Kiss was my first concert, these guys are forever legends. All these people who grew up with them and still criticize to this day about Ace and Peter need a reality check. Let them play forever and enjoy the experience. Wtf is the problem lmao
I strongly disagree with Paul about doing another album. I don't care if it isn't gonna be played live. I just want it to exist. New KISS material is always welcome! And frankly, I love what the current era of the band sounds like in the Studio, and I haven't heard enough of it from the 2 albums we got. I want more! Sonic Boom and Monster were both awesome! I want to hear more from Tommy and Eric! Just cause they new songs won't be Love Gun or Deuce doesn't mean they won't still be listened to and appreciated. I listen to Sonic Boom and Monster all the time, and never hear those songs live. I'd love to, but having the albums at least exist makes me happy!
Also, consider this.....IF they write their BEST song ever...people will love it just as much as 'the classics". The challenge has been thrown down- C'mon Gene and Paul!
@@romelovesdan Honestly yeah, I think some of the songs on Sonic Boom were some of their best ever. I loved Modern Day Delilah, Say Yeah, Never Enough, and When Lightning Strikes.
Look, they are winding up,if not for Covid, the tour would be done….Paul and Gene at 70 are not in that mindset…they just want to celebrate the history on the live shows..and move on
@@Trabant601-94 Well that was due to unpopularity lol not cause they chose not to do it. Carnival of souls there probably would've been a tour if the reunion didn't happen.
Nice, thanks for recording this. I still think a new KISS album can do very well if the songs are really strong. Look at the last JUDAS PRIEST album FIREPOWER. People loved it and many old fans think now its one of there favorite Judas album ever.
I would just want one last new song from them. Some kind of an epic goodbye. Not a song that would be written in a hotel room during one night as they often did, but something they really played with, gave it their full attention and polish it. Just so we have some closure.
His sentiment is correct about old groups making new albums. They probably aren't going to sell. But he's wrong when he says "nobody" wants to hear a new album from The Rolling Stones. I want to hear it. I think their song Living In A Ghost Town from last year is one of the best songs of the last 10 years. And their song Gloom And Doom about 5 years ago is also great. I'll listen and I might even buy it. But, yeah, I released a new album and nobody bought it either. LOL
@@mungofinalfi4480 I listened to it on RU-vid. I was not that impressed. The first song Angry is good, but they had a co-writer help them with that. If you have heard the album what do you think of it? I liked their previous album A Bigger Bang a lot.
@@thomasvikstrom8824 Yes I know, but I dont see how someone can say that when the tour now has the same boring setlist, Paul lip synching, everyone looks bored, no one hardly moves around. I just dont understand.
I try to respect peoples opinions, but anyone who says they would rather see Kiss now than in 77 is completely out of their mind. Honestly thats such an absurd statement that I wonder if that guy works for Kiss and was planted in the audience to say that lol.
Thanks for the Covid lesson on the vaccine!!! My mom and Dad, both fully vaccinated. Dad passed away on September 23rd and mom is finally recovering and missing him dearly because they missed their 50th anniversary by 2 days. Also wasn’t allowed to talk to him before they put him on the ventilator. So don’t tell me about how the vaccine is the best thing ever!!! Please!!
@@therockexperiencewithmikeb8365 Thanks brother. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kiss. I’m 48 and I’ve loved them since I was 5. And with what the road crew has been saying lately I don’t feel they should be preaching about Covid safety right now!!! I love your content!! I’m a fan!! Thanks Mike!
Bonjour Paul i'm french woman, / I'm really sorry for your dad💐, I hope your mom is better, I agree with you// KISS shouldn't have talked about it , it shocks me it's not their role. I'm on the other hand, in France we push people to be vaccinated, they never talk about people who died from it. We have a lot of them and now it's 3rd dose and for KISS too- We make manifs against the health pass, they block our life because we do not get vaccinated , we do not know what is in this product, but contains iron that is dangerous for our immune defenses. Courage a vous 🙋🏼♀️🤘 (google translate)
Not really cuz "old favorites" were new at some point so its just laziness and utter nonsense. They just know they wouldn't make any $ today and don't wanna put in the work
That dude that said hed rather see Kiss now than in 77 has to be a plant, he works for Gene and Paul and they planted him in the audience just to say that. Theres no way anyone would think Kiss now is better than 77 Kiss.
Bullshit!!! I've seen tours since 77 and the show today is better than 77!! I enjoy the tour today more than any other tour. Your opinion is yours, mine is mine. Don't tell me no one thinks that!
