milk us out of more money.
I love them. Yes Gene have still voice and Its good. I saw Kiss first time In 1984. Eric Carr on the drum. I saw Kiss 4 times and I saw the orginal members 2 times. Like you say dont milk us fore moore Money. Paul have no good voice. Its bad to listning to him. And he had one of the best voice In the Rock. I was 12 years old in 1984 when I saw them fore the first time. It was my bigest night when I saw Kiss Live. Its not Kiss today.
However some don’t know how to do that and others would use that opportunity to take advantage of them and sell something I created for free and all to enjoy
I went to the farewell concert in New Orleans, not going to see them again even if Ace, Peter Bruce, and Vinnie were with them. The sooner they are gone the better. Paul and Gene are money hungry and dont know when to give it up. Now I have a question. On these cruises that they do do they get out and mingle and meet crowd or are they just there to put on concerts?