I tend to think he was talking about how far the technology has come since 1977. The sound is most definitely better, but at the same time, I see what you're saying, too. I've always said if I had a time machine I'd go back and see all the early, early, Alice Cooper tours, because of its historical significance.
I remember Peter and Ace recollecting on the Tom Snyder show on Halloween 1979 how the drum riser would jump and skip on Black diamond as it ascended leaving Peter befuddled!!!!!
Cop out answer on a new album…Those new songs will go onto be new “snapshots” from our lives.I look back on when “Sonic Boom” and “Monster” came out with great memories and I know lots of younger fans that treasure those records.Judas Priest,Alice Cooper,Cheap Trick,AC/DC,Blue Öyster Cult etc have all released great new music.KISS should do the same! Instead of just rehashing the past over and over and over and over and over.
Because there used to be more of a band than brand percentage and now it’s more brand than band. They don’t care about music they’re just a corporate show . the musicians they used to work with were more into it… kiss current lineup is Paul the real boss ,Gene and two employees. They don’t have the fire 🔥 they had recording albums like creatures, lick it up ,revenge. They did sonic boom because they were inspired by Walmart $$$, because if you remember Gene and Paul (in just about all their interviews at the time )almost always mentioned ,that they wouldn’t make any new kiss albums. Monster has some cool tunes but the vibe isn’t as hungry as creatures ,Lick it up or Revenge. Almost Sounds like demos that could be even better…. Especially if Eric Carr was still alive. as good as Singer is Carr would of brought the album monster to a whole other level that album would truly be a monster ,cause Carrs drums were so heavy. Man ,king of the mountain comes to mind aside from the whole creatures and LIU album sonic is a good Eric singer album but I think Carr would be better for monster if he was still with us may he RIP…. and imagine Vinny ….if he was in good shape mentally and also was working on monster . His writing ideas and exciting playing that sounds original… instead of boring fakeMan ,I mean spaceman Tommy kiss road manager/oh I mean member. Tommy is a nice guy ,but his playing is too derivative and as boring as watching paint dry. He was boring to me in black and blue and he’s even more boring now ,(sorry it’s just an opinion & you know the saying lol…. And I think partly he’s boring ( besides his personality, even though he’s nice ) is because Gene and Paul tell him to play like Ace style for the most part…him and Ace may both come out of the pentatonic rock ‘n’ roll players school of rock but as I mentioned,Tommy is told to deliberately sound more like Ace than himself… And sonic boom and monster is more of a Paul with guest album again (like when Gene was gone in the 80s ,only now gene is more present or it wouldn’t pass off as a legitimate Kiss album post 80s mtv ) but Paul calls the shots again more than the other 3 cause he’s a control freak . It’s almost always better when there’s more of a band effort than one guy telling everyone how it should be…And when he produces it’s awful…and Gene appeases him because he doesn’t want to argue w a diva ,he just wants the business to go with no problems and get paid …. and lastly I think they’re trying to appease a kiss music base instead of not caring what people think and doing what they want like destroyer being a trailblazer or revenge because that’s the inspired fire they had at the time . Now they try too hard to sound like what they think their fans want to hear 🤟
The difference with Gene is that he is completely shameless about plugging things. You can tell Paul is reluctant to do it to some extent, since he wants to be respected as an artist, but Gene just does not care.
Oh, Please. Ace has been sober for 15 years. He's touring an putting out albums every two years. He said he would do the tour if asked. Stop blaming "bad decisions" for him not being there.
@@kellyremple8982 Origins vol. I & II weren't a mess; Space Invader; not a mess; the Alice Cooper opening set, not a mess. I saw it myself. End of the Road tour? Now that's a mess
Sounds like that dude who says the End of The Road tour is better than seeing them in 1977 is full of baloney! How ridiculous...I saw them 12 times and they were infinitely better back in the day on a bad night compared to a "good night" on this tour. Perhaps he was paid to say that??
@@paulharding706 Respect for a founding member of KISS has to be earned? Btw, his set list on cruise was spontaneous. Minimal time to practice songs from the elder. Paul barely included Ace. Gene wants Ace back, its Paul who wont budge. One and only Ace Frehley ..Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RESPECT!!
@@jameskonners8304 yes, respect. You know you're on the Kruise. You rehearse....period. Plus, he's fucked up his chances with the band....more than once. For the EOTR tour, he's making demands he has no business making, particularly in public. How is that respectful? He blew any credibility . You earn respect.
Ya they could have just alerted them a bit - new marketing opportunities and it would be building upon the foundation while also distinguishing from past eras leaving them sacred.
Yes that guy was a plant I'm sure...Kiss in 74-78 we're freaking awesome!!! Now the new technology adds to the show now but still doesn't matter. Just watch Paul lynde Halloween special...
Yeah exactly ,the new stage show is like a mix of Vegas and a circus act.Its fucking lame. It's just a mish mash of every stage effect possible. Their not the hottest band in the world anymore,Rammstein and eventually GHOST have taken that from them.
God love Gene and Paul, but I am SO over them taking shots at Ace and Peter. In many ways, Gene and Paul are just is responsible for what happened to the original band, and questionable business decisions were part of what scuttled the reunion of the original four.. I’m not saying the ace and Peter are innocent, or that the band would be better off with them on stage. I’m just saying that there’s plenty of blame to go around, and it is rare for Gene or Paul to accept any responsibility.
I know a cool trick. At midnight go into your bathroom , put 5 candles around the sink in a pentagram pattern. Turn out the lights, put a $50 bill in your hands and look at the mirror and say "Gene Simmons" 6 times Gene Simmons will pop out of the sink and take the $50
The people who pay thousands to go on a KISS cruise aren't the brightest. Imagine how much overtime they have to put in at Walmart in order to save up for it.
Paul Stanley “ get vaccinated because it’s proven “. Also Paul Stanley “ I ran to the hospital as soon as I got COVID even though I’ve been double vaxed “ . He / KISS must be getting paid to promote the jab
At first I was all for a vaccine and got the shots myself, but yeah at this point I have to question its effectiveness. Fully vaccinated people are still getting sick as shit.
You do realize that the most conservative districts have the least vaccination rates and the highest death tolls for COVID. There’s a saying going along which is “red equals dead”
So sick of paul saying the majority of the people at the shows dont know the obscured songs ! Realy ! 95% of the people their are die hard kiss fans that want something different! That's the reason I wont go is because it's the same shit since the reunion tour ! Give or take 5 songs ! Stop please !! Mix it up !
Why does nobody ever ask any hard hitting questions? “Hey Paul, is there any truth to the rumors that you’re lip syncing?” “Hey Gene and Paul, why did you guys cut Eric Carr off of his insurance?”
@@jeffjohnson5544 if they were told not to ask certain questions then it’s a dead giveaway the band has something to hide. Also let them escort you out. It’s all about creating perception. Ask a question, get people talking.
"Hey Paul, is it true that Eric was going to be fired from the band even before he was sick?" "Gene, is it true that you suck at everything else in life other than prostituting your kiddie band, but even that idea was manager Bill Aucoin's who initially built the KI$$ merchandise?" empire?"
@@Rhett-Christopher Exactly. The mandates are a crock of shit and it's been shot down. People who support this jab simply have too much pride. They rather cling on the fact that somehow they still might be right even if it takes them to the grave. It’s a classic case of the sunk-cost fallacy plus deep cognitive dissonance about the sunk-cost fallacy in the belief systems surrounding their whole hand-me-down world view and authority worship.
Hypercritical Paul is he’s name . He’s preaching Covid . Go look at a video from a few weeks ago he’s putting guitar pics in he’s mouth and spitting them out so the crowd can catch them .
Paul has Been Aging Beady and becoming mean and critical for a long Times, I 'm against this injection because there are deaths that Stanley Eisen has not talked about because of that- I gave been a French fan for 38 years now , Ace I love , Kiss especially old..Deuce.....j écoute maintenant Darkness (Google translate)🇨🇵
Growing old is tough on singers, especially after vocal surgery. I think Paul sounds like my Jewish ex mother in law these days but it is what it is. His soul station stuff is less stressing on the chords and is really done well.
Um UM IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU SAY CANT YOU TELL !!! UM UM YOU GET HELP FROM DOCTOR!!!! OR JUST TRY ANOTHER TV SHOW. UM UM U KNOW AND MAYBE TRY SELF TALK ENGLISH LESSONS UM UM GO !!!!!
Enough of this bullshit about the set list. You won’t change it because it’s entirely prerecorded and mapped out down to the minute; the soundboards are online
The people who pay thousands to go on a KISS cruise aren't the brightest. Imagine how much overtime they have to put in at Walmart in order to save up for it.
? No comparison. Eric Singer is loyal. He plays for ONE "employer" only. Paul. Eric Carr would have had to quit his KISS job to play for somebody else.
